Charmante 2-Zimmer-Ferienhaus mit großem privatem Pool, herrliche Aussicht, in 30 Hektar Land, und nur 5 Minuten von Barga!

Turello ist eine schöne, frei stehende Ferienhaus mit 2 Schlafzimmern in völliger Abgeschiedenheit mit einem eigenen Pool. Das Haus liegt in einem weitläufigen Gelände (30 ha!)Einschließlich Weinreben und Kastanienwälder und bietet eine herrliche Aussicht über den Barga und die Berge im Hintergrund. Dies ist ein wirklich ruhiger Ort der Erholung, doch nur einer sehr kurzen Fahrt in die schöne Stadt von Barga!

Das Haus:
Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich eine geräumige, gut ausgestattete Küche / Esszimmer, mit Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Backofen, Herd und Mikrowelle sowie einen Kühl- / Gefrierschrank. Kamin. Tür zur überdachte Essbereich.
Die Küche führt durch offen zum Wohnraum, große Flügeltüren mit Blick auf den Garten.
Auch im Erdgeschoss ist ein Duschbad mit WC, Waschbecken und Dusche.
Im Obergeschoss, über eine Wendeltreppe (oder über im Freien, wenn die Gäste es vorziehen) gibt es zwei bedooms - ein Zweibettzimmer, die durch ein Doppel führt. Beide Räume verfügen über Außentüren. Beide Zimmern ist ein Extrabett auf Nachfrage anzupassen.

Wow, what a place!

Simply stunning place right away from it all in the Tuscan hills. We loved the pool, the quiet area and generally feeling relaxed. Barga was close and nearby with more than enough shops etc for food. The owner was so kind and welcoming, it was like staying with family! Definitely 5 stars from us!

Beautiful and peaceful villa

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful and very private villa. The house was very comfortable and well equiped. The pool was very nice and the grounds were lovely. The owners are a lovely couple and very friendly. We had lots of vegetables from Amadeo's garden which were really tasty. We had a great stay and would love to go back again.

A fantastic stay

We had a wonderful week at Turello. I can honestly say we have never stayed in such a perfect setting. The views are stunning and the pool was great - our girls loved swimming in it every day. The location was good - we enjoyed trips to Barga, Lucca, the climbing forest and even a day in Florence. Yes the drive to the house is daunting on that first arrival but it is so worth it. We would love to return one day!

Magical experience

Cool comfortable house high in the hills. Lovely setting a mix of gardens, olive and cherry orchards and woodland. We breakfasted to the song of blackcaps with bee eaters, hoopoes and buzzards glimpsed in flight. We felt very close to wildlife. The best pool we have ever swumIn. Clear mountain air. Delightful Barga and other villages nearby. Good places to eat within 10 minites drive. Lovely hosts, nearby if we had a problem but discrete. Arrived with delicious homegrown cherries and courgettes.

Private villa and pool in Barga

Amazing property, amazing pool. Everything you need to escape and enjoy the home home from home comforts. The house and grounds were beautiful and the pool was fantastic. Hosts very friendly and close by if needed and nothing to much trouble. Be aware a 4x4 will be needed to reach the house as very steep hills and tight turns not for the nervous driver, will be returning xx

We recieved a warm welcome by Mr. Chiappa, and the place is truly wonderful. The house itself is compact (and the stairs even more so), but large enough for the 4 of us. Everything felt fresh and clean. Mr. Chiappa also provided us with a box full of home grown tomatos, cougettes, cucumbers and herbs. They tasted perfectly.The house is also very well equipped with everything you might need. The road up to the house is narrow, and sometimes (very) steep. Although it gets easier everytime you drive up, I don't think it will ever really be easy. A car with sufficient torque and perhaps even 4wd would definitely help (but we also managed with 2wd SUV).But again, the place itself is like a small hidden jewel, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending two weeks here.

2 weeks family holiday

We had a wonderful time at Il Turello. The location and grounds are absolutely stunning and our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The drive up to the property is steep, but perfectly doable even with a larger SUV. There´s plenty to see and do around the area and we particularly enjoyed visting Barga, Lucca or just relaxing at the amazing pool! A house with a view

Il Turello provided us with the perfect holiday. It is totally private with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, and the owner, Amadeo, is charming and funny, helpful if you need it but never intrusive. The wonderful swimming pool was the icing on the cake, we had some lovely evenings stargazing and even though there is so much to do and see in this beautiful area, it was tempting to just stay put! The local town of Barga has lots to see and lots of nice little places to eat. Further afield is the medieval town of Lucca, well worth a day trip and don't miss the Ponte di Diavolo on the way. Just one note of caution - the road up to the house is extremely steep so if flying hire yourself the smallest 4x4 you can - it gets easier with practice and is totally worth the effort. We left totally relaxed and refreshed, and I very much hope we will return in the future.

