Place met our needs with 3 bedrooms. It was nice to have an AC in each room. Bathrooms a little outdated, but everything else was great!

Perfect location

Place was really clean and the perfect location. Condo had everything needed for a perfect family beach vacation . Owner was great to work with, responded to any questions immediately and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely recommend and we would love to stay again.

This location was great with easy access to Honolulu/Waikiki as well as the north end of the island. Kevin, the owner was excellent to deal with and very helpful.

Perfect Quiet Location

This property is in a perfect quiet neighborhood and has a wonderful view of the golf course. Very clean and quaint. We will definitely stay here again next trip.

Good value spot

The location is great and the golf cart is clutch! The place itself had a few minor snafus from being a bit old (eg dishwasher had issues), but they were manageable and the owner tried his best and was super communicative.

Thanks for the feedback; everyone agrees that the golf cart is a big plus. The dishwasher is being repaired/replaced; it's the only major kitchen appliance that hasn't been replaced in the last 2 years.

Great property in a quiet neighborhood. The property has access to the Fairways pool. The Lagoons are within walking distance(great morning walk). The condo is fully equipped kitchen and washer & dryer. We had a great time there

Affordable townhouse in Paradise

We really enjoyed our stay here. There are not many places to stay in Hawaii with enough bedrooms for the whole family. The townhouse is walking distance to my favorite beach on the island. We also had the option to rent a golf cart which came in handy to shuttle my grandkids and aging mom to the beach and stores. I would definitely like to come back here again.

Good value for families

Great location. Nice walk to the lagoons and light shopping / restaurants. The golf cart is a definite value add and favourite of the children. The property is no frills, but well stocked. Beds are comfortable. Heavy duty washer/dryer is perfect for a family. Outdoor patio is limited. No sunrise or sunset views from property. Overall excellent value and would stay here again - 5 stars.

An Excellent Deal

The owner Kevin had everything ready for us as promised, we never had to contact him during our stay as everything was perfect. The unit is fully air-conditioned and nice and spacious, a must for a larger family. The golf cart is a great way to get down to the lagoons without having to worry about parking your car. The pool in the complex is fantastic, we enjoyed barbecuing hamburgers and steaks poolside. Kevin was a pleasure to deal with, I would gladly rent this place again without hesitation.

Holiday at Ko Olina

We simply had the most wonderful family reunion and Kevin's home was perfect. We had plenty of space and my elderly parents enjoyed the privacy and comfort of their master bedroom with ensuite. The location is unique and I would thoroughly recommend hiring the golf buggy and bikes. It is by far the best way of transport around the resort. The lagoons are totally safe for children to swim in and we saw wonderful tropical fish and many, many seaturtles and even the highly endangered Hawaiin monkseal. I do hope we will be able to return one day...

My wife and I felt at home here. The landlord had lots of amenities for us to use. To have your own garage was great from a sercurity stand point. The place was vey clean. Everything worked. The only issue we had was the front door lock broke on the first night we were there, but the landlord had someone out immediately to fix it. Spacious but Time for TLC

We liked the condo and all the space for our (adults) family. Everyone was able to congregate or retreat as needed. Loved the conveniences (washer/dryer). Rented the bikes and golf cart but were too busy to use them, lol! Furnishings pleasant though a bit worn: mold in master bath was a bummer. Owner very helpful and communicative. There is no “view”. It’s a backside condo in a quiet golf course community. We had a great time. 😀

The listing shows the golf course/sunset view from the front door/living/dining rooms. Once a spot of mold has stained bath tile, it is ~impossible to remove the black spot despite multiple treatments with bleach.

Perfect location for family get away

This condo came exactly as advertised: child-oriented, quiet upscale neighborhood, durable furniture, easy to enjoy. The kitchen supplies were abundant, with a food processor, plenty of plates and glasses, Wolfgang Puck pots n pans, lovely wine glasses. The circular community pool was absolutely outstanding. We had 6 in the condo + local family members (14 total) all getting together for dinners at the pool some evenings … perfect, easy setting. A couple of questions came up and the owner was very responsive. 18 steps up to the second story unit. Washer and dryers were a huge asset. Golf cart was the icing on top.

