The place was lovely and as described, very clean. Perfect for a large family gathering!The host was very pleasant and quick to respond to any questions.It is surrounded by lovely gardens and we enjoyed eating outside. It is a great location to escape to after visiting Pompei, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and the Amalfi coast.

We were two families with teenagers and the house was great. Relaxing by the pool, with lots of shaded spots outside - and the house stays relatively cool in the heat. The kids could hang out in the upstairs sitting room or play pool - though they spent most the time in the water. Nice visit to Salerno (very close) and a longer outing to Pompeii and Herculaneum (less than an hour away) - and lots of other things for another visit. Giuseppe was a great host - very responsive, kind and helpful.

Casa Rosa was everything we wanted. It was spacious and airy with all we could want in terms of amenities. Giuseppe was a superb host, a perfect gentleman. He was keen to please and help out when asked. The pool was a God-send on the really hot days. It was very clean and well maintained. We cannot recommend Giuseppe and Casa Rosa highly enough. We had a fantastic stay.

Perfect getaway for family and friends

Our host Giuseppe could not have been more obliging. The large property with lots of character was exactly what we were hoping for. In a rural area, within close proximity to Pompeii and the Amalfi, and the wonderful city of Salerno. In the heat of the summer, the swimming pool and lovely cool home were a blessing.

A week in Campania

Casa Rosa is a large house with space and comfort for 8 although we were only 7. The pool is large and Guiseppe keeps it beautifully clean. The house is located within an hour of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum the Amalfi Coast and is an ideal place to sight see all the extraordinary monuments around Vesuvius. Guiseppe is kind and responsive host, his neighbours less so but he did everything to make our stay a happy and agreeable one.

Three weeks just chilling

We can only repeat all of the positive reviews listed and after reading them this is why we chose to book our holiday at Villa Rosa. Giuseppe is an excellent host who goes above and beyond, communication was excellent from the moment we booked the holiday, during the holiday and until the day we left. We have many happy memories of our lazy days in this pleasant rustic setting compared to the hustle and bustle of our day trips out always looking forward to returning to the tranquility of the villa

A house with a very nice pool.

We liked the house very much. There is room enough when its raining (1 day). The billiard is time consuming with the kids, but fun for erveryone. The premisis is quite and tidy with a bathroom for every sleeping room. The pool is private. Pompeji and Vesuvio is less than 50km drive and good reachable. The house owner is very helpful, if any question arises. We enjoyed our week there, thanks Guiseppe!

Villa Rosa 2019

Villa Rosa is a hidden gem. The house is large on 4 floors and oozes rustic charm. The pool was secluded and well appointed with a lovely shaded eating area and sun loungers around. Giuseppe was a charming host and a great source of information. The Villa is in very easy reach of Pompeii, Paestum, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and the Amalfi coast. The local town of San Cipriano Picentino was close, with bars and all other amenities. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and hope to return. Thank you so much Giuseppe!

Beautiful authentic Italian house near Amalfi coast

From all 9 in our group we thank Giuseppe for the wonderful days in this beautiful country home! He arranged for fresh mozzarella, prosciutto and bread on arrival and provided everything we needed for our stay.The house is very well maintained and clean. We all fit comfortable in the 4 bedrooms. Water pressure in the showers was a little iffy at the moments but the pool compensated 😄and the weather was perfect! We were able to visit Napoli, Pompeii, Sorento,Amalfi, Minori,Maiori,Positano and Capri. The best part of the house is the garden where we spent every evening for dinner under the olive trees and mornings under the rose vines!

Fabulous Italian villa

A charming authentic Italian villa. Wow. Spotlessly clean in a lovely quiet country location ( so yes you may hear an animal - it’s the country !) but was all blissful and tranquil to us. Giuseppe was an amazing host and really nice man, who takes great care of the house. We loved the pool and gardens. The house is large on 3 floors. There is a big kitchen table and all the facilities you need. There is also plenty of seating outside. We didnt use it but there is also a Billiard table, BBQ and Table Tennis We had an amazing time in this unique house and would highly recommend.

Villa Rosa is an impressive, large property with a lot of character. The garden is huge and the pool a good size (10m x 5m). The rooms are spacious and so is the kitchen and the reception rooms. We were seven adults and had plenty of space. A car is a must as there is not much within a walking distance. We shopped in a small supermarket 7 minutes away by car or a large one 20 minutes away. There is an excellent restaurant A Casa Mia 5 minutes drive away. Giuseppe is an great host, replies to messages quickly and can give advice on anything in the area. The only slight issues we had was the noise of the dogs and farm animals from the farm next door and mosquitoes so bring bug spray! Overall it was an excellent location for relaxing and exploring the Amalfi Coast.

