Great Stay for Our Family During Country Call!We stayed here for the Country Call concert in Ocean City, and it was the perfect spot! The house is in a great neighborhood — tucked back enough to feel quiet and private, but still close to everything. There were plenty of big bedrooms, and most of them had their own bathrooms, which made it super convenient for our family. The beds were comfortable, and the whole place had a nice, homey feel. Overall, it was a really great stay, and my family had an amazing time. We’d definitely come back!

The location and size of the home was perfect. It was located in a beautiful community close to many popular amenities. The size and layout worked beautifully for our family. My only disappointment was the kitchen. All the cookware should be replaced. We made due with what was provided, but was below standard

Great vacation

The house is beautiful and I have already recommended it to someone. We had a couple of problems with the combination to the door not working, but found the back door open so we were able to get in, turns out the batteries were dead. I would recommend changing these on a regular basis don't wait for them to be dead. The bedrooms were very nice and although not soundproof you could sleep with others enjoying the house. The only small criticism I would say is the cleaning staff could do a better job mopping the floors getting into the corner under furniture a little better. Overall my family and I truly loved the place and our vacation.

Little Getaway

This house is located in a very quiet neighborhood. It was a weekend getaway to celebrate my daughter getting married. Everything was smooth from booking, to checking in and even checking out of the property. We were very pleased with our accommodations.

Great and safe experience

The home was for the most part clean and was spacious which we enjoyed. The one bathroom shower (upstairs master) wouldn’t get warm unfortunately so some of us had cold showers but aside from that we felt very safe in the neighborhood, loved the outside view, the space, and overall a great experience. Would definitely recommend to another family or group.

Great stay

Our group of 11 had a wonderful stay at the Heron's Retreat. The kitchen was well-equipped so we were able to prepare all of our meals in at the house. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms stocked with everything we needed for our short stay. The only things missing were very minor: extra garbage bags, plastic wrap, and laundry detergent. This was not an issue for us and we would definitely book here again in the future.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this property. The location was fantastic, and the house itself was very clean upon arrival, which we greatly appreciated. The sheer size and space of the main living areas and most bedrooms were wonderful and comfortably accommodated our group.Areas for ImprovementWhile the space was great, there are a few things future guests should know:Appliances: The major kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove, etc.) are quite outdated and appeared to be nearing the end of their lifespan. They functioned, but a refresh is definitely needed soon.Kitchen Inventory: The kitchen was lacking in basic essentials. We found very few, if any, usable pots and pans, which made cooking for a group challenging. This inventory needs to be significantly increased.Bedroom Layout: One of the bedrooms is very small and, due to its size, is likely only suitable for very young children. More importantly, its only entrance is through the adjoining bedroom's bathroom, which is an awkward and inconvenient layout.Management Communication NoteWe also experienced some frustration with the management company's communication process. It felt like an AI tool was being used to handle initial queries and policy reviews before a human agent could step in. This caused a headache when trying to clarify the check-in and check-out times, as the times listed on the VRBO booking differed significantly from the management company's standard policy.

Great House!

Stayed with a group of 13 (4 families in OC for a cheer competition). House was great for having 6 teenagers with us! Overall pretty clean, did have some broken glass from a lightbulb at top of stairs in hallway that we were able to see and clean up easily but could have gotten into someone's barefoot if we didn't notice. Dishwasher didn't work on last day and when I notified the property manager they responded promptly.

Location is good, need to replace all beds as they are old and in bad shape and make creeping noises as one move around the beds. Need trash bags, paper towel. Batteries in remotes for TVs throughout the house are mostly dead. Remote for garage was not provided so garage was pretty much useless as one have to go in the house first to open the garage using switch in garage.

House needs maintenance attention

The house was big and nice inside upon first arrival. It seemed to be clean enough. The hot water heater wasn't working more than it did work. The toilet in the upstairs master bedroom wouldn't flush. Maintenance was out for the toilet issue and unable to fix. All the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The kitchen needs to be restocked with pots and pans - the ones available looked to be 20 years old. Luckily, we were only there for a weekend and only needed to cook one meal in. I would not stay at this property again.
