Mixed bag. The good: great view, nicely decorated, easy walk to the beach, good condo complex, well stocked kitchen. The bad: air conditioner works poorly. Took hours for a small condo to cool. The ugly: very badly stained white carpet that should have been replaced years ago, and very noisy air conditioning unit about 6 feet away from bed made sleeping with AC on impossible - dealbreaker.

Our family had a lovely time at 5E. The Lanai was really amazing and we enjoyed using it for Coffee in the am and Sunsets in the pm. Overall a wonderful stay!

This condo has only partial to minimum ocean views obscured by stark, cut back vegetation of 6E that was under noisy renovation during our entire stay. The bedroom carpet has a large water stain off the bathroom concerning for mold. I notified the local team and guest relations to no avail and will avoid rentals through Vrbo in the future.

Excellent blend of being close and relaxing solitude!

Ekahi 5E is a beautiful condo that is well appointed in all areas: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living spaces. We loved the view to the ocean over the greenbelt. The greenbelt it full of colorful flowers and busy birds of all kinds! A short walk to the pool and beach is one of the best features of 5E. We enjoyed the solitude of feeling almost secluded and at the same time, Ekahi is perfectly located to explore all of South Maui and beyond!

Faces the green belt, lots of bird life, very private, some ocean view. Ekahi Village as a whole is a beautiful property, we’ve stayed in other units for many years.

Already planning our next visit

We’ve stayed in the Ekahi Village complex before but I think this is now our favorite unit :) Beautifully equipped, quiet unit with comfortable indoor/outdoor furniture, an extremely comfortable king size bed and nicely chosen linens/towels. We will be back :)

Tired Unit With Vert Noisy Air conditioning

Tired decor, dirty rugs, and tech from the 90s, but the worst thing about the unit is the air conditioning is on the lanai just on the other side of the head of the dead and is worn out and noisy, requiring ear plugs. The best thing is the location and a nice view from the lanai.

Quiet and Relaxing

Nice property for a quiet and relaxing stay. Pool area was well maintained, and very nice beach area. The unit was located in a nice place, with a view of the water. Convenient to the pool and beach. Home on vacation!

This is our 5th visit to 5E! We simply love everything about this unit. Location to the pool is excellent...Views are lovely...Kitchen has all the needs. We were very disappointed to have lost the closet however. The owners removed a closet to install "owner only" bunk beds. I am sure this must accommodate their family best. We just found it hard to only have one portion of a closet to use. Otherwise, it was another delightful stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was very nice and in good order. All the essentials to get your stay started is there, like the coffee grounds and laundry tablets. The only negative is the AC unit is right outside of the bedroom patio door and is very loud. It was hard to sleep without earplugs. Maybe it needs to be cleaned or maintained more regularly.

Two things that could use improvement for this place: 1) Provide a beach umbrella! That really changes the beach experience when you have to search for shade or leave early because you don't want to be in the sun. 2) If we provide you with a time we are coming please have AC on AND provide instructions for how to use it. Rechelle, we really appreciate your suggestions. While we dont keep umbrellas on property because they're a liability, we do rent them out and have them delivered upon request. This could be helpful for any of your future stays! We are always will and able to assist our guests if they have issues with anything during there stay, but the A/C instructions is a great idea. My family enjoyed staying here and it’s easy access to everything on the island. The one caveat is, if you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring air plugs to cover up the noise of the air conditioner. The air conditioner is set right outside the master bedroom, probably 2 feet from where you sleep. I would recommend to the owners that they add some insulation around the air conditioner to help quiet it as it was a bit painful to have to try and deal with the noise throughout the night .

It was well-appointed and very comfortable, with an ocean view and a very short walk to the beach. Loved the 3 mile oceanfront walk south through Wailea, and the beach walk north towards Kihei. The second bathroom and murphy bed worked out well for my teenager. We would definitely stay in this unit and/or in this complex again. My only complaint for such a well appointed property and kitchen was that the only cooking basics were salt and pepper. Please provide a few more basics! So wasteful and expensive to have to purchase a bottle of olive oil, a box of sugar for coffee and other basic condiments when cooking just a few meals.

Excellent stay with some qualifications

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in many units in Ekahi. This one is very nicely redone and has good views. Our concerns: first, the downstairs neighbors in 5B are pretty noisy. They appear to be full time residents and play a television often, loudly enough to hear both inside the unit and especially outside on the lanai. This was very disappointing. Second, the unit needs a coffee table in the living room, and a dining table inside. There is only a counter with stools and TWO tables outside on the lanai. The lanai has no room for chaise lounges as a result. This should be remedied.

Best Vacation Property in Wailea!

My family and my extended family have all stayed at condos in Ekahi Village multiple times over the past 15 years, and this was by far our best stay! The view from the lanai is SO MUCH BETTER than the photos in the listing! We could see whales breaching from the lanai, even without binoculars - although the binoculars provided at the condo made it even more spectacular. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning. The main pool and one of the quiet pools was just a couple minutes to walk, and we walked the beach and the Wailea Beach Path almost every day, all the way to The Shops of Wailea. Ekahi Village is so well kept with the gardens and trees, and the condo was so clean - especially loved having two updated bathrooms with fantastic modern showers (the one in the master was a rainfall shower). Kitchen was updated and well stocked. The only issue we ran into was that the washing machine was leaking and we couldn’t use it for the first half of our stay, but they ordered the part and repaired it so we did get to use it toward the end of our stay, which was very convenient. Great communication with the property management. The pool/beach gate code on the printout provided in the condo isn’t correct so if you stay here make sure to ask the property management for the updated code (we had to get it from one of the neighbors). Overall the best stay we could have hoped for - the views of the ocean and luxurious tropical gardens from the lanai are unmatched!!

The QR will always have the update to date pool code as well as other important information such as a property map you can download to your phone, as well as the wifi name and password. Our apologies this was not in the unit upon your arrival, it will be for future guests. It was a pleasure hosting you and working with you. We do hope to welcome you and the family back again soon.
