Such a great stay! Mike and Nancy were attentive, generous hosts, always available by text and phone during our stay. An 19-page compendium tells you about every feature of the house which didn’t feel like a rental but a home friends might have lent you. There was an abundance of stuff, unlike what you usually find in a rental. The kitchen, pantry and laundry room had everything you could possibly want to cook and host meals, including two dishwashers and two washer-dryers. During a sudden rolling blackout we went searching for flashlights and found four of them ready to go, and tons of candles. Also, piles of towels, pool towels, linens, napkins, etc. It felt as though everything had been thought of and provided for. Our grandson was even fortunate to find a treasure trove of toys left for him by Mike and Nancy’s little boy. The rooms were large, comfortable and pristine, important in these trying times. The setting felt a bit like being in an Italian movie, with a pickle ball court nestled in the trees, a charming overgrown garden replete with roses, tomatoes, herbs and fruit trees, and a pool overlooking a grove of California oak trees. The lawn by the house is a perfect place for children to play. Overall, there’s an old-fashioned, summers-gone-by charm to this place, a sense of peace and remoteness accentuated by its position at the end of a private road, yet it’s only ten minutes to downtown. We highly recommend Mike and Nancy’s lovely home and we will be back!