Convenient location

Enjoyed staying at the Fairways in Ko Olina. The Fairways property itself was well maintained. The Lanai on this unit was small, but big enough for 4 or 5 friendly adults to visit out there. I spent a good deal of my time outside on the Lanai watching the golf carts, birds and feral cats with a cup of coffee. It is easy walking distance to the pool and walking distance to the lagoons. Kevin was quick to respond to questions. There was a common area that my 2 ½ year old granddaughter could play in. Inside the kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of linens and towels, though worn. Appears to be a long-term rental property. Some maintenance and cleaning are needed. Be advised: The golf cart is old and has manual steering. That did not prevent us using it and enjoying it. The bicycles are in poor condition. My son did take his daughter on one ride, but we made sure to take the pump with us. The printer is missing parts and the cord. We enjoyed our stay as did our guests. We will be back to Ko Olina next year.

Cozy yet spacious unit

Very spacious upstairs unit, stocked with all kinds of MUCH APPRECIATED amenities! My husband and I, along with our 3 young kids enjoyed our stay at Kevin’s property very much! There was an abundance of towels (bath and beach/pool) and beach/pool toys (floaties, body boards, pool noodles, sand toys). The full kitchen was stocked with cooking and eating utensils and the working washer and dryer were a bonus! We also rented the golf cart from Kevin and that was such a fun way to drive around Ko’Olina- the lagoons, Paradise Cove, Ko’Olina station (a plaza with a small ABC market and several restaurants and boutiques). Bikes are also available to rent from Kevin as well, helmets and pump included! The condo community is SO FRIENDLY and embodies the whole Aloha spirit! We met and talked with several locals, the pool area was really nice to just sit and chat, the pool is huge! We totally recommend this property, especially if you want a quiet neighborhood for a relaxing get away. You can drive the golf cart to the lagoons- apparently there USED to be a designated parking area for golf carts only but we were not able to find any spots like that. A local had told us that they had removed the designated golf cart parking but if you are able to chat with a parking attendant at the parking lots- they MIGHT let you squeeze in and park the golf cart in a small tucked away space. We cannot wait to return to this property!

Good location, could use some TLC

Pros: nice quiet location, washer & dryer, lots of gear for the beach, comfy pillows, definitely rent the golf cart (heads up, the breaks aren’t working great and the steering is tough, but still nice to have!) Kevin was very responsive Cons: the house felt dirty (the AC units looked particularly dirty so we didn’t turn them on), guest toilet screeches unless you turn the water off each time you flush, found 2 cockroaches, ants, and a dangerous Vietnamese centipede during our 5 day stay (and a gecko, though that didn’t freak me out). I understand this is a tropical location, however when we mentioned the Vietnamese centipede to Kevin and our concern about having our toddler and baby there, his recommendation was for us to attain a pest control person and arrange it all ourselves, and he’d cover half the cost (FYI if it bites, people have described the pain as worse than labor, which scared me if one happened to bite one of my kids). I didn’t feel cared for in this situation. How odd that we would have to arrange it and pay for half! My mother lost sleep afraid of seeing another centipede so we tried to find another place to stay (Kevin agreed to prorating our stay if we chose to leave) however we quickly realized we couldn’t afford the nearby resorts and it was all too much with our kids. I was surprised he didn’t offer any sort of help or discount for all of these troubles during our short vacation. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Sorry that your stay was less than perfect. Yes Hawaii is tropical and has bugs, geckos and rare things like centipedes; though I've never seen one inside our unit. Your request to have an exterminator come out on a Friday would not only have been very difficult, but probably very expensive. As Homeaway customer support concluded after their review: "Some travelers are challenging." I believe our previous 45 Reviews, 'Wonderful' 4.8/5 rating speaks for itself; but we will always strive to get a 5/5.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with your stay; but it's hard to respond to "Beach was non existent"? Yes, there is is paid parking at the resort market area, but renters can sign-up for free parking. Plus, the Lagoon parking is free and there are designated spots for golf carts.

We were very happy with the cleanliness of the home. The beds were comfortable except for Murphybed. It was disappointing that the unit was on the second level. Did not see or it was not mentioned in the discription that there were stairs. Kevin was great about responding to questions. Everything that you would need was provided. The use of the golf cart was very convenient.

Great Ko Olina Location

Great location with plenty of room for the family to spread out. Kevin is a great host and highly recommend his property.

Great place to stay

Great townhouse, great amenities, loved having the golf cart, great location with the lagoons close by and the use of the pool. Loved having the kitchen and washer and dryer. Would love to stay here again. The owner was great to work with. Mahalo

Highly recommended. Great location!!

We loved our stay at this location. Very nice home with everything you need for a comfortable and homey stay. Walking distance from the lagoons. Easy check-in and check-out. Communication was very good and prompt. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and quite stay

Had a nice family stay over the new year holiday. It rained the entire time so it was great to have access to the washer and dryer. Place was clean and well organized. Communication between Kevin was great and would recommend if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki.
