4BR / 2BA - K, Q, K, 2S - Schlafmöglichkeiten für 8 - Kurzer Fußweg von ca. 100 Metern über die Straße zum Strand Ein klassisches Edisto Beach Cottage mit Kiefernwänden, Fußböden und Decken. Beim Betreten der Veranda mit Meerblick werden Sie mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und sogar einem Essbereich begrüßt. Neben der Veranda befindet sich eine Tür zu einer seitlichen Sonnenterrasse mit Meerblick. Von der Veranda aus betreten Sie den Wohnbereich des Hauses. Ein Essbereich und eine große Wohnküche mit Frühstückstheke und Hockern verbinden sich mit dem Wohnraum. Auf der rechten Seite des großen Zimmers befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Kingsize-Bett. Es gibt ein Bad mit Duschkabine im Flur auf dieser Seite des Hauses und ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett. Auf der linken Seite der Immobilie befindet sich ein 3. Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten und Meerblick. Neben dem Essbereich befindet sich das 4. Schlafzimmer mit einem Kingsize-Bett und einer Tür zu einem Verbindungsbad. Dieses Bad mündet auch in den zentralen Teil des Hauses. Die Waschküche befindet sich neben der Küche.

Ein schönes Strandhäuschen in einer tollen Lage am Edisto Beach! Zu den weiteren Annehmlichkeiten gehört eine Sonnenterrasse hinter dem Haus. Unter dem Haus befindet sich eine Betonunterlage zum Grillen oder Herumhängen sowie eine große geschlossene Außendusche. Internetdienste sind verfügbar.
Kleine Haustiere sind erlaubt. Nichtraucher, keine Bett- und Badwäsche. Kein Handy.

Lifetime Edisto Beach Visitor

Part of me doesn’t want to leave a great review because I want to keep this house a secret. Haha!! I spent much of my childhood on Edisto, and this house was great. The only thing worth mentioning is that if you are coming to stay for a long time, it might be worth bringing storage containers to keep your food. That’s always good anyway bc …. Summer - SC Bugs- but the house doesn’t have any empty cabinets- pantry for your personal food storage- that ends up all over the counters. This is also kind of typical of some beach places, but it felt worth mentioning. Some of the screens are missing on windows or may need repair (not owners fault bc they don’t know what they don’t know/ and any guest who isn’t used to screen doors might push the screen which can be hard to keep up with. But - the house was perfect for my family, and we will 100% rent again when it’s available. It was nostalgic- close and easy walk to the old pavilion- close to the public beach path- you can hear the waves from the house. Thanks for the memories. Please let us come back. (Also thrilled not to be paying the insane fees with companies like VACASA- your cleaning fee was super reasonable).

Perfect Location, Super Clean

The Gulls Nest was an absolute gem of a location with the beach right across the street. The place was exceptionally clean and was a very comfortable place to stay. Be sure to pay notice to the details that no linens or towels are provided.

Great location during our February visit! Perfect beach house for our visit. We enjoyed the laidback atmosphere on the island and the more active lifestyle in Charleston. Would definitely like to stay there again!

Perfect location, needs a little refresh

Walking distance to everything you need—beach, restaurants, grocery store, state park. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated and well-equipped, only thing that could vastly improve the stay is less grungy furniture in living room. Otherwise great!

Great location

Location and spaciousness of this rental was great. As mentioned in many other reviews- house was dusty dirty and furniture very worn. Could be a dream house with some TLC and a quality cleaning service.

Nice older beach home

This is the third time I've stayed at Gulls Nest. I love the location on the island. Very easy access to the beach. While the house is an older style home, it's the charm I like and remember from my youth at Edisto. I'll always try to stay here.

Great Location

This is our second stay at Gulls Nest and are very happy with the accommodations. The location is perfect for beach access 1A and very close to the gas station and Food Lion. There are a few things that need to be addressed. The dishwasher is broken and I washed more dishes than I cared to. They need a can opener that functions and a vacuum that can clean the floors better. We did love the new floors and updated lock on the bathroom. The beds are very comfortable, make sure to bring linens. The air conditioner worked so well and the extra fans were a nice addition. The outdoor shower was very nice and helpful for a larger family. We look forward to booking again! We saw sea turtles hatch! That was awesome and took a charter with Edisto Water sports. Thank you! We would recommend this beach house!

Classic Edisto Home

The location is perfect! The home is as described, spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. I’ve been staying in homes on Edisto for most of my life and this one is the true old school Edisto home. Nothing fancy but comfortable enough for our family. Only down side was the home was not cleaned to my standards, but we did not complain and were fine giving it a good cleaning prior to using the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. We left the home cleaner than when we arrived. There were also a lot of caterpillars in the home, probably from overhanging trees. This is something we have had in homes on Edisto before, so we cleared them out as we saw them and did not complain. But pest control service may be useful to prevent them from coming inside. Overall we had a great stay and the location made up for any minor inconveniences. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Good location - good week

The location is close to the beach and the grocery store. The property is a classic beach house, not a 5* hotel. If you understand that going in you wont be disappointed! The owners were extremely helpful and very communicative helping out when we forgot a bag.

Edisto Beach House

We enjoyed our stay very much. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch. The house was not cleaned well as empty can under the couch, dust under all the furniture, sand in the bathroom shower, & all rugs were dirty. Certainly had not been mopped recently. The house needs some updates as small bathroom had lock. The screen on the door going onto the side deck was almost gone from flapping in the wind. A kitchen window had a spoon stuck in it to hold it in. We never found the Roku remote to watch tv. Wifi & cell service (Verizon) was very spotty. These things did not keep us from enjoying ourselves. It’s an awesome location. You can walk to Food Lion, ice cream & coffee shops, other shops, restaurants, etc. We would stay again. I tried to contact the host before our trip to tell her the number in our party had changed but couldn't so told vrbo agent. I didn't have any contact with the host. We couldn't find any rules posted in the house other than wifi info which I found unusual. This is the first place I've ever stayed & had to take towels, rags, & bed linens. The house is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, coffee pot, Keurig, utensils, etc. We would stay again.

Cozy beach cabin

This house was great for our group of four adults and two dogs. We spent a lot of time enjoying the front porch, and while the interior could have used a more thorough cleaning, it was a fine place to stay for a week. We did have an issue with a leak in the ceiling that was not resolved during our stay, but the property manager was very helpful and communicative about the issue. Overall, would definitely stay here again!

Hot week

The air conditioning and internet went out on Monday. I notified VRBO on early Tuesday morning. There was no info on how to notify owner. The internet was fixed Wednesday, but the AC wasn't fixed until Friday afternoon. Half of my family left before Friday due to the heat. The owner and I texted numerous times over the week after I received his number from VRBO.

Perfect for a group with Kids!

We had the most amazing stay at this house! The location was so close to the beach access point! The house was clean and had everything we needed! The porch spaces were amazing! The kids spent most of their downtime out on the front screened-in porch and once they went to bed it was the perfect spot for parents to hang out! We would definitely come back again!

Great location

It was a great location with plenty of room but they need a new house cleaner. The oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and counters weren’t cleaned. Beer bottles were left on the porch. Floors had been swept but not mopped. Bathrooms still had hair in showers. You can’t see through windows. So if you plan on staying here take cleaning supplies.
