Great for last minute vacation

We booked this on a spur of the moment decision and it was prefect for being last minute. The layout was great for us and the kids and the location is great being only about 10min from the slopes. The Wi-Fi really only works if you’re right next to the router in the downstairs family room but worked great once you were next to it. Would stay again!

This property was everything we hoped for in a big family rental. The teens loved the downstairs room for late night games and tv. The kitchen and dining areas were perfect for preparing and serving a big group. The location was great. Just a short drive to the slopes. Deer walking through the yard daily was also amazing!

It was a very nice house and fulfilled our needs. Wasn’t pleasant to have to worry about taking the trash to another location when you’re trying to leave and have paid a cleaning fee.

It is regrettable you weren't pleased with our trash instructions though. We include this step in our check-out instructions because if trash is left out, it might attract wildlife (deer, bears, etc.) to scavenge so we ask our guests to bring their trash to the AF Recycle Park. Loved the Ponderosa!

Overall great stay in Angel Fire! Skiing was great & the Ponderosa house was perfect! We did some cooking & the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were all very comfortable! We relaxed in the evenings using the large den to watch movies on DirectTV. The weather cooperated & there was tons of fresh powder for kids to play in!

Awesome 4th of July Weekend

This was an awesome property. Really nice to be able to walk to Monte Verde Lake. Nice to watch the deer and the stars from the deck. Never got to use the fire pit because it rained all day, but the property was large enough for us to spread out and not be on top of each other. I know it is in the woods, but maybe it should be sprayed, there were lots of spiders throughout the house.

Pros & Cons

Let me start off with the positives about this house...the location is wonderful and the house was clean! The property management company was "nice" but not very effective. When we arrived, the refrigerator was broken. It took the management company DAYS (half of our stay!) to fix it. This should have been checked before our arrival. That was a big annoyance, but there were other smaller annoyances. Examples - they only provided *one* kitchen towel. The bathtubs didn't have plugs provided, so it was difficult to give our kids baths. The TVs weren't connected to wifi, so we couldn't use any streaming services. There were no AC units, not even window units. So, as you can see, there were pros and cons. I love the house and the location, but I will not rent from this management company again.

Great Location

Its a great location if you want to enjoy the lake..... Perfect views. There are lots of stairs if you have individuals with issues this might not be a good choice. No main floor bedrooms But a great great house other wise ... Two great living areas if you have adults and kids or two different types of activities going on.
