Das Hotel liegt an der südwestlichen Ecke einer gepflegten Wohnanlage und bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Sound. Wir kümmern uns sehr gut um die Immobilie und möchten, dass sich unsere Gäste wohlfühlen und sich wie zu Hause fühlen. Ob auf der Südwestterrasse der Unterkunft, am unberührten Strand oder am Pool, in einer von Natur umgebenen Umgebung ist viel Platz, um die Sonne zu genießen.

Lebensmitteleinkäufe und zahlreiche Restaurants sind alle innerhalb von fünf Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar, und OceanAir Sports - ein führendes Wassersportzentrum an den Outer Banks - befindet sich nebenan. Dieses Gebiet ist einer der beliebtesten Orte für Kiteboarding und Windsurfen auf der ganzen Welt, und es ist ebenso für sein Angeln bekannt. Listing is accurate with location and great views, host communicated well. Cleanliness below expectation. communication was bad once they told us we had to mandatory evacuate due to the incoming “hurricane” at which point their was no communication, they failed to adjust the check out date due to the mandatory evacuation cause a loss of refundable monies. Definitely not a usual circumstance but could have been handled better. Charged a substantial cleaning fee but was not in great condition when we arrived.

Girls Trip 2025

The condo was welcoming and accommodating. We welcomed our time at the pleasant pool and enjoyed the water. Close to main attractions We would stay there again. Morning we left we had a dead battery and one of the folks there got up and jumped our car off. What a Godsend and blessing. People living there are awesome.

Great place to stay!

Great location. Overall cleanliness was 5 stars. Only complaint I have was we had 2 rolls of toilet paper, one was half used, so it just seemed like they forgot to restock them. Property manager was really nice and responded quickly to any questions. Check in and check out was easy and was a smooth process. Pool was clean and maintained well. Definitely recommend.

PROS: The apartment was very clean and modern. It had a great view and very close to the beach. Having the option of a pool is very nice. The balcony was a great in the evenings to enjoy the view have a quiet drink. The staff who run the apt was very attentive and quick to respond to our needs.CONS: There are steep sets of stairs to the apartment so if you have knees issues, not a good place. The kitchen has a the bare minimum for cooking. No dish cloths or towels are provided. There is no washer/dryer in the apt so make sure you have quarters for the condo laundromat. Shower and water pressure are very, very low. OVERALL: We enjoyed staying there for our vacation. It was by far the cleanest, most modern place we have stayed in our three trips to OBX over the years. It is much quieter and slower paced than the Kittyhawk / Kill Devil Hills area so if you are looking for a laid back are with great restaurants and less crowded beaches, this is a good place to stay.

Beautiful condo in excellent location

We decided to book this property after reading the large number of positive reviews. Sure enough, the condo was wonderful in all respects. The views of the canal and out to the bay through the large windows in the living area and from the lovely balcony were so lovely. There was plenty of parking right in front of the property. The public beach a short walk across Rt. 12 was very clean and not at all crowded. We loved that the area was peaceful and not crowded while there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. My husband enjoyed two days of fishing from the pier where everything he needed was provided. Our daughter, husband, and two girls under 6 stayed in a nearby house on the ocean side . We found plenty of activities that we enjoyed at times together and at others seperately. The girls had a great time on the beach, at Studio 12 making pottery, and visiting the Aquarium about 45 minutes away. The six days went by too fast, and we're hoping to return for a longer time next year, ideally to the same condo.

Great location & sunsets

Very comfortable unit, facing the water, and beautiful sunsets! Great communication from the owner. We only stayed one night but loved the Avon area and would return again. We also enjoyed the PoHouse restaurant right next door.

2nd week September

Condo was as expected. However lost cell phone and internet for about 12 hours due to a cut cable near Oregon inlet. The next day power went out for about 6 or 7 hours. Not the owner’s fault. The tv was not cable and I had to purchase an App to watch anything. There should have been cable to make it easier to find local tv and football on the Sunday we arrived. We enjoyed our time otherwise.

We had a very nice time. The condo is very nice. Beautiful appliances, clean all around. The sliding door in the living room does not open easily. I ended up using the bedroom door. The large window blind was not operational and I feel that drapes on the sliding door would help the overall temperature in the condo. When we returned each day the room was very warm into the evening and I feel it was due to the lack of a drape. Thank you for a lovely time

Love this location!

This is our second visit to this condo in the last 3 months! Great location - love the view of the sound with the proximity to the beach. Also enjoyed having a wonderful restaurant that we could easily walk to along with a little shopping. We will return!

Overall acceptable acommodations

Nice area but extremely busy and crowded. Nice view from condo of the sound. Cleaning service did good job. We had upstairs neighbor who had residents constantly stomping and running with exception of the night. Recommend allowing guests to control unit temperature to their personal preferences. Temperature was either too cold or too warm. Also TV in Living Room difficult to control access to content. Not easy like Bedroom TV. Thanks for having us as your guests! Mark

Tedrowe Bonner is trained as a sociologist and works globally in the field of regenerative development. He, and his work colleague Marcia Amidon, are currently working in Ukraine and in different parts of the United States. Their work ranges from land-use development through permaculture to consulting with governments on developing sustainable master plans.

Marcia is one of North America’s leading children authors and editors in non-fiction, as well as an accomplished pianist. She works with Tedrowe extensively on writing projects as well as project development for their work in regenerative development.

Tedrowe has been an avid sailor for many years and had a successful racing career. Like any dedicated sailor, he sneaks away for a session of windsurfing or kiting whenever he can; if you see him traveling with a long suitcase, it is probably is sailing gear. Marcia has decided to join this crazy journey, and has experienced the power of water in ways she never thought she would.

The Outer Banks carries a long and storied anthropological and ecological legacy that perhaps few places in America can claim. The oldest European artifacts in North America were found in the Outer Banks, and a thriving civilization of indigenous people lived very successfully for hundreds of years prior to Europeans’ arrival. The Outer Banks remains a vital link in the “Atlantic Flyway” for migratory birds, which speaks to its historical importance of biodiversity. For centuries these barrier islands have served as a critical haven for humans and wildlife.

Like native ancestors who arrived here from mainland tribes, we see this as an important place to vacation. In our modern interpretation, we have come here for years to windsurf and kiteboard, but really many threads remain of what transpired centuries ago. Ultimately, it is the nature and the people that make time here so compelling.

The properties we have selected allow us to blend community and activity as this part of Avon has developed into a hub for water sports enthusiasts. Moreover, we are striving to make vacations convenient, and it is viable to have a great time without ever needing to get in the car. Our rentals strike a great balance by being close to everything that makes a vacation worthwhile, perhaps not so differently than people who lived here a long time ago.

Our units reflect this work the best they can. We have installed some of the most advanced fans and climate control technology to improve indoor air quality and comfort. We have spent numerous working days researching soaps, cleaning products, detergents, and paper products that are good for the environment and for us. We have taken numerous energy and water efficiency measures that actually will improve our guests’ stay.
