Nice villa in the south of Crete

Nice villa with amazing sea views. Good location near many nice beaches and small villages in the more quiet southern part of Crete. The host was very kind and offered excellent service on site. The only downside was the administrative service offered by the agency as well as Fewo-Direkt as part of the booking process, which was less than perfect.

Fantastic house

The house was perfect for an extended family with the 3 bedrooms. Well equipped. Walking distance to a great beach. Nice, private swimming pool.

Excellent, comfortable and clean Villa.

Wonderful Villa, so clean..beds wonderfully comfortable. Lots of hot water, all you could need for a great holiday. Although among other villas it is not overlooked at all and very quiet. Gorgeous views and great pool. Lived evey minute !!!

Maison très agréable, vue superbe sur piscine et mer

Séjour très agréable dans cette confortable maison. J'avais lu avec attention les commentaires précédents, et les propriétaires ont dû en faire autant. La terrasse autour de la piscine a maintenant un espace un peu abrité du soleil, le balcon au 1er étage côté piscine a été aménagé de façon à y avoir une table pour 4 ou 5. Nous nous y tenions beaucoup le soir, pour admirer cette vue sublime. Il y a une serre et une maison entre celle-ci et la mer, mais en contrebas ce qui ne gâche pas la vue. Piscine pas très profonde mais avec taille permettant de nager. Coin assez isolé des commerces, mais comme nous avions une voiture cela n'a pas été un problème. Propreté parfaite et tout l'équipement nécessaire. Le ménage a été fait une autre fois pendant la semaine. L'hôtel en face de la maison se chargeait de la remise des clés et du ménage, avec employés très prévenants. Nous n'avons pas compris comment faire avec les poubelles à jeter et les avons laissées... Nous avons découvert le dernier jour un petit chemin pour accéder à une crique en bas de la maison... Dommage comme du coup nous n'en avons pas profité. Mais la plage de sable à 3mn de voiture avec parasol était sympa même si moins intime. Un séjour vraiment très agréable.

Perfect villa and great service

We really enjoyed the villa. The villa itself was well equipped with well functioning air conditioning, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, showers, etc. The pool was just glorious with the awesome view over the sea. The villa was also surprisingly quiet despite the road close to it. The balcony was great for enjoying the breakfast. There were two short breakdowns of the water supply due to the area-wide problems but these were just temporary, and we were informed of the situation by our superb host Maria. She was really helpful in assisting us whenever we wanted something and had any questions - perfect service always with such friendliness. The surroundings were great for hikes - we especially enjoyed the Milonas waterfall and walks up the Achlia gorge along the roads available. We will certainly recommend the villa to our friends.

A little piece of paradise

We decided on the Purple Moon villa after searching for a location that we felt was both quiet and less traveled than your normal 'tourist' spots. Upon arrival, the property manager was friendly and helpful along with the villa being very clean and well-appointed. There are 3-bedrooms (all A/C equipped) on the first floor and all have direct access to the pool area thru large windowed doors. Upstairs is a kitchen, living room, and dining area capable of comfortably sitting 6-8 people with WONDERFUL views of the Mediterranean. The upper floor also has access to a terrace equipped with chairs and table for morning coffee or evening drinks. The Wi-fi was surprisingly good and we were able to stream videos and speak with friends/family without issue. Our favorite location was the pool area where there are ample sunbeds and umbrellas with plenty of room for a family or just a couple wishing to relax in peace while overlooking a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Achlia Beach is a 10-minute walk to the east where one can rent a cabana hut (6 Euro for 2 adults) with access to a local 'Taverna' with access to food and drink. Local grocery shopping is a 10-minute drive in either direction or, for a bigger selection (think Lidl), 30-minutes away. We very much enjoyed our stay at Purple Moon villa and would recommend this property for couples or families looking for their own little piece of paradise.

Perfect & peaceful

The property is fantastic - very well appointed. Everything you need for a great stay. Maria & her team in the hotel opposite were great. Beautiful pool & the sunsets / 180 degree sea views were exceptional. The beach in Achlia was great & the food in both local tavernas is good. A couple of minor (very minor) downsides. Ideally could have done with a bit more shade around the pool. My daughters loved the sunbathing but it was a bit much for me & also - this could be a positive to some rather than a downside - it is a little isolated & you probably need to hire a car. On the whole a fantastic place & loved every minute

What a fantastic place - we have had a wonderful time here at Purple Moon, and certainly look forward to coming back! Everything was perfect. The villa provides all that you would want for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. It was lovely in the morning to be able to simply step out of bed and have the pool beside you. The view from the balconies over the Mediterranean Sea is breath taking. The villa was always exceptionally clean and well provided for. Maria’s help and thoughtfulness was always on hand when needed. All the necessary facilities are very nearby, with a plethora of beautiful beaches scattered along the coast line - Achlia beach being only a few minutes walk away. Achlia is a great central location from which to explore the east side of Crete - we would recommend trips to Sitia, Ierapetra, Agios Nikolaos, (all along the coast), or up to Oreino, Pefki and Stavochori in the mountains - then back to the tranquility of Purple Moon. We would highly recommend a stay at Purple Moon villa. K, A & L

Beautiful villa with a quiet, rural location.

Stunning views of the sea, only 500m from a shingle beach - the villa is located in a rural village on the south east coast of the island. The villa has all that you would need and it was well managed by the hotel over the road. Clean sheets and towels every few days too. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you 'Purple Moon'!

Spacieuse villa bien équipée avec vue magnifique

Belle villa, spacieuse, bien équipée. Il ne manquait qu'un bac à glaçon et des ciseaux dans la cuisine, ce qui ne nous a pas gêné du tout. Sinon, torchons, sacs poubelle etc étaient fournis ! Accueil chaleureux, les courses pour notre 1er petit-déjeuner étaient même déjà faites !! Belle surprise, car on arrivait tard le soir. Le ménage est fait 2 fois dans la semaine, serviettes propres, poubelles vidées etc. Le principal atout de cette maison, outre les services et la disponibilité des gérants, est sa vue magnifique, aussi bien depuis les 3 chambres à coucher au rez-de-chaussée, que depuis la cuisine et le salon et salle à manger. Large balcon, pas très profond, tout le long de la façade, avec petite table/chaises et une balançoire pour bouquiner ou faire la sieste avec vue sur la mer. Le seul inconvénient de la maison c'est que l'autre façade donne sur une route. C'est de ce côté là que se trouve un balcon avec une grande table de jardin avec 6 chaises. Nous n'y avons jamais mangé, préférant manger à la table d'intérieur avec les portes fenêtres vers la mer ouvertes. La maison est calme dans l'ensemble.

Beautiful villa with sea view and pool.

We had an amazing time at the villa purple moon. Beautiful property with lovely pool and sea view. The house is managed by the hotel across the road who were incredibly helpful. The villa was cleaned and fresh towels every few days. Achlia is a lovely area, less touristy than the north of the island. Would highly recommend cretan cruises to the island of koufonisi. We would definitely go back!

Great holiday villa for a family with small children and teenagers.

The Villa is located in a quiet place. Not far away from the busy town (20min drive) where you can enjoy the night life or have a good lunch near the sea. Overall we were very impressed with the sea view from the villa and great size of the swimming pool which is just a few steps from your rooms.Moreover you will find all the basic kitchen equipment in the kitchen cupboards. Good cleaning services which were twice a week.
