Affordable small home close to Disney

The house was very clean and tidy. You can tell it is an older home, but seems well maintained. The faucet was getting old and difficult to turn off so it didn’t leak, bust aside from that it was a quant and cozy home.

Disneyland trip

The condo is good for a short trip, and is walkable to Disneyland - 10 minutes for us. Only drawback was the condo & parking were not near each other (condo is a center building behind a wall) so you are carrying luggage/groceries in.

This is a perfect location for all things Disneyland! It is dated on the outside and needs to be taken care of. When you pull up you question if it is going to be interesting stay. Yet the inside was clean and well thought out. The ease to get on the tram to all things Disney couldn’t have been easier. It’s almost like staying on property. The communication with the apartment was responsive and very accommodating.

Exactly as expected

This is a clean, comfortable properly that is about six blocks form downtown Disney. The property was very quiet and close to grocery stores. This was my second stay there I highly recommend it to our friends looking to go to Disney.

Furniture & appliances need updated!

The outside of the complex is in dire need of updating. Inside the home, the couch is so broke down it slopes to the middle, same when you pull out the bed inside of it. The coffee pot lid is broke and takes a solid half hour to brew. The dryer takes 2 full cycles to dry, every step you make upstairs is amplified 100 times over downstairs. The location to Disney was convenient, but the house needs a major overhaul.

Nice location near disneyland

House was as shown in the pictures. Plenty of space for the 6 of us(4 adults and two kids) Couple quick notes: - Garage is manual - it is a pretty long walk for kids. Our 8 year old would get tired and 5 year old needed to use a stroller. Nothing wrong with the property but worth considering for smaller kids

Great place, but three caveats

This is an excellent place to stay with easy access to the theme parks, disneyland hotel, and downtown disney. The property owners were very communicative. My three caveats are the following: 1) pay attention to the directions they give you on the location of the garage, extra parking spot, and condo. None were near each other, which made check-in difficult in the dark. 2) comfortable seating in the living room was insufficient, especially for 4 adults. 3) The top bunk in 2nd bedroom was wobbly, and my grandson wouldn't sleep up there for safety reasons. Maybe other kids would think it's fine.

Short walk to Disneyland, Great for Kids!

This place was perfect for our daughter's first visit to Disneyland! Location is literally across the street from the park, a short 5-10 minute walk to Downtown Disney. Modern appliances in a well-appointed kitchen. For parents of small children, plenty of toys, strollers to borrow, freezer bags/ice packs, etc. Two parking spots, quiet neighborhood, close to 24-hour stores like Walmart in case you need last-minute items. We arrived late at night so Cathryne was proactively texting to make sure we could find the unit in the dark. Thanks Cathryne for your hospitality, we will be back!

Great condo next to Disneyland

This is a great condo across the street from the Disney property. You are literally just minutes away from Disney tram, downtown Disney, and a few extra minutes to the park. The owner was very helpful and considerate. The place was spotless and perfect for our family. There were toys for the small kids, and the master bedroom is very nice with a super comfortable bed which is great after walking around Disney all day. The complex has a nice pool, but the water was a little cold - not surprising since we were there in Feb. The appliances are new including a nice grill on the patio. Overall, this place is great, and we are already planning on returning when possible!!!

Great stay

Great location and stay. The couch really sinks in and is a bit uncomfortable and there was a metal piece that sticks out on coffee table that is a bit of a hazard. We turned it around to not stab in the leg when walking by. I also recommend putting a secondary lock. Having a deadbolt lock would have made me feel much more comfortable and secure. If I would been staying alone without my husband I would have actually been quite uncomfortable with the only lock being the keypad lock. These were minor and we did enjoy our stay.

Fun break away from home!

Cathryne seriously had everything we needed. My kids loved all the toys in their "Mickey" room as well as in the hallway closet. Cathryne let us know that the dishwasher was broken and that she'd come by and DO THE DISHES, which I think was insanely above and beyond nice of her to do. She had so many fun plates/cups that made every meal fun for the kids. Finally, she was extremely responsive; I am on Central Time and sometimes I'd text her at 6am, PT and she'd respond right away. Such a pleasant experience, and so easy to get to Disney from the place. Thanks for such a great stay!!

A great place if youre going to disneyland!

I will start off by saying this propertys location is amazing and the unit itself is comfortable with everything we needed and more. There were strollers, beach supplies, lunchboxes and on and on. It is about a 15 minute walk from here to the park entrances going through downtown disney. The security lines on that side of the park are quick and if youre willing to go 2 blocks from this unit you could theoretically save a little walking by hopping on the tram at the mickey and friends parking garage by using the pedestrian overpass. We did run into an issue with the washer having a broken pump but it was addressed promptly and the management took care of it all. The parking garage is a bit tight but my Range Rover fit inside just barely haha. Will definitely rent this unit on future trips!

Short Walk to Disney Property

The short walk to Disney property was great. The condo was clean, beds were very comfortable and hot water was in abundance. We used the white toddler bed (the red one looked to be held together with ducktape) which was convenient. Our complaints are that there needs to be more bath towels. We were at the parks all day and didn't want to have to wait for a load of towels to be completed. Some sort of dresser would have been nice in the second bedroom so we didn't have to live out of the suitcase. We ended up buying an anti-slip rubber tub mat for the bathroom due to my father slipping in the shower as soon as it got wet. It was very slick and dangerous. Lastly, the couch/chairs in the living room are NOT comfortable in any way, shape or form. If you plan on spending any time at the condo and lounging around, just be warned, the couch and chairs are not comfortable.

