First I need to start off saying I did not buy the insurance, so take the rest of this with that in mind.We were super excited to stay here and celebrate 23 years of marriage. We were booked 22Jan through 24th Jan. On the 21st I grew very concerned about the "ice apocalypse" that was set to hit Texas on the 23rd. All forecasts said more and more likely. I let the manager of this site no. "The roads are clear right now" is the response I got. Of course they are it hasn't hit yet. 21st I contact again to ask if there were any options as the weather service sent out a warning about the now impressing storm and the strong urging to stay off roads. "The roads are clear" I am in North Texas and 6 hr drive under reasonable conditions. I repeated my concerns and they told me I could rebook within 2 weeks on a week day. I am a full time anesthesia provider and told them I can't just take any day off I want. They told me they could not accommodate me. No other offers to do anything for me. I get that they don't actually have to work with me, but there was very little effort or care on their part. The wine tour I booked on the other hand I did not have any insurance and they gave me the option of keeping my deposit and I wouldn't pay the rest or rebook any time in 2026.Had this place at least put some effort into helping me I wouldn't be writing this review at all. Their don't care attitude toward me when I felt unsafe to drive is why they get a 1 star
