Great resort

Good location and plenty of space. Has everything thing you need to enjoy a long stay. Dish washer works but use being updated. I'd return for sure. Love kaanapali al'i.

Great Location

Great location in Kaanapali. The unit was great to stay in. There are small details that prevent a 5 stars review. Loved the good size washer and dryer and all the included amenities in the unit and in the property (great fitness center). Would rent this unit again.

All great. You might want to housekeeping there are a pair of shorts and beer can in plant area on balcony.. they missed it prior to our stay. And we left a cooler for future guests

Excellent property

Only issue was the washer and dryer were having issues and actually damaged some of our clothes. Fortunately they must have already know about the issue and were in the process of replacing it.

The master bedroom smelled really bad, like strong mildew smell. They had a lady come look at it and said she’d send an engineer to look at cooling system but no one ever came to check anything. The smell was so bad we slept on the couch a few nights. Would not recommend this unit to anyone.

Good Location

The locations of the property was great. However, the check in process was a nightmare. No one knew anything about our reservation at the front desk and we were the second party that day that had that trouble. We also had trouble with the refrigerator not producing ice or water and the shower not giving us hot water. The main desk couldn't help us with this since it was rented through Maui Resort Rentals (VRBO). We were able to get prompt service from Maui Resort Rentals to resolve the problems. We cooked some of our meals in the unit but were grossed out when we found cockroaches in the dishwasher. We reported it to both Maui Resort Rentals and the front desk at the Alii. We'll definitely not rent this unit again.

Great Location

The property was great and the on-site staff helpful. Beds comfortable, rooms clean. They offered a courtesy check out at 12:00PM instead of 10:00AM. The condo had a great beach area. It was also on the boardwalk with shopping and many restaurants you could check out. They get pretty busy for dinner, so be sure you have reservations. Since everything was so close and we had a car, we ventured out and ate at all the fun local restaurants , Front St, Kehei, Kapalua . If you golf, Ka'anapali Royal and Kai just across the street and staff very nice. (Enjoyed Kai course more than Royal)The only thing we would want to let other travelers know about are the crazy birds in the trees right outside our condo, near the path to the pool. They were very noisy, I mean crazy loud, just something to get used to.

Location was perfect, condo was extremely disappointing related to roaches.

Condo would have been perfect if not for the hundreds and I do mean hundreds of roaches. They were all over the cabinet, in every drawer including clothes drawer. There was no way we could have ever cooked in the condo. Everything we bought had to go in microwave for storage. Clothes had to be rewashed and hung in closet, suitcases had to stay filled after rewashing clothes and zipped. I did report and they came to put out roach boxes, it truly did nothing to help the issue. We have been to Maui many times and know to expect bugs but never in my life would I have been prepared for what we saw. Bathroom was dirty, they did offer to come clean, told them no, as I had to do that upon entering the condo. Did not want to complain because we did get a very small refund but if I’m reading reviews about where to stay I want to know the truth. Would have liked to have been offered another property but we did not ask for that. Hindsight I definitely would have asked for a different property and if not getting that a much larger refund.

Beautiful and perfect place to stay

This property is just right! Absolutely beautiful and perfectly located. Can’t wait to rebook and stay again. It’s spacious, and close to everything! Well appointed and easy. The air conditioning had one hiccup but that was it. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Not as described and broken appliances

The “ocean view” is after you look past the rooftop of the place next door. “Mountain View” is the parking lot and rooftop tennis court. The floors were dirty and scratched. There were roaches everywhere; the fridge, under the sink, the dishwasher, the bathrooms, the closets. We finally went and bought roach killer. The washing machine and dryer are BOTH broken. When looking how to complain about this we saw recent reviews stating this has been an issue since February. I can understand things taking a while on island but there is a Lowe’s and Home Depot on island. Not having a working washer and dryer was unacceptable. We complained to Maui Resort Rentals who stated they are not the owners and we would have to contact the owner. Guess who is listed as the VRBO owner...Maui Resort Rentals. The front desk also told us MRR is the owner. DO NOT RENT! Pick a different unit. The property grounds, amenities, beach and location were phenomenal!!

Aloha Erica and mahalo for your comments. We are very sorry that the washer and dryer were not working during your visit. In 2021 many appliances have been out of stock and it has been taking longer than usual to get items delivered, but we are happy to confirm that a brand new washer/dryer were installed in suite 272 in early June 2021. We can also confirm that we have had our operations team do a thorough pest control treatment. Again we sincerely apologize for your disappointment. Great location and property!

This was a great unit and property. We had a terrific time for an extended spring break and my son’s 15th birthday. There were a few issues with the unit—broken washer; apparently it’s been broke for awhile—but these things happen and I have to say the property manager was fantastic. They took our laundry and had it professionally cleaned and folded and returned to us. They also got out here immediately when we broke a glass and my son cut his foot. Would definitely stay at one of their properties again!

Great location and nice property!

Great location on the beach, nice pool, friendly property staff. Unit was a good size for our needs, kitchen was pretty well equipped and appliances seemed new. The carpet had some stains and we wished the building offered recycling. Overall, comfortable and quiet place to stay!

Great stay

The Alii is the nicest, best located property on Kaanapali Beach. We've stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. This was a very nice, well appointed unit with a pretty good view of the ocean. There was a comprehensive set of dishes and cookware, which we made good use of. One minor drawback is that the unit is located on a corner of the building near a service entrance which made for occasional loud noises in the early morning, though this was mitigated a bit as the unit is seven floors up.

Great property at a good price. Our only complaint was the fridge door didn't shut all the way without some serious attention, sometimes allowing contents to get warm. Overall really enjoyed our stay.
