Diese geräumige Hütte liegt auf einem Hügel am ruhigen Ufer des Frio River in Leakey, Texas, und bietet privaten Zugang zum Fluss. Sie bietet Platz für 6-8 Erwachsene und verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigen.

Kommen Sie und entspannen Sie sich in der ruhigen Schlucht unter der Milchstraße, wie Sie sie noch nie gesehen haben, und braten Sie Marshmallows auf der Feuerstelle. Wenn Sie mehr Action suchen, gehen Sie im Sommer zum nächtlichen Tanz unter dem Sternenhimmel in den Garner State Park.

Der Fluss ist perfekt für Kinder, nicht zu tief, aber mehrere Schwimmlöcher. Parken Sie Ihre Stühle im Fluss und entspannen Sie sich bei einem kühlen Getränk, während die Kinder wild und frei herumtollen! Ruhig - keine durchgehenden Knollen - ein privater Flussabschnitt, den nur die umliegenden Grundbesitzer genießen.

Ideal für Vogelbeobachter im Frühling, für diejenigen, die Sommerspaß im Fluss suchen, für Laubbeobachter im Herbst und für Schneevögel im Winter.

*** Basierend auf einer aktuellen 1-Stern-Bewertung möchte ich etwas klarstellen: Ich liste Kajakfahren und Schläuche als LOKALE ATTRAKTIONEN in meiner Liste auf. Auch als lokale Attraktionen aufgeführt: Shopping und Antiquitäten. Ich liste sie NICHT als Annehmlichkeiten für die Kabine auf. Im Leakey-Gebiet kann man durchaus mit der U-Bahn oder mit dem Kajak fahren (ebenso wie im Laden und im Antiquitätengeschäft), aber die Flussfront der Hütte ist nicht geeignet, da die Tiefe nach oben und nach unten stark variiert. Ich möchte auch klarstellen, dass ich weder die Tiefe noch die Strömung des Flusses kontrolliere! Das liegt an Mutter Natur. Ich werde immer Informationen über den Zustand des Flusses erhalten, wenn ich von einem Gast gefragt werde. Ich habe und werde niemanden irreführen, der nach einer Buchung meiner Kabine fragt. ***

Quiet Getaway

Nice quiet getaway in Leakey. Nicely located to the Frío river and other activities. The view is great. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is stocked. There is a swim hole near by. Our family had a nice time. We tubed down the frío, went to Joe Jimmy's dancing and went into town for some items and coffee at Josh's.

Dark Skies & Private Frio River Access. Dogs Welcome! Book Now for Fall Foliage!

Everything was great! Quiet peaceful place with private access to the river to relax for a few days and close to other activities we wanted to try. Just what we were looking for.

Wonderful stay!

Great location, amazing views, and perfect river access for little ones. The house had everything we needed for us to enjoy our stay. The private river access was clean and clear, our kids had a blast and it was perfect for us adults to sit and relax. Looking forward to returning next year!

Peaceful and secluded

Nice cabin in excellent shape. The deck has an amazing view and you have private access to the river. A grill and coals are provided. I would return.

The location is absolutely beautiful stunning and relaxing. The house was fully stocked for preparing meals. The drive is peaceful and beautiful to town. Only con is since it’s a pet friendly place there was tons of dog hair on surfaces, pillows, beds, towels, I swept several times and was still pulling dog hair off me and out of my mouth. The host was very responsive and communicated very well

Great house

My family of 5 stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. The house was perfect for us. We had access to the river which we used multiple times a day. The surroundings were quiet and allowed for us to unplug and do things together. Great area to walk or hike.

Beautiful hill country home

We had a great time at this property. The view is amazing and the location is very peaceful. Very close to the Frio river access and we had the river all to ourselves. The property was also very well equipped in the kitchen and the charcoal grill and fire pit were great. WiFi was great too.

The place was nicely located in Leakey area with a great view of the river valley. Only complaint was sink light in kitchen was burned out and made it a bit dark on the countertop.

Great Getaway

Our family went for New Years and it was perfect. We enjoyed being away from the city and loved the quiet. We enjoyed walking to the river, skipping rocks, sitting on the porch and building a fire. I don't think I appreciated the remoteness of the house, it was a pleasant surprise.

Off the beaten path

Property, as described and the view is amazing! I wish I'd packed hiking shoes to explore the property more! Love the proximity to GSP but not the crowds you'll find in Concan. The moon was nearly full but I can imagine the sky is dreamy on a dark sky night! House is clean and roomy. Kitchen is well equipped. I would suggest a smart tv for guests to be able to cast to. Other than that, no concerns. We'll be back!

Beautiful views, clean cabin and wonderfully dog friendly with short drives to float.

This property was fabulous, clean, spacious and very accommodating. There were beautiful views. The owner had excellent communication skills. She responded almost immediately, if you had a question. We absolutely loved that we could bring our two dogs with us. There was a perfect little lagoon to take them to. We set up our shade tent and just let them lay in the water next to us, when they didn’t want to play frisbee or ball. We also thought it was fabulous there were dog toys present. Our younger dog found a toy to play with. We also thought it only appropriate to add another toy to the collection.