We were lucky enough to spend three wonderful weeks in this charming, rustic retreat—even though we had a bit of bad luck with the weather. Far away from the typical tourist hustle and bustle, surrounded by pure nature and the nighttime sounds of roaming, grunting wild boars, squeaking foxes, and growling wolves, we truly enjoyed our evenings. Even the thunderstorms were quite impressive.Amedeo, the seasoned old adventurer, was a kind and helpful host. He was always there when we had a problem—like with the washing machine or a power outage due to a heavy storm. But for us, that’s all part of the experience.We especially loved the amazing pool and the homemade pizzas from the wood-fired oven—definitely a highlight and a must!The drive to the house is quite the challenge, with some very steep and narrow 180-degree turns. It was doable with our Cascada, though definitely sporty . Large SUVs might not be ideal due to their size—but that’s just our personal impression. Just be aware .Another highlight: there were hardly any bees, wasps, or especially horseflies. We’ve had very different experiences in similar holiday homes. The surrounding area offers everything you need—restaurants, shops, Lucca is not far, and from Barga you can take the train to Florence. The landscape and all the little villages are simply dreamy.Despite the occasional bad weather and the adventurous road to the house, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Peaceful and Private

We had a wonderful stay at the Cottage. The house itself is cozy, with just right amount of space for our family of 4 (kids aged 13 and 9). The internal, spiral stairs are very narrow, but the external stairs provide a good alternative when necessary. The outside space and pool are fantastic, well cared for, and incredibly private. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us with open hearts, but definitely respected our space and privacy. When our younger son had a bad accident while playing football, they were quick to help us and make sure we got all the medical care and supplies we needed. I could not thank them enough for their kindness. I will always remember it. The area is beautiful. Lots to explore. We had our mountain bikes, and the trails are fantastic. But it's important to note, the house is on a steep hill. The road to the house is curvy and narrow - not for the faint of heart. But even with our rather large, family minivan we had no problems. I would highly recommend this property and definitely hope to visit again.

Wonderful quiet and secluded cottage

After spending 9 fun but hectic days in Rome and Venice, this was a great place to wind down and have some quiet time for our family of 4. The pool was a major draw for us and it was heavenly. It was a record heat wave when we were there but even without air conditioning the cottage stayed relatively cool. Amedeo and his family were friendly, accessible, and responsive while also giving us our privacy. Barga is a wonderful town and we were lucky to be there for their annual Piazzarelle festival so that music could be heard from the cottage each night. The area is hilly and there are some great hiking trails around so you'll want to be ready for some climbing... A skill you'll also need for the tight spiral staircase :) As many have said, the driveway is a challenge but any half decent car can handle it and you do get used to it. If you're not very comfortable with a manual transmission, though, you may want to try to get an automatic. Considering how secluded the cottage is, it is amazing that water and electricity are not an issue. The fact that it also has a washer, dishwasher, microwave, etc, is also impressive. It would be nice if there were more cooking tools and basic staples in the kitchen and the stove/oven could use some care but these are minor issues that certainly did not affect our overall enjoyment of this very sweet little cottage. We loved Il Turello and we recommend it to anyone.

Ruhig entspannt Toskanisch

Eine tolle Unterkunft mit eigenen Pool. Das Haus ist einfach gehalten bietet aber alles was man Brauch. Für Sommer Aufenthalte Perfekt. Der Pool ist das Highlight der Ferienwohnung. Das Haus ist sauber und sehr ruhig gelegen in den Toskanischen Bergen in der Nähe der schönen Stadt Barga. Das Vermieter Ehepaar ist sehr nett und authentisch. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist etwas schwierig da es konstant Berg auf geht auf einer kleinen Straße. Zum entspannen und Ausflüge in der Region wunderbar.

