Unser geräumiges und beruhigendes Penthouse hat einen Blick über die Welt! Kommen Sie und genießen Sie unsere entspannende Wohnung mit 2 Veranden, um die gesamte Insel Okaloosa, Segelboote und Kite-Boarder kilometerweit zu sehen. This condo is large! Allowing for plenty of space for everyone. This is our first time to stay bayside and it did not disappoint. We loved having the penthouse with 2 outdoor deck spaces. The personal hot tub is a real plus. The view was spectacular; our kiddos rented jet skis next door and we could watch them and we saw fireworks one night too. The room was very clean and had everything we needed.

The views are absolutely gorgeous, and the condo itself was lovely: comfortable, well laid out, and a great place to come back to after a day out and/or to spend the whole day relaxing and playing between the resort and the beach.One thing worth knowing is that while the view is fantastic, you can’t see the pool area from the condo. The adults in our group loved watching the boats come and go, but the kids definitely missed some of the excitement of being able to look down and see what was happening at the pool.A few small improvements would make the stay even better. We really wished there were a grill, which would make easy dinners at the condo much more convenient. The sliding doors could also use some maintenance; they were surprisingly difficult to open and close.Overall, though, we had a lovely stay. The beautiful condo and those gorgeous water views were easily the highlights.

A couple of notes for future guests: as an end unit directly on the water, our patio faces the bay rather than the pool — we do include an aerial photo of the bayside pool area in our listing so you can see the pool layout ahead of time. We don’t provide a patio grill as past guests didn’t maintain them properly, creating more messes for our cleaners than we had time to address on busy turn days; therefore, we removed it. The sliding doors are large and can feel heavy to open — that’s typical for this style of door, but thanks for the heads up. Thanks again for staying with us — hope to host you again soon!

We had a scheduled roof restoration on the rooftop patio that required temporarily moving the hot tub while waterproof underlayment was applied. The rainy, humid weather that week slowed the drying process a bit, so the rooftop was unavailable for just one night of your week-long stay — and the hot tub was back up and ready the very next day! We're so glad you loved the condo and we hope the rooftop experience — now better than ever with the new waterproofing — was worth the wait. We'd love to have you back!

Condo was awesome, clean, and bigger than expected. Hot tub was clean as well. We initially did not receive our check-in information but we were able to get in touch with the property manager through VRBO support fairly quickly and they were happy to assist us with access to the property. Would re-book in the future.

Our stay was wonderful! Easy access to the pools and the lazy river was fantastic! The walk over to the beachfront was quick and easy but the advertised view of the ocean wasn’t as expected. We were excited about the rooftop deck but didn’t use it much due to the lack of privacy from the other 10-15 rooftop patios and looking at ac units instead of water views wasn’t our ideal view. That said, I felt like the “penthouse” was somewhat misleading since there wasn’t just one penthouse but al least 10-15 others that were closer to the ocean….but this location WAS ideal for those bayfront views which were unbeatable and breathtaking! The patio furnishings were also not my favorite compared to other penthouse patio furnishings we saw….these were low and hard to see over the deck rail and I think for the price of the stay and the outstanding views….higher bar / counter height furniture would have been nicer for morning coffee or evening wine with views. The front bedrooms were harder to sleep in due to the front doorway/hallway lighting (provided by the association I’m sure)….. but it was bright coming in all night as we often woke up feeling like it was daytime outside. Recommend some room darkening curtains for those rooms. Overall an amazing stay with comfortable accommodations, great communication and amazing bayside views.

Thank you for the kind review and for being such a great guest! So glad the pools, lazy river, and beach access were highlights. Quick note — our listing describes “gorgeous views of the bay,” not an ocean view, since we’re bayside — and it sounds like those views ended up being a favorite part of your stay! I am careful in our write up and all captions of photos to state what is the view from our condo and what isn’t. I am sorry you got confused on that part, but I am glad you enjoyed our views of the bayside. Also, “penthouse” just refers to a top-floor unit, which is true of ours (and several others in the building). All penthouses at Destin West bayside have roof top patios and a private hot tub. You can see all views of the beach, bay, Destin, FWB, as well as the other roof top patios on the roof as everyone’s retaining wall is the same height. We’ll also look into taller patio furniture and room-darkening curtains for the front bedrooms and take all guest suggestions into consideration. We do have heavy duty blinds on the windows. Destin West Great Location and access.

I love staying at Destin West. It is located on both the ocean and bay side with a walkway over the road. Easy access to the boardwalk and a boat rental next to it. They have several swimming pools and a Lazy River to float around on.

Family Favorite

we love this resort there is something for everyone from watching dolphins in the bay to kids using the lazy river.

We had an amazing stay in the Penthouse! The views of the bay were beautiful. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee and our nightly hot tub hangs on the rooftop. The condo was clean, spacious, and probably the most well stocked condo we’ve ever stayed in. Just a short 10ish min walk to the beach side with the beautiful white sand and clear waters. We would definitely return in the future!

Home away from home!

Penthouse was roomy enough for all of us to relax and feel like we were on vacation. Close enough to anything we could want to eat or do. We had a great stay & would book this again.
