The house is was perfect for our stay, close enough to Charlottesville but country vibes. Our little ones enjoyed playing outdoors and we all loved the scenery! Comfortable beds and lots of bathrooms!

Vacation stay

We stayed here on the last leg of our vacation and we loved it. The house was very peaceful and welcoming and we loved our visit with Ollie. If we are back in the area, we would definitely stay here again!

This property is beautiful! The setting couldn’t be more perfect: up a lane overlooking fields and GORGEOUSLY landscaped. I was in town for a wedding and didn’t get to spend as much time there as I would have liked. It was very comfortable, nicely decorated and well-stocked. When I contacted the host with a question, she immediately responded. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Farm Retreat

We rented the guest house for a long weekend exploring the National Park and surrounding areas. The farm was bucolic, and the views from this home are gorgeous. The host communicated nicely throughout our stay. Great stay!!!

Wonderful mountain views at and comfortable home

We enjoyed a family gathering for 2 nights. Everyone enjoyed the front porch, large dining table, cozy beds, and the walk down the long driveway with beautiful mountain views. We hope to be able to stay again!

Great stay

Enjoyed our stay at the farm. House was well equipped, clean & very comfortable. We were a party of 3 couples & each bedroom with en suite bathrooms was perfect! Thinking of coming back next year & will return here!

Perfect home base for exploring Shenandoah National Park

Really enjoyed staying here with friends to hike in Shenandoah and hunker down for NFL playoffs at night. This farm house has character, comfort, amenities, and is located in a beautiful environment. I look forward to coming back.

This is a very pretty old house situate in a beautiful valley near the mountains. Rooms are cozy and pleasant. Views from the dining room and front porch are lovely. One technical aspect (outdoor lighting beside bedroom window stayed on all night) was a small bother, and the host indicated they would not be addressing this issue. Otherwise, this was a nice house and a good place for a family or group of friends to have a relaxing mountain get-together.

We were in for a friend's wedding and this place was a perfect place to stay. The property is beautiful and just a short drive to Shenandoah National Park were we did some awesome hikes. The house had everything we needed. Rooms were nice and big, bathrooms were very nice, and great kitchen. Had breakfast each morning in the dining room with a large window looking out over the beautiful scenery! Found some nice restaurants nearby as well. Highly recommend this place!!!

Beautiful weekend!

This was our third visit to South River Farm, it’s one of our favorite destinations for a family getaway! The space is clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. The farm is beautiful and provides a peaceful backdrop. We will definitely be back again!

Adorable farmhouse stay

The location and views of this farmhouse were incredible. We stayed here for a wedding at early mountain vineyard which was a short 15 minute ride down the road. Everything was as listed and had everything we needed for our short weekend. The owners also left a dozen eggs from their farm in the fridge for our arrival which was a thoughtful touch.

Virginia Get Away

We enjoyed the peace and beauty of the property. This was our second visit and we hope to visit again. The house has farm house charm with updated kitchen appliances and bathrooms. The view from the front porch is beautiful! Highly recommend!

Fantastic!

This property is adorable, cozy, and comfortable. We stayed for the weekend to celebrate a friend's wedding at Lydia Mountain Lodge, which was a quick 15 min trip. Judy was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, and we really enjoyed our stay. I would 100% recommend this property to others and I hope to be able to visit again in the future!

Wonderfully Beautiful

This was a girls trip with my family. This farm was not only picturesque, but the farm house was fabulous. It is centrally located and easy to find on the map. We went to several places but enjoyed the front porch the most! Thank you Miss Judy for your hospitality. We had a fantastic time!

What a gem. We stayed here to attend a wedding at Barn at Edgewood. It was an easy commute there and back several times a day. Two families of 4 fit comfortably with plenty of room. Farm house is clean and adorable, views and grounds are post card worthy. Our host Oliver the puppy came to visit several times and our teens were in love with him. We will be back to refill our soul here again.