Amazing Views

We absolutely loved our stay. Christy was very responsive and helpful! We drove down to the river multiple times and stayed there all day. It was a perfect spot for the kids to play. There were a couple of holes about waist deep, but the rest of the water was perfect depth for sitting in lawn chairs and relaxing. The patio at the house was my favorite place to be at night. The stars were amazing! Definitely recommend!

Everything Great!

House was very clean and extremely well supplied. We had a 96 year old with us and she loved it all. The view was very nice from the large deck. We roasted marsh mellows each night and enjoyed the various wildlife. This was much further up river than we normally stay. Being in the thick of the hills was very pleasing. The river is mostly shallow this far up which would be great for small children. Look forward to returning!

Frio Trip

Beautiful view off the patio, the river access was a little farther away then initial impression on the description. Host communicated well throughout visit. Very dog friendly but small area for dogs to safely wander in the yard, the patio gets very hot (burns) in the sun. Fully furnished and kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, ect. A/C struggled a bit in the heat of the day but was immediately addressed by host.

Peaceful paradise

Cozy cabin with panoramic views. Very private and quiet location. Spent many hours on the porch relaxing in comfortable chairs with ottomons. We are a couple from Houston trying to detox from the big city. We watched the sunrise and sunset every day. If you are a birdwatcher, this place is for you. Humimngbirds came everyday and at 7:22 p.m. like clock work, these crazy birds came and flew in circles in front of us and went to bed in their mud nests. What a show! This cabin is extremely clean! Kudos to the maid service. You couldn't tell that dogs are allowed in the cabin at all.

Relax and enjoy

Property was exactly as advertised. We spent a lot of time just sitting out on the great deck watching the morning begin, the deer graze below and gazing at the stars at night. The property is comfortable. There are ceiling fans in every room, plenty of seating and the kitchen is well stocked. The days were unseasonably warm but the was no issue with the A/C keeping the rooms cool and comfortable. The location is good for hiking in Garner SP, Lost Maples and is not bad for South Llano River or Hill Country Natural Area. We also followed instructions to the river access from the cabin to soak our feet and enjoy the beauty! Our group was all adults including my parents who are in their late 80’s. The is one small step onto the deck and they had no trouble with access and mobility.

Frio River Getaway

Not a bad property, but the listing gave the impression you could at least see the Frio River from the new deck. You can not. Very quiet neighborhood with nice views of hills. Would be better if tree and bushes off front deck was trimmed to allow for a fuller view of the hill across the river. Cozy and comfortable with no insects. Master bath and kitchen has water damaged ceiling in need of painting. Perhaps I am more critical than others, but I also have a house I rent fifty weeks a year in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. The work and expense needed to bring this property up to the next level is minimal. If they rent it for the price we paid, I should think they would invest the time and money.

Host will Ghost

This host will GHOST.We arrived Dec 24 and were greeted w a bad odor. Texted Christy and she said she didn’t know what could cause that and said to open the doors and windows—we opened the windows, but they don’t have any screens on any windows so in about 30 minutes we had huge horseflies, knats and moths inside. Don’t open the windows.Took a shower that night in primary bedroom—water pressure was nonexistent. Had to move to other shower that was being used by my girlfriend. Her shower was extremely hard to adjust the hot/cold water and almost scalded both of us. The hot water handle is stripped and the handle just spins around. I’m surprised w all the good reviews, no one has complained about this and that no children have gotten hurt by the extremely hot water that will come out if you move the cold water handle just a millimeter. I texted Christy again and told her that if she couldn’t get the pressure fixed we might consider going to a friends and would like a full refund—she said that would be ok if we left and would give refund. We then discussed the hassle of packing everything up and decided to stay. I then asked Christy if she could refund 1 night out of the 4 nights we were staying there---never heard back after 2 texts.Also, this listing claims to be “on” the Frio. On the Frio means to me, that you can see or hear the water. Not the case, it’s a long walk down a hill and cross the road and then to the public entry they have. I wouldn’t want to lug a lot of

I've owned this cabin in Leakey, Texas since 2006. My family lived in the cabin for several years, but we now live in Boerne. We love the Leakey area so much, and hope you enjoy our little slice of the Frio Canyon.

This property is perfect for families with younger children. This is the 'quiet' part of the river. Unlike closer to ConCan, you won't see or hear high school and college kids partying. You'll only hear the quiet sounds of the river flowing, and maybe a coyote or two yipping at night.

Parts of Real County have been designated Dark Skies areas, and we strive to make sure you can enjoy the truly remarkable views of the Milky Way at the Frio River Cabin. This his house has an amazing front porch and brand new composite deck. The deck adds over 360 square feet of outdoor living space. There's also a new fire pit and plenty of room for everyone to find their own quiet space, inside or out.
