Location was just what we needed. Came for a quick family vacation and this home was perfect. We enjoyed being able to hang out in the backyard and swim every evening. Home literally had absolutely anything you could need. I was extremely thankful for the playpen & high chair. Check in process was easy and John was great to communicate with as well. Kids were so sad to leave. We would definitely book again!

From the time we booked the house our experience was great. The house was and property was amazing and had plenty of space. Spacious & Convenient

The house is clean and comfortably furnished. It’s very spacious and well set up, plus the hosts left an unexpected goodie basket and went above and beyond making sure anything we could need was there and easy to find. There was as an obvious attention to detail that exceeded expectations. This was a girls trip and we made several trips into downtown, which was only 15-20 minutes away, as the house was a fantastic home base. However, we enjoyed the house so much we did not want to go out a lot.

Just as listed. Everything was wonderful during our stay. Very laid out and thoughtful with everything that one might need during their stay. Convenient to everything we did during our stay. Wonderful snacks that was waiting for us when we checked in. Spent most of our time there in the backyard. Wonderful yard, pool and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again. We had a party of 12, six adults and six children ages 4-12 and the property was ideal. It was spacious, plenty of sleeping area, the pool and hot tub were a hit with all, putting area and ping pong entertained the children. The location was in a great neighborhood and close to all things we wanted to do and see. If we ever go back to San Antonio we will definitely be returning guest. The was very accommodating and the snack basket was kind gesture

STOP SCROLLING! AMAZING HOUSE

Extremely clean house, very quiet neighborhood, less than 5 miles away from Taco Palenque, Gorditas Doña Tota (homemade gorditas), HEB, Walmart, and more! We had a great time! It was 12 of us and this house was very spacious and the perfect place to stay for our get-together family reunion. Swimming pool, spa, board games, karaoke, full kitchen, wow! It was AWESOME!

It rained so we didn't use the pool. But the kids still enjoyed the covered hot tub. And when not raining, the putting green. Ping Pong was a big hit. Kitchen is well equipped.

San Antonio Family Staycation

My family and I stayed at the property for an extended weekend in San Antonio. The property is in a “less urban” area in SA built around the 50s. The house had plenty of updates but kept much of the original charm. The house was very well-stocked and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed. We spent most of our time in the beautiful backyard. It was a little too chilly in October to swim, but the putting green and ping pong table kept us entertained when we were just hanging out at the house. It was the perfect get-a-way!

Spring in San Antonio

John and Cece have provided a wonderful place to call home while away visiting San Antonio. Thank you both! We found all the bedroom and living spaces ample for our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 teens). The house is well appropriated with plenty of cooking equipment- our youngest even did some baking! The pool and spa were fantastic although our weather did not cooperate for much pool time (just a little cool and rainy). When the rain subsided we were able to spend time drinking coffee and dining al fresco on the backyard patio. The outdoor space is expansive and well maintained. It felt like an oasis in the city. During the rainy cool weather we did enjoy a few hours of family ping pong in the finished garage space! We didn’t have a vehicle for our stay, but that was no problem. It was $20-30/per UberXL to the various places we went. If you had a vehicle there is plenty of driveway parking. John and Cece are also fabulous hosts- greeting us with some treats for our stay, offering help at every turn if needed (but also allowing us our own space)! We would most definitely stay here again!

We wanted a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life and we got it. House is in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sleeping in, catching up on movies and shows, board games and yard games, cooking and baking, and swimming at hot tubbing. No mosquitos! Beautiful weather all weekend. The house was well apportioned - lots of towels, lots of basics in the pantry and fridge, and a wonderful welcome basket full of snacks. 6 kids moved between the bunk bed room and queen bed room with futon. Mom, and mom and dad, claimed the king bed rooms for our retreat spaces. Homeowner came by to tend the pool (falling leaves) and we troubleshot the one minor issue we’d had with some plumbing. Kind people, nice house!

Comfortable house for our family with young children, and the pool was a big hit. They had tons of pool toys, games, etc so we didn’t always have to leave to have fun. Lots of nearby amenities like restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The neighborhood felt very safe. There were a few things in need of maintenance that they were already aware of that were minor and not a big deal, and a few more bothersome things (lots of wasps/hornets in the back, a long metal valence fell off the sliding glass doors but didn’t hurt anyone, and the smoke alarm went off for no reason at 330 am). The owners were very apologetic about everything that was less than perfect. It’s an older house but well-stocked with towels, cooking basics, etc which we appreciated. They also left a nice welcoming basket. I was grateful the main doors to the poor were sturdy sliding glass doors so we didn’t have to worry about our toddler gaining access to the pool. All in all, we’d consider staying again if a few things were maintained better or the price was a bit lower.

Perfect Spot for Family & Memorial

We visited San Antonio for our father's memorial. We wished a place close to Fort Sam Houston Cemetery, downtown, and could fit three families. This spot was perfect! It reminded us all of our grandparents' place from way back when in San Antonio. The pool kept the kiddos busy. The bunkbeds and trundle kept the kiddos corralled for sleeping and it was just an all around great place to spend some family time together. It rained a bunch while we were there so we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities (fire pit, putting green) but it was still a great spot for us all to spend time together, especially to teach some youngsters the finer points of ping pong. The hosts were very responsive to our request for help with the wifi. All in all, a great place to stay. Thank you!!

This is a beautiful home that sleeps 12 comfortably, not including the use of two large sofas. It is in the heart of the city but you would think you were in the suburbs because the neighborhood is so quiet and the lots are so large. Virtually everything in the city is less than 15-20 minutes away. For those aspiring singers, we have installed a professional karaoke system for hours of enjoyment. For anyone who just has to have that warm hydrotherapy in the evenings (or in the mornings), we have installed a 7-person Jacuzzi hot tub to complement the large pool.

A beverage on one of the backyard patios with a meal cooking on the outdoor grill watching your loved ones enjoy the large yard and pool makes it all worth it. Grocery stores are about a mile away in two different directions, movie theaters and mall are less than 5 minutes away. There's something for everyone very close to this home.
