Schönes Haus am Strand

We found this special place in 2001 and built Tres Pochotes three years later. Avid surfers and beach celebrants, we return to paradise from our home in Colorado as often as we can. At low tide, be sure to visit La Sirena, a majestic bronze sentinel just down the beach, jutting out of the Pacific and facing the exquisite horizon. We are excited for La sirena to be returned to her rightful spot after damaged by surf with subsequent repairs. Stay tuned!

There are very few properties available that sit on a worldclass surfbreak such as Esterillos Oeste. The opportunity to watch the waves from the house and paddle out when the tide fills in, or when the wind backs off, is hard to beat. While other stellar breaks such as Boca Barranca, Hermosa and Bejuco are easy drives from the house, the ability to walk right out of your door into the lineup is priceless.

For non surfers, the birdwatching is spectacular from the decks and patio. The daily evening roosting of parrots in the trees on the property is always a special event. Chilling out in a hammock with a good book and long walks on vast stretches of beach at low tide are other simple activities that bring in the local vibe which is tranquilo.
