Our family really enjoyed the time we spent at this cabin. The cabin’s design is great but for the New Year’s Day there was no Christmas tree.

We’ve stayed at quite a few rental properties, in diverse locations, some of them significantly more expensive than this one. This was probably the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a very nice cabin in a great location on the Chippewa Flowage, and the owners are really great to work with. We did have a few hiccups during this trip (not related to Rick and Gail) and they accommodated us better than we could’ve expected. Truly good people and a great property.

Fantastic Cabin!

Our party included my husband, adult son, DIL & 15 mo old baby, and our two dogs.Everything was perfect! The listing is 100% accurate except it’s more beautiful in-person. The location is perfect. The fishing was great. The hosts were great. We fished, enjoyed a trip to Hayward for shopping, and had a fantastic time. The cabin is breathtaking & was great for our family. Can’t wait to return!

Fantastic property

Fishing was good. Very clean house Kitchen well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Decorating was in true Northwoods style I will recommend to everyone!

Instant calm

It was exactly what we needed. Our multigenerational family and dog loved this cabin. It was really nice to be able to just walk out to the dock and the setup was great for lounging in.

Simply spectacular!

Eaglesnest is everything you could want in a northwoods retreat, and Gail and Rick are excellent hosts. We've traveled the world; much of America, Euorpe, Asia, the Carribean, and have never felt so welcome and at home. Only negative is that we had to leave so soon.

Nice cabin and perfect location!

Very nice, comfortable cabin. Everything you need! We had our daughter and two dogs with us and took our boat out each day to enjoy the beautiful Chippewa Flowage. We fished, stopped at islands to hike and tubed. Then at night back to the cabin for dinner and a bonfire. The owners were great to work with too! Very nice get away!

Exactly what we imagined!

Lovely getaway

We had a lovely time in the beautiful, clean house. We are not hunters and were hoping to hike but there were limited options around that seemed safe from hunters. Otherwise, fantastic and highly recommended!

Amazing experience

We had an amazing time here. It is clean. Well cared for. Beautiful!!! Owners were amazing to work with and helped us unload our trucks and get boat in water. We will be coming back and would recommend to anyone! My kids and black lab also had a great time!

Great Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at Eaglesnest. The accommodations were very nice, decor was great, and the location was wonderful. It was also nice to have a pontoon to use on the lake. The owner puts a lot of effort into ensuring that her guests have a nice stay, and that is much appreciated. It is also much appreciated that dogs are allowed and enjoyed by the owner. She understands that they are part of your family, too. We hope to return in the near future!

Thanks for the review! The best part of renting is truly our renters! When you mentioned the dogs being allowed, and welcomed, a smile came over my face. Spectacular Up North Cabin for a Family!

We loved out stay and the cabin is fantastic and perfectly set up. We used all the good advice for things to do and places to go. It's a little remote if you're the type who wants to pop into town for shopping or lunch, but our family was looking for a quiet week with lots of board games, XC skiing and big family meals and it was exactly what we expected. Except for the coyote skin over the back of the couch... we didn't expect that :)

Ok, here is the story on the coyote...I am at a friends house, and this coyote, is lying across their banister, being from the "city" . I ask, what's that??? Oh it's a coyote, my friend responds. To be polite I say "oh cool" . The next weekend he shows up at my house with a Very big dead coyote, and says here you go, I shot this for you! So 4 Hundred dollars later.... there you have it!!!!! WE REALLY ENJOYED HAVING YOU, PLEASE COME STAY AGAIN!!!!!! RICK AND GAIL RAHLF

Very nice, comfortable cabin. Everything we needed! We had our daughter and her two dogs with us and took our boat out each day to enjoy the beautiful Chippewa Flowage. We fished, and took the pontoon out for a nice relaxing ride around the lake. The owners were great to work with too and asked our opinion on anything that could make the lake home better for us and future guests! Very nice get away, hope to be back again! Thanks Gail and Rick for sharing your beatufil home.

Family vacation

This beautiful home was exactly as advertised. The little ones had great fun "exploring", playing in the water and catching lots of fish from the dock. It was a great place to spend precious family time. We thoroughly appreciated the fact that our "dog family" was able to be with us. Gail checked in with us to see if our needs were met. A rainy day was spent bowling and a sunny afternoon was spent with Wilderness Park and go carts. Of course had to have a meal at Original Famous Dave's. We would recommend this beautifully appointed home to anyone.

Exceeds expectations

What an amazing log home and property! You just can't call this place a "cabin". The pictures in the listing don't even do it justice. Very natural and private setting and the home has obviously been well-maintained and was absolutely spotless. Several restaurants/resorts for a short drive/boat ride and Hayward is only about 30 min away. Gail was wonderful to deal with, she was always available if we had a question or were seeking recommendations and responded promptly. We didn't want to leave. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful cabin

This place was perfect in every way. Gail (the host) was very available annd answered every question we had right away. The pictures are accurate. Furniture is comfortable. The owners mother even makes throws so you can cozy up to the wood burning fireplace. Perfect place to relax. It is really nice that the loft upstairs (master suite) has a door for privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (which we did daily). The cabin is close enough to drive in to Hayward for some shopping. The stars are glorious. Sunsets are beautiful. We would love to come back in the summer months. We loved every minute of it and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Gail for being such a wonderful host.

Welcome to our website! This home is our pride and joy. We have shared this home with renters, since we built it. We built it with you in mind. We have rented homes before, and thought if ever we could, we would build it with all the extras. This home has brought our family many good times. We are big dog lovers, so please bring the 4 legged 'kids too'! My husband Rick, has taken this home as his ever lovin pastime, adding neat touches, and making it one of the areas finest. This is the escape we were looking for...perfect vacation home that removes you from all the rat race of the cities. My husband grew up coming to this lake, his parents, owned a trailer at a resort. His stories, of coming to the lake and hanging around the kids, was a very fun experience for him. When we first started looking at properties, we found ourselves coming back to this lake, simply because nothing else compared. Our street is a Penninsula, so we don't have much traffic and can walk our dogs, with no fear, of cars.

Big water views, no stairs to the lake. The fishing here can't be beaten, Fishing off our dock brings in fish...ALL THE TIME!! We built this home, so we added all the special touches. Our builder was recommended to us by a resort owner from this area, and we could not have been more pleased. We wanted a flat piece of property. When we saw this property in such a great area, that was it, we had to have it! This wooded property is just so private and relaxing. Come see for yourself!
