We agree that air conditioning would be a nice addition but at this time the Home Owners Association does not allow it anywhere on property. We have recently updated the portable fans and adjusted the vertical blinds to give privacy. We look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Aloha Matt, We apologize for the inconveniences with both the pool and window work during your stay with us. As an independent Property Manager who represents unit #113, we were told the window work would commence in October, not September. The onsite management office and HOA moved the set schedule around due to "weather" and we had no control over the situation and found out the same time you did once you arrived on property. All window work was done from the outside and we were given less than 24 hours notice once they decided to start. All properties under our management that have AC mention it in the property description or amenities and all Whalers Cove units do not allow for AC per HOA mandate. It is unfortunate you felt uncomfortable leaving the patio doors open at night as that is the the best way for airflow to be created from the guest bedroom windows to the patio doors on the opposite side. The natural flow of the islands almost constant "trade winds" have kept the unit at an acceptable temperature for our guests over the years. After 20 years of managing this property we have never had a break in or security issue due to the locations privacy and security as you cannot get to the back of any unit without going through a locked gate at the pool. For any future guest reading this all pool and window work has been completed and should not impact your stay with us at unit #113. Mahalo! Garden Island Rentals
