Das Gebäude war Gegenstand einer letzten Restaurierung Bemühungen mit der Installation des Aufzugs für den einfachen Zugriff. Unsere Anlage ist der perfekte Ort, um ihre Ferien zu verbringen; Cava de 'Tirreni ist das Tor zur Amalfiküste. Es ist 45 km vom Flughafen Capodichino Salerno (8 km) entfernt. Es ist 22 km von Amalfi, 35 km von Positano, 28 km von Ravello, 50 km von Paestum. Das Meer ist mit 2,5 km in Vietri. Es hat eine strategische Position zwischen der Amalfi-Küste und den wichtigsten archäologischen Stätten und Landschaft Kampanien: Neapel, Capri, Pompeji, Paestum, Herculaneum, etc.. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung können Sie durch die Altstadt und vor allem in der "Borgo Scacciaventi" von Arkaden, die Orte, wo man typische Gerichte von Bell genießen oder einen Drink in den zahlreichen Bars und Kneipen sind willkommen gekennzeichnet schlendern.

Very Nice Place

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very spacious, clean, and equipped with anything we needed. It was close to shops, coffee bars, restaurants, and grocery stores. It was also a good location for sightseeing and activities in and around the Amalfi coast. The host, Riccardo, was excellent. We had a great time! The apartment is very spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The host welcomed us warmly and responded to our questions promptly. We immediately had a feeling of entering a historical palace. Checkin and checkout were easy. Great location: in the city centre, but also a short walk away from beautiful hiking trails.

Lovely apartment

Excellent location for us. We are regular European travelers who have been renting homes since 1999. Only a few hundred meters from the train station provides easy access from Napoli to Salerno. Very simple to day trip out to the Amalfi coast or go to the Salerno ferry to Capri. Riccardo was extremely helpful.

Great place to stay!!!

We stayed at Riccardo's place and it was nothing short of awesome! The location is close to the train station, shops, and center of town. The large 3 bedroom 3 bathroom apartment is spacious and immaculate. The views from the apartment are stunning! Beautiful apartment. Great location

Beautiful modern apartment. Lots of room for our family with three bedrooms and three baths. Elevator. Modern amenities. Nice town with lots of charm. Arcaded main street with lots of restaurants and bars. Very few tourists. Great for trips to Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Paestum. Riccardo was great host.

Great stay in Cava

My family and I stayed at the apartment for 4 nights. I wish we had more time. The apartment was perfect and clean and even better than the pictures. The town of Cava was a wonderful surprise. Much different that your typical tourist trap town. Strolling the streets during the evening, eating a great dinner, followed by a drink at one of the local bars was truly enjoyable. It was also a great place to use for day trips to Amalfi, Pompeii, and Sorrento.

Amalfi holiday

We had a wonderful stay at Cava. Riccardo was fantastic with any question or problem that we had. He was very prompt with his replies and came down to our unit to help on a number of occasions. The location was good for buses and trains. Bus stop was about 50m away and train station was about 400m from apartment. The unit was very spacious, clean and well equipped and was a nice place to return to after a day of sightseeing.

Thank Riccardo for all your help , we totally appreciate it all. As for the apartment it was everything I expected and viewed on line . It is spacious, clean and is in a great location. Many restaurants in walking distance, 3 grocery stories in walking distance and so is the metro!! If your looking for a place that is away from all tourist but easy to move about to Salerno , Amalfi and other great areas , this is the place !! Thank you again Riccardo.

Great location for visiting the Amalfi Coast

Riccardo was an excellent host and answered any questions we had very quickly! The property is clean and spacious and a great starting point for day trips out to the Amalfi Coast. There is a wonderful coffee shop right at the corner for coffees and breakfast pastries if you don't want to make your own. The washer/dryer is challenging for anyone not used to European styles but it was manageable. I'd say my only complaint was that the beds are extremely firm but then this is all personal preference because two of the 6 of us loved them! I'd definitely recommend this property!