Positiv: man ist wirklich ganz für sich, ca. 30 ha Land gehören dazu, großer Pool, Liegestühle mit Sonnendach, Patio um im Schatten sich zurückzuziehen.. großer Esstisch draußen unter einem Baum der Vermieter ist ein sehr freundlicher Mann und offen für alles Negativ: Schlafzimmer oben über eine 40 cm breite Wendeltreppe oder über eine Außentreppe, nachts nur mit Taschenlampe möglich kein WC oben, das sollte man wissen für einen nächtlichen Toilettengang wir haben einen SUV und hatten Befürchtungen, dass wir beim Rauf- und Runterfahren irgendwo hängen bleiben... Nicht der Weg ist das Ziel.

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, nur der Weg zum Haus ist Adventure. Mit unserem Golf 8 Kombi war es schon stellenweise sehr eng. Nach ein paar Mal rauf und runter gewöhnt man sich an die Tortur, aber das Auto leidet. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, spricht Englisch und hat uns ein paar mal besucht. Man hört ihn schon von Weitem, weil er entweder mit einem Jeep ohne Auspuu, oder auf dem Aufsitzmäher kommt 😊. Der Pool ist sehr schön, das Grundstück riesig, aber nachts können Wölfe, Wildschweine und andere Tiere ums Haus laufen. Wir haben unseren sehr großen Hund (Leonberger) mitgehabt, was Sicherheit gab. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner, aber auch etwas anstrengender Urlaub. Trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen.

We are glad you had a lovely time and enjoyed this property , and the pool, but not so happy to hear you found it a tiring place to be - generally we get comments that the peace of the place makes for an incredibly relaxing and restful time...I am glad that you would still recommend the place nevertheless. For future guests please note that wolves do NOT come as far down the mountains as this location, and if you are lucky enough to see a wild boar (to see the babies is best!), or a porcupine, or deer etc then it will be at night, and should be a fantastic experience. herrliche Lage

wir waren von dem Objekt begeistert, die Lage herrlich in dieser riesigen Anlage. Der Pool - einfach Klasse. Passte alles, hatten jedoch Ärger mit dem Internet, das drei Tage nicht zur Verfügung stand. Weiter hatten wir an einem Tag kein Wasser. Was in der Objektbeschreibung nicht stimmt, ist die Entfernung zu Geschäften oder Lokalen für die Grundversorgung. Steht darin "wenige Minuten zu erreichen" Also! weit und breit kein Geschäft oder Lokal !!!! Und die wenigen Minuten nach Barga mit dem Auto stimmt auch nicht. Man braucht dazu gut 15 Minuten . Ohne farbahren Untersatz ist man aufgeschmissen. In Barga ist alles vorhanden. Trotz aller Umstände haben wir das Haus , den Pool und die Landschaft genossen. Wer Ruhe will und nicht gestört werden will, hat hier seine Freude daran. Franz

It is really sad to see a 3 star review following all the 5 star reviews this house has (there is one other 3 star but the reviewer confirmed to us it was a mistake as she has come three times but just pressed wrong buttons!). It is great to hear you loved the house and the pool and views etc but it is a shame that you did not appreciate the area. I am afraid I don't understand the comments re the house not being close to facilities. The property is a 4km drive right into the centre of Barga and for a mountain property, an 8 min drive (per google maps) is really close to facilities, and as you have mentioned in the review Barga is full of bars and restaurants. Nowhere is of course as lively as it would be in usual years due to less visitors because of the COVID situation, but the beauty of this property is you have total isolation and privacy yet a short drive to all facilities. Almost everything is open now (unless you are going out at siesta time) and there is loads to do in the area, which is why guests return again and again. I am wondering if maybe you didn't download the local information pack.. Sincere apologies re problems with the internet - the modem had been damaged by a storm and it took a couple of days to get the engineer to sort it out due to staff restrictions re COVID regulations. Such issues are usually resolved within 24 hours. The water was a really unlucky situation but luckily it was immediately resolved for you. It seems you were a little unlucky but I am glad you had a good holiday overall.

Wundervolles Haus für vierköpfige Familie

Wer Erholung liebt und ein paar Serpentinen nicht scheut, liegt bei Il Turello richtig. Das Haus ist im typischen toskanischen Stil eingerichtet, bietet mit W-Lan und Spülmaschine aber auch moderne Annehmlichkeiten. Der Pool samt Außenbereich ist eine Wucht, der Pizzaofen prima. Wir haben hier zwei sehr schöne Wochen verbracht und können das Objekt weiterempfehlen.

