The host was great. He made our stay very comfortable and was attentive to our needs. This allowed us the focus on the reason why we were there. The fishing was superb and we would stay again!

Everything was perfect except the listing is misleading. There is no washer and dryer in the unit. Renters must go to the neighboring garage to access laundry facilities. It is an inconvenience to do laundry if you are out and about during the day.

I think they forgot about us. I never got the instructions so I messaged the owner. He promptly sent me the info and we got in with no issues. The garage area smelled like a car was in there, and it was very hot. The upstairs was better, but it was clear the A/C was just put on. The overhead lights did not work, and the fan wobbled and looked like it was "melted". We did without the light or fan. There were crumbs on top of one of the beds, on the table, and plastic wrappers on the floor, so it was clear that it wasn't cleaned. With that we started looking more and saw stained mattress covers, moldy bathroom and window blinds. It left us feeling a little yuck. Bathroom needs an update with floor and the shower, with rust and stains on the very small shower stall. If the weather was cooler (85 and 100 percent humidity) the fire pit would still not feel very inviting with rusty chairs and a tire for a ring. The apartment was very convenient for the wedding we were attending, as it was just a walk across the street. But without that draw the local beach (5 min walk) and very small town (20 min walk) would not be enough for me to return. The previous reviews had me expecting a very clean space to make my life easier (happy wife happy life) and Vrbo added a 70 cleaning fee which for this property could have gotten me a very nice hotel in Washington NC. The pics just didn't match what we saw, and the property needs a refresh.

Thanks for staying, but are you sure you stayed at our property? I walked through about 15 minutes before you arrived as we live right next door and I didn't notice any of the issues you point out, nor do we have a tire for a fire pit ring. Regardless, thanks for staying and best of luck on future reservations elsewhere.

Great place

Located at the heart of town. Local eateries are close and good. Property has what’s needed for a comfortable stay. Internet service was important requirement and it was very good. Owners were great to work with and very responsive.

Great location

Took my son fishing for a couple of days and really enjoyed our stay. Easy access to all that Belhaven has to offer. Very friendly community with everything we needed. Owner, Billy reached out and could not have been nicer. We'll be back.

Fantastic Hosts, Relaxing, Fun

From communications at initial booking all the way through checking out, this Host was incredible. They made our stay feel as if we’ve been part of the community all our lives. Incredibly friendly, helpful and overall real good people. If you’re looking for a nice relaxing time in a small town on the water - this is the place. Belhaven appears to NC’s best kept secret. We feel we have made some long-lasting friendships. Thank you so much to this Host, we just can’t say enough positive things. HIGHLY recommended.