Expectations Blown Away!

Certainly didn't know what to expect after booking online, however, wonderful is the adjective that describes our experience. Extremely clean and well taken care of. Feels like a very modern home but with wonderful, thoughtful touches throughout which calms and relaxes. It even has a Keurig Brewer with lots of k-cups stocked from coffee to tea to hot chocolate for the kids. The playground and swimming pool with hot tub were big hits with the kids as well. Disneyland during the day had us hot, sweaty and coated in a film of sunscreen, but as the sun set we made a 10 MINUTE WALK, back to the house where we were able to get a little snack, shower and change into some warmer evening clothes and back out the door back to Disneyland for the night activities. THAT MY FRIENDS IS PRICELESS. Cathryne was beyond an excellent host. Called us several times just to make sure we had everything we need.

Hard to find and long way from park

Overall, the property was, just ok. It was a long way from the parking spot and very difficult to find at night. We frequent Disneyland and this was our first venture outside of hotels to a rental home. We really wanted to love this place, but overall it just fell short. Heater was very noisy, as was washer and dryer. The drive to the parking garages was short, but we wouldn't want to walk from the property to the parks. The upstairs TV/remote didn't work, there was not very much light upstairs and the switch in master bedroom was not connected to anything. The bed was comfy but extremely squeaky and loud. The bunk beds seemed like a good idea, but upon further inspection seemed like there wasn't enough room for them. There was no bath mat in the shower and it was very slippery for our daughter (6).

Review of Maleficent Villa - Close to Disneyland Our stay at Maleficent Villa was a bit of a mixed bag. While the location was unbeatable, with easy access to Downtown Disney, we encountered a few frustrating issues that detracted from the experience. Location: The villa’s proximity to Disneyland and Downtown Disney was definitely the highlight of our stay. We loved how we could easily walk to all the attractions, which made getting to the parks and dining options a breeze. If you're visiting Disneyland, the location alone makes this place worth considering. Finding the Villa: However, finding the villa itself was a challenge. The estate is a bit of a maze, and we spent quite a bit of time wandering around looking for it. The garage was just as difficult to locate. We ended up driving around and pressing the car’s remote until we finally spotted the open garage door. It was an unnecessarily frustrating start to our stay. Size & Condition: While the villa was clean and tidy, it was much smaller than the photos suggested. If we had been a larger group, I think we would have felt quite cramped. We were a group of three, and it was comfortable enough for us, but I wouldn’t recommend it for groups larger than that. The air conditioner worked perfectly, which was a relief during the hotter days. The laundry facilities were well-stocked with essentials, which was nice. Perfect Place to call home for any Disneyland Vacation!

The Guest Nest was everything we could ask for and more. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are doing a Disneyland vacation with small children (we had a 3 year old, 5 year old and a 7 year old). The Guest Nest was absolutely perfect in terms of location and convenience. We were able to walk to Disneyland each morning (sometimes we walked to the tram, sometimes we skipped the tram and just walked to Downtown Disney). Then head back to the Guest Nest in the afternoon for lunch/snacks and a much needed nap for the kids. Then walk back to Disneyland refreshed and ready to go for the remainder of the day/evening to enjoy the rides, parade and fireworks. We were even able to take in the fireworks on the sidewalk near the main gate on Walnut Street on the first night we got there. The pool and hot tub were great. The kids loved all of the stuffed animals, as well as the Disney themed pictures and wall hangings; and they couldn’t get enough of the Mickey Room. This place has all of the amenities and conveniences of being at home. I could go on and on about how wonderful and convenient this place is – but the biggest endorsement I could give to the Guest Nest is I will recommend booking this place to all of my friends and relatives that plan on going to Disneyland. And next time we go…if it is available, we will be staying at the Guest Nest again! The owner was so nice as well - always asking us to see if we needed anything else!

Perfect location and price!

When I started researching a place to stay, I was blown away by the cost of the Disney resorts. This condo was a WAY better price and only an additional two-ish blocks from the Disney resorts, making it perfect for our family. We all had our own bedrooms, could save some money by cooking breakfast in the kitchen each morning (we also packed sandwiches to take to the park each day), and could easily walk to Downtown Disney within 15 minutes. Once you are at Downtown Disney, it's maybe a 5-ish minute walk to the entrances for Disneyland and Downtown Disney. I will say the condo is very minimal on decorations and kitchen supplies, but you spend your whole day at Disney so not much is really needed, besides the basics. Two strollers are provided, for use during your stay, but they aren't in the best condition (although you could make do with them). My family and I decided to get a $30 umbrella stroller from Walmart instead, to use. The condo was very clean (floors, bathrooms, bedding, etc.), the only "dirty" items we saw were that some of the dishes weren't well cleaned. The walking directions the VRBO rental company gives are NOT accurate, so do not follow those. Maybe there has been construction since they typed them up? Map your own walking route to Downtown Disney. Once you are at the entrance of Downtown Disney, you can go anywhere VERY easily. If you are wanting to meet princesses during your trip, don't count on meeting them all at the parks. While we were at the parks, we only saw three, and the lines were outrageous. Book the "Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures" located in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We met Jasmine, Aurora, Belle, Rapunzel, Mulan, Ariel, Tiana, and Pocahontas.