Notre séjour a été parfait. Soleil, baignade et quiétude. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et très discrets. La propriété est très grande et accessible partout aux locataires. Attention à la route très escarpée pour arriver à la location.

Top locatie

Eigenaars zijn super aardig en behulpzaam. Super locatie met een grote buitenruimte en een heerlijk zwembad, het huis is simpel maar bijna alles aanwezig. In de omgeving is genoeg te doen. In Barga kun je heerlijk eten en er is genoeg keuze. Bedank voor jullie gast vrijheid. Groet Roy en Mirjam.

Geweldig mooie plek

Dit huis ligt op het terrein van de eigenaar, een oudere huisarts. Bij aankomst allervriendelijkst opgevangen. Even een korte introductie en verder werden we met rust gelaten. Wat een leuke mensen. Om bij het huis te komen moet je ongeveer 2 km vanaf een grotere weg omhoog de bergen in over een smalle weg met best wel wat lastige bochten. Eenmaal op het terrein van de eigenaar nog even een stukje verder rijden, waarbij het de eerste keer wel ff wennen is. Zelfs met een grote SUV lukt het, maar je moet wel kunnen sturen. Het huis is niet groot, met 1 slaapkamer boven en nog een paar bedden in de hal. De badkamer is eenvoudig maar prima. Eigenlijk is het hele huis eenvoudig. Mooi zwembad en veel ruimte buiten om het huis, op diverse niveau's. Natuurlijke schaduw en hoekjes om ook uit de wind te zitten. Huis is voorzien van goed tuinmeubilair en verder is alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Barga ligt op 7 km afstand en heeft voldoende eetgelegenheden, winkels en je kunt er prima de auto opladen. Dichterbij, op 5 minuten rijden liggen ook wat restaurants die prima zijn. Toplocatie, met geweldige eigenaren.

We kunnen bevestigen wat onze voorgangers als commentaar hadden achtergelaten, zijnde: zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame doch discrete eigenaars, prachtig terrein en heerlijk zwembad, goed uitgeruste woning zowel indoor als outdoor met o.a. goed werkende wifi, heerlijke douche, pizzaoven, goed uitgeruste keuken, verschillende zithoekjes met meubilair, ligstoelen, bbq, beschutte parkeerplaats, ... m.a.w. je komt er niets te kort. Mooie regio. Barga is een prachtig stadje. Conad supermarkt op 10 minuten. 30 minuten van Lucca, 45 minuten van Pisa, uurtje van de zee...canyoning, grotten e.a. vlakbij. De klim naar Il Turello is inderdaad pittig maar anderzijds ook weer charmant en uiteindelijk doenbaar zonder al te veel problemen. Eens aangekomen op locatie is het trouwens meer dan de moeite waard want wat een prachtige tuin met vergezichten!ook de contacten met het agentschap verliepen vlekkeloos. Aanrader!

Dejligt hus med skøn pool

Huset fungerer fint, og der var, hvad der skulle være. Vi var meget begejstrede for poolen og terrasseområdet og den storslåede udsigt. Værten Dr. Chiappi var meget venlig og hjælpsom, og efter en dag med voldsomt blæsevejr ryddede han hele vejen og terrassen og rengjorde poolen. Virkelig imponerende. Alt i alt dejlige 14 dage, selvom vejen derop er noget af en udfordring.

Heerlijk rustige locatie met prachtig zwembad

We hebben genoten van de ruimte en rust van deze accomodatie! Als je eenmaal gewend bent aan het steile weggetje naar boven, is het een en al relaxen! Barga is een leuk stadje, de klim naar Sommocolonia de moeite waard, Lucca goed te berijden en ook een dagje strand is goed te doen vanaf Il Turello! Amadeo is een super vriendelijke man die je leuke tips geeft en je privacy respecteert. Echt een heerlijke week gehad!

Tutto davvero molto bello e curato. Spazio esterno impeccabile e piscina fantastica. Unico neo, è stato raggiungere la proprietà in quanto è stato difficile (abbiamo dovuto chiedere a delle case vicine dice si trovasse). Un consiglio: oltre le indicazioni testuali, aggiungete anche delle foto per far capire meglio come raggiungerlo. Per il resto, Amedeo e Paola sono dei fantastici host, molto simpatici e disponibili!