Family Gathering -

If you want a little piece of Italy then this is the place for you. The Villa offered us everything we needed - a large swimming pool and covered pool area for shade, ensuite facilities with all the bedrooms and a downstairs shower room. The gardens are beautiful and the BBQ area was in constant use for lazy dinners when we had been out touring the area. Within an hour of Naples, Pompeii and Amalfi it is the perfect place to tour the Amalfi coast but just enough out of the way to be authentically Italian. In the villages around we did not see another English person and the local restaurants were exceptional value. We particularly enjoyed Casa Mia which Guiseppe recommended for us. The perfect host, he made sure we had everything we needed including some tomatoes and courgettes from his garden. Air-conditioning in the bedrooms whilst noisy saved us and made sure we all got a good night's sleep.

our second visit to Casa Rosa was even better than we had imagined, as we felt more familiar with the home, grounds, and immediate area . We ranged in age from four to seventy five, and fun and distractions were found by all: many books were read by the pool, by the lily pond, or a chair in the shade. Our meals were taken at the shaded outdoor table, all made from local products. The kids explored all over, delighted in the sheep moving down the street, not to mention the beautiful pool, occupied daily, and colorful dragonflies in the lilypond. as for the adults, we have grown to love Italian coffee, and the surprise morning treats from Guiseppe. We explored nearby sights, beaches, towns, but are not finished by far. We will be back Thanks, as always for the memories, Guiseppe .

Sehr schöne Villa

Sehr schöne Villa mit tollem Pool und sehr guter Lage. Badestrände in 30 min zu erreichen. Pompeji in 45 min.

Wunderbarer Ort zum Erholen

Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen, 3 Kindern und einem kleinen Hund in diesem schönen alten Haus auf dem Land. Das große Haus (4 Ebenen) liegt traumhaft im Hinterland von Salerno. Im sauberen, großen Pool mit Sprungbrett konnten wir uns immer erfrischen, die Kinder haben stundenlang darin gespielt. Den großen Billiardtisch und die Tischtennisplatte haben wir auch oft verwendet. Guiseppe hat sich hat sich immer liebevoll um uns gekümmert. Wenn er z.B. am Morgen zum Poolreinigen kam, hat er uns frische Croisants mitgebracht. Zum Abschluss hat uns Guiseppe noch auf seinem schönen Segelboot zu einem kleinen Bootsausflug mitgenommen. Das Haus ist vollständig ausgestattet und wirklich sehr schön eingerichtet, so dass wir uns sofort wie zu Hause fühlten. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Selbst Holkohle Grillbesteck und Anzünder waren schon zum Grillen hergerichtet. Die vorhandenen Klimaanlagen hatten wir kaum gebraucht, da vor unserem Aufenthalt das Wetter noch regnerisch kühl war und das alte Haus mit seinen dicken Mauern die Kälte gespeichert hat. Wie überall in Italien auf dem Land gibt es in der Nachbarschaft viele Hunde, die auch nachts bellen, was uns aber nicht weiter gestört hat. Im Ort, in der Nähe, gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt, Metzgereien, eine Pasticeria und eine hervorragende Pizzaria, so dass man gut gut versorgt ist. Um das Haus einfach zu finden, hat uns Guiseppe die GPS Koordinaten von der Einfahrt geschickt. Damit war die Anreise völlig problemfrei. Hier nochmals vielen Dank an Guiseppe für diesen wirklich erholsamen Urlaub. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

This is a traditional Italian villa. Old in style with beautiful features and big. This was exactly what we were looking for as a family.Clean and tidy, all the rooms were a nice size with en-suite. The pool area was lovely a great area for the family to enjoy drinks and a swim. Giuseppe was an amazing host, nothing was to much trouble for him he catered for all our needs, even providing food for us as our arrival was very late. The surroundings were amazing with a large terrace to sit on in the morning and evening for food.All in all a very nice villa for the money. Thank you Giuseppe

Heerlijke plek om te vertoeven!

Het huis is prachtig, ingericht als een thuis met ruimte voor iedereen. Het zwembad is groot en er is genoeg ruimte om in de zon, maar ook in de schaduw te vertoeven. Drie slaapkamers hebben airco, maar de zolderverdieping niet. Hierdoor was het niet mogelijk om hier te slapen in de hitte. Dat was wel jammer. Giuseppe is een geweldige gastheer: hij is gastvrij en doet er alles aan om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Op berichten reageert hij altijd snel. De ligging van de villa is wel wat verder verwijderd van de toeristische trekpleisters. Voor tieners die ‘s avonds weleens zonder ouders op pad willen, is dat een nadeel. De afstand tot de mooie Amalfikust is evenwel prima te overbruggen met de auto. Alles bij elkaar hebben wij genoten van ons verblijf in Villa Rosa!