Ideal loaction to explore Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast

This is a great location from where to explore the Amalfi Coast, away from the busy tourist areas. It is clean and well equiped. It is on the 2nd floor, but there is a lift available. There is a bus stop virtually outside the property and a train station only a few minutes walk. A supermaket is only a short walk away. It is easy to get to the beach by bus to Vietri or Salerno. Riccardo is so helpful, a dream owner; always a phone call away. He lives on the first floor, and nothing is too much trouble. Will recommend it to anyone who wishes to explore the region. Modern apartment near bus and train

The apartment was large, clean and very modern. Cava dei Tirreni was great location to visit the Amalfi coast and Pompeii. The train station is just down the street. We took the 15 minute train to Salerno then the ferry to Amalfi. We then took the bus back. On Saturday night the town was busy with lots of local people socializing and enjoying their children. No cars were allowed downtown which is an easy walk from the apartment. We found a great bakery which was open late into the evening. The host was available if needed.

Palazzo Donato, cava de tirreni

We had a great stay at this property. There were four of us and there was loads of room for us all, with plenty of room if any of us wanted some privacy. Great bathroom facilities (two bedrooms were en suite) and a lovely hot shower. Everything lovely and clean and well maintained and well equipped for self catering if we wanted. Lots of great restaurants within a short walking distance into the old town with the lovely porticos. Ricardo, the owner was wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. We need ed a few more towels, a larger kettle, a few sharp knives …. Ricardo brought these for us very quickly. We would definitely love to stay here again! The railway station is about 15 minutes walk away and only an hour on the train to Naples one way,and about 20 minutes the other way. Very secure parking facilities. About 45 minutes in the car from Naples airport. We highly recommend this property!

Stunning apartment in historic undiscovered town

Riccardo was a fantastic host and has a beautiful, comfortable apartment on the top floor of this palazzo with lift access. The three bedrooms have comfortable beds, the bathrooms are modern and the kitchen is very well equipped. The air conditioning kept us cool and we slept well as there was no noise from passing traffic. One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in having done numerous trips to Italy. The Corso (main street) is just footsteps away where there are lots of small shops, banks, cafes and bars under the beautiful historic arcades. There are two supermarkets (Carrefour Express, Conad) within walking distance and a choice of green grocers, delis and bakeries in the main street and in the side streets between the Corso and the apartment. Cava has lots of traditional events to delight you in the evenings, during our stay we witnessed the procession of the patron saint, firework displays, street illuminations and live music. We liked the traditional Italian atmosphere where we could relax away from the tourists on the Amalfi Coast. The apartment was a great base, we didn't have a car and travelled around using the buses and ferries. Three buses an hour run to Salerno and Vietri (change at Vietri for the shuttle bus to the beach at Marina di Marina, buses to Maori/Amalfi) from outside the apartment and there are buses to Pompei, Naples and a useful direct bus to Amalfi in the morning at 0950 from outside Cava railway station. Our UNICOcampania tickets which can be purchased from any tobacconist were well used! The boat ride from the quay at the marina on the promenade at Salerno to Amalfi and Positano is well worth taking for spectacular views of the coastline. Next time we hope to get to the monastery just outside the town at Badia (bus 61) and the Reggia at Caserta (direct trains from Salerno). There is a direct coach service from Salerno train station to Naples Airport, so you can reach the apartment quite easily and don't need to travel via Naples.

MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN

I've been using VBRO for over 20 years to travel all over the world. I am familiar with the reservation process, liaising with owners prior to arrival, and most importantly getting what you pay for. To anyone who is considering renting this property please be advised; the images are not an accurate representation of the apartment. It is not as bright as it appears, the sofa's were wrapped in raggedy blankets and the apartment looks like a run down version of what's posted. The posting says "RESTORATION" - the building is old and run down down, plain and simple. I entered a vestibule with graffiti and to my dismay ashtrays on hallway sills. Although, I was told smoking is only allowed in the hallways, it is inevitable that it permeates the apartments in the building and IT DID. The posting also did not state that this is a smoking building which clearly should be stated under property description. WHY is this such a problem? I paid to stay in a place that was unlivable for me as I am severely asthmatic. Had I Had this information, I would have booked elsewhere. I spent no more that 10 minutes in this dingy apartment before calling the owner to inform him that I would not be staying. I did not travel all the way from New York to spend a week in physical discomfort. I asked for a portion of the money back who wouldn't if you didn't even stay an hour???? When I expressed how I felt about the apartment the owner became belligerent, and began personally insulting me asking me what kind of Italian am I. If I could post a pic of the WhatsApp exchange, you will think twice before booking here. I contacted VRBO to resolve this but they were of no help. Also FYI - Sorrento was an hour way and $130 cab ride., where I ultimately booked a hotel. This place is not the gateway to the Amalfi coast by any means. I've been home for over a week and have debated on leaving this review as I do not wish to interfere with anyone's livelihood, however, this owner has a severe lack of integrity in not returning even a portion of the cost of the stay.. To add insult to injury I was offered tours at a discounted rate. So, my money just went down the drain and then he turned around and asked for more? I don't know what he's doing/offering to guests to get these glowing reviews but this place is far from glowing. BUYER BEWARE.

I am immensely appalled by what I read from this review, I do this job with love and passion for years and how they can abide the many other reviews on the site the apartment is exactly like in the picture. My experience with these guests was truly indescribable and confirms this mere attempt to denigrate my property and the beautiful city in which I live. There is not a single point in their review that reflects the truth and I can show it: inside the apartment smoking is strictly prohibited as indicated in all the rooms in the kitchen and living room, I often host families with children I could never allow smokers to transgress this rule, for them I have equipped an area outside the ' apartment with a bench and an ashtray near a window just to avoid problems, I do not smoke and I am extremely annoyed by the smell of smoke (which there has never been an excuse). To their request for reimbursement or peacefully made the cancellation policies that do not provide compensation on the day of check-in. These policies had been accepted by them at the time of the reservation which took place six months earlier. I received further damage from this booking as the Ladies requested a refund from the bank requesting a payment cancellation for this reservation. The distance from the Amalfi Coast is correctly described in the listing, public transportation is very close, the train station is 500mt. and that of buses at 20m. I think this is a strong point because you can easily visit all the beauties of the region in a very short time. I really do not know what I could do more than what I did to reassure the two ladies, I'm really sorry and I do not deserve to receive such hurdles. Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit privatem Parkplatz

Wir waren zu fünft in dieser sehr schönen Unterkunft. Alles hat reibungslos geklappt und der Vermieter war sehr gastfreundlich und hat bei allem unterstützt. Optimaler Ausgangspunkt für Amalfiküste, Pompeii und Neapel. 100% Weiterempfehlung

großzügige moderne Stadtwohnung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist sauber und jedes Schlafzimmer hat sein eigenes Bad, was uns wahnsinnig gut gefallen hat. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet und der große Kühlschrank mit Eiswürfelfunktion für die Kinder der Hit. Jedes Schlafzimmer und das Wohzimmer sind mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Riccardo ist ein sensibler und sehr hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er half uns ein Problem zu lösen und tauschte umgehend einen defekten Duschkopf. Es gibt die Möglichkeit für 15 € am Tag eine sichere Tiefgarage zu Mieten. Alles in Allem sehr zu empfehlen für Familien und Gruppen die mobil sind um ans Meer zu kommen. (ca. 20 - 30 Minuten). Die wunderschöne Altstadt liegt jedoch direkt vor der Tür.

Discovery of old italy

Wir waren nur ein paar Nächte, aber der Ort hat eine grosse gepflegte Altstadt in der auch einiges los ist, d.h. viele Restaurants und Bars zur Auswahl in nur 100m Entfernung von der Wohnung. Ausserdem gibt es einen gesicherten , grossen Parkplatz. Sehr praktisch in Italien wenn man mit grossem Auto unterwegs ist.. Der Verwalter ist sehr nett mit Tips und immer verfügbar für alle unsere Anliegen. TOP. Wohnung war geräumig und sehr sauber. Klimaanlage hat perfekt funktioniert.
