A wonderful stay in a modern historical apartment

We stayed with 3 Persons in the flat and it was great. The communication with the owner was always friendly. The flat is in the middle of the historical part of the city. Round the corner are great restaurants and nice typical Italian shops. We enjoyed our stay and I can only recommend this wonderful apartment.

Worth a trip!

I spent - together with my boyfriend - one weekend at the beautiful apartment "La Scala". We were impressed in many regards. First of all, we felt comfortable as we got to our flat. The whole establishment is nicely and clean done up. Even the spirit of living in the beautiful Toscana is reflected in this apartment. Just made with love! And of course we were under the spell of San Quirico d'Orica. Our flat was very close to the center of this place. Easily, we could get to every beautiful spot - luckely we had our very kind renter Carola, who gave us many insider tipps! Thats why, we could spend a lovely evening at the "Caffé Italiano" which belongs to Carolas husband, named Angelo. Its definitely a place to go if you want to relax while drinking a good wine and experiencing the specialities of Toscana. As a briefly result, we would say: If you are interested in visiting and/or discovering the heart of Toscana, go to San Quirico and spent a weekend at "La Scala"! One last thing is to say: Thank you Carola, for this awesome weekend at your apartment! We will come back, that's for sure! :)

Traumhaft

Anfang Mai ĂŒbernachteten wir fĂŒr 2 NĂ€chte in dieser liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung. Mit dem Betreten der Wohnung fĂŒhlten wir uns direkt wohl. Die Einrichtung inkl. Bad ist neu und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist traumhaft, man befindet sich in Mitten eines kleines Örtchen in der Toskana. Von hier ist es ein leichtes, weite Teile der Toskana zu besichtigen. Ein weiteres Plus war die Kommunikation mit der EigentĂŒmerin Carola, die noch den ein oder anderen tollen Tipp fĂŒr dieses schöne Wochenende parat hatte. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und kommen gewiss wieder.

This place is absolutely wonderful! Carola's communication and the time she took to make sure we had our wine tasting, our olive oil tasting and just having an overall understanding of the area and what we should see was amazing. Tout était parfait : l accueil particuliÚrement sympathique de Carola qui a un sens inoui de l'hospitalité, son joli appartement parfaitement placé au centre de l'adorable petite ville de San Quirico, et la région sublime qu'on ne quitte qu'à regret aprÚs en avoir exploré, ravis, les innombrables merveilles...sans oublier le plaisir de se baigner en pleine nature dans les sources d'eau chaude! Fabulous home base in San Quirico (Val d’Orcia)

This is a great property in San Quirico, a small town that is perfectly situated for exploring all of the beautiful sights in this area. The apartment was perfect, with all of the amenities we could want. Carola was an amazing host and gave us a detailed guide with her recommendations for day trips and other fun things to do in the area. Highly recommend!

A lovely historic apartment in San Quirico

My wife and I had a lovely 6-day stay in this apartment in the heart of the lovely village of San Quirico d'Orcia. The apartment was comfortable and in a great location. Carola was a wonderful host, providing lots of helpful information before our stay, greeting us and showing us around when we arrived, and providing rapid and complete help during our stay. We could not ask for more. We would happily stay again.

450 years of hospitality

Carola could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The apartment was apparently granted the papal equivalent of a 5 star review back in 1572 and the ethos has stayed. The apartment is lovely, well equipped and perfectly located in one of the most picturesque towns in one of the most picturesque parts of Tuscany. Everywhere you turn there is another picture postcard view. Definitely worth a visit.

Pretty apartment in beautiful setting

Carola’s renovated apartment in the centre of San Quirico is a great base to explore the town and surrounding area. We arrived during a heat wave and Carola proactively supplied an extra fan to supplement the 2 already there. She also provided a helpful tip about a nearby swimming pool where we spent a fun and relaxing afternoon escaping the heat. Parking lot is about 150 meters behind and below the apartment building. Unload and load luggage directly in front of apartment building.

We knew we were going to love this place when booked and it did not disappoint. Communication with Carola was so easy & she was super responsive and goes above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable, safe and secure. Her husband Angelo owns an excellent neighborhood bar, all of her restaurant recommendations were awesome, her knowledge of the area was extremely helpful and we can’t recommend the place and this host more than to say
Book IT! The apartment is in the middle of the most photographed and beautiful area of Toscana. Rent a car and cruise around this area and enjoy the Italian hospitality and countryside. Food and wine and scenery heaven!

Fantastic stay

Historic, clean and beautiful yet practical apartment. Carola herself went above and beyond to help us get settled; we thank her so much!! Gave us instructions for the apt/area, made our dinner reservation the night we arrived. She booked a cooking class for our family in the nearby countryside at the Valdorcia Belvedere B&B (no commission to her). The cooking class and stay at the apt were delightful highlights of our whole trip. Grazie!

Highlight of Tuscany - Just like the pictures

Staying in Tuscany and at this VRBO in San Quirico d'Orcia was the highlight of our three week trip to Italy. The description and pictures of the property were 100% accurate. Very comfortable and well accommodated. Carola, our host, is one of the best VRBO hosts we have encountered in all our travels. I can't say enough nice things about Carola or her property. Parking is a challenge when traveling and always a concern when staying at a 16th century apartment inside an ancient walled city - but not in this case. Parking was close and convenient. We used the San Quirico d'Orcia property as a base for our time in Tuscany. Every direction we travelled was breath taking. Carola helped us with many recommendations (wine tasting, cooking classes, site seeing) and in every case, all proved to be highlights of our trip. Next time we are in Tuscany we will plan our trip to ensure we are able to stay here again.

Wir möchten im Weltnaturerde Orciatal eine StĂ€tte zum Relaxen und zur Begegnung mit der Natur schaffen. Unsere Wohnung bot schon im 16. Jahrhundert Pilgereisenden Unterkunft - das antike Wappen von 1572 in der KĂŒche zeugt heute noch davon.

Die Wohnung wurde 2014 mit Handwerkern aus dem Orciatal komplet renoviert , um den ursprĂŒnglichen Geist aus dem 16. Jahrhundert zu erhalten, und Reisenden den maximalen Komfort und Relax vom modernen Leben zu geben.
