Wolf Crossing ist eine kleine Hütte mit 1 Schlafzimmer in Silver Gate, ungefähr 3 km vom Eingang Nordost nach Yellowstone und ungefähr 4,8 km von Cooke City auf dem Highway 212 (National Park Road und Beartooth Highway) entfernt. Eine alte Kabine der grundlegenden Kabine mit einem Wolfthema. Es verfügt über eine Badewanne mit Dusche, ein Queensize-Bett, einen kleinen Kühlschrank, eine Mikrowelle, einen Toaster und eine Kaffeemaschine. Es gibt eine kleine Veranda. WIR HABEN GERADE SATELLITENFERNSEHEN MIT 150 KANÄLEN SOWIE DRAHTLOSES INTERNET FÜR IHR LAPTOP HINZUGEFÜGT.

Es gibt einen Gemischtwarenladen in der Stadt, der zu Fuß erreichbar ist, sowie das Blockhaus-Restaurant und den Sun Dog-Laden. Ein Bergsteigergeschäft ist ebenfalls zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Soda Butte Creek befindet sich auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite, etwa 600 m entfernt. Neben dem Yellowstone National Park sind wir von der Absaroka Wilderness und dem Gallatin National Forest umgeben. Tolle Möglichkeiten zum Jagen, Angeln, Wandern, Langlaufen, Motorschlittenfahren, Kajakfahren und zur Tierbeobachtung. Diese kleine Hütte ist ein ruhiges und einzigartiges Basislager für zahlreiche Outdoor-Aktivitäten. Bitte beachten Sie, dass es sich um eine alte handgefertigte Hütte handelt. Wir haben Baummarder und Füchse, die ständig Mäuse essen. Ich beschuldige ihre Nachlässigkeit, falls welche auftauchen sollten.

We chose this cabin because of the location, and that was great. But the place was pretty marginal. Several problems we encountered were said by the property manager to be because we were the first guests of the season--no working remotes and no hot water initially, haha, so hopefully they won't be problems for others. However, there were still a lot of challenges. Lots of airflow around the door, baseboard heat in the opposite corner of the cabin that needed to be adjusted by crawling under the table in order to turn the knob, headboard not attached to the bed so it wobbled around a bunch, and the mini fridge was somewhat loud at night. The switch on the lamp didn't work, so you had to unplug it at the bottom to turn it off. The pictures in the listing weren't actually of the Druid cabin. Isn't it reasonable to expect the host to use accurate photos? In the Druid, the table is not under the window as shown, but was tucked into the dimly lit rear corner. The cabin was quite small, with barely enough room to get past the table to the side of the bed. Also, the exterior photo for the listing does not show the enormous two story add-on cabin behind the Druid. Altogether, there are 2 cabin structures there with 2 units each quite close together. We had no problems with noise though. Overall, Silver Gate has very few options for lodging, so prices are steep and this is probably priced reasonably. My photos show bed stripped, as requested, just before leaving.

Great stay outside of Yellowstone! The property manager was very responsive. This is such a quaint getaway. We also saw a lot of wildlife in the area!

The only thing that kept me from giving all of it a five-star was the name of the cabin door. I was looking for Druids and found Slough. After a 5-minute debate we decided it was the right cabin because of the description of the vertical outside Timbers.

Cozy Cabin

We were very happy with the cozy little cabin. It’s tucked away but with amenities nearby. The Yellowstone entrance is just a stone’s throw away. This cabin is for people looking to unplug and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer! Thank you for a most pleasant stay and experience.

Perfect location!

This little cabin was in an ideal location for visiting Yellowstone and seeing lots of wildlife. If you plan to have meals, keep them very simple as there is only a microwave for cooking, and the stores nearby have limited stock and are very expensive. If you just need a place to sleep it is a wonderful and less expensive alternative to staying at the park lodges or hotels at the busier locations (west and north gates).

The cabin identification was inaccurate. The description was correct, but the name was wrong. It also failed to mention that it was connected to another cabin which took away the privacy because you could hear everything going on in the other cabin. (See photo below)

We loved this little cabin

The cabin was perfect for two people. Great location close to the NE entrance of Yellowstone. On site manager was friendly and very helpful. We saw tons of wildlife on and near the property. The cabin had all amenities to make us feel at home - phone, internet, tv, fridge and microwave, coffee maker. We look forward to returning in the future.

Rustic Bliss

Immaculate old log cabin, not big enough for a family but two fit very comfortably. Cozy, warm and private. Well stocked and appointed with microwave, coffee pot, tv, heater, flush toilet, shower, refrigerator and wifi. We loved our stay here and the attendant explained the cabin was over 100 years old.

Virtually no sound barrier between next room. Cabin name was mislabeled. Dirty room and bed spread and blanket. Difficult access to outlets. Mouse trapped in trap. Larger gritter scratching and gnawing bottem of floor from under the cabin fro 3:00 AM until I stated moving in the AM. Sign identifying the VRBO. sign was very hard to see and covered by a flag which made it impossible to find the driveway. Site manager was pleasant but was residing in the cabin I was assuming genes to. She said the names of the cabins had changed.

Most was good.

Location ideal. Bed ideal and the price was competitive. Shower water temp was very difficult to regulate. I would have liked a few more outlets. One on both sides of bed and one at the table. Lighting could be improved as well.

Good little cabin so close to north east entrance to Yellowstone

This is as advertised a rustic cabin close to the entrance to Yellowstone. Good bed and all you need. Our only deal is how close to the road it is, just a few feet. So our idea of chilling on the porch, which we did, was not what we expected. A stack of tires hampered the environment too. So good place, too close to noisy highway for us and a little effort on the surroundings would make it a much better stay.

Never Again

Worst rental experience ever. The property is poorly marked and very difficult to find. Parking was horrendous. The cabin was dirty, lighting was inadequate, the microwave barely worked, and the check-in was essentially non-existent. I am dependent on a CPAP, and the power went out while I was asleep and again in the evening of the same day. No power and no water made any further stay untenable. I left early, and got a seemingly automatic denial of partial refund. Will be sharing this with everyone I can.

The property was advertised as a stand alone, small cabin. In reality that stand alone, small cabin had a two story addition built onto it. There were guests staying in the other unit. The door between the unit had gaps where light came through and there was no sound insulation between them. So the property was not as advertised. The cabin was more or less clean where it mattered...though the porches and around the front had debris strewn about and were not swept or orderly. There was a coffee maker with filters and non-dairy creamer but NO COFFEE. Since this cabin was isolated, it was not convenient to drive to find coffee at 6 AM. Very disappointing. The little fridge did work nicely and the shower was nice and hot. I would stay there again only if I was assured there would be no guests in the other unit and I would be prepared with my own coffee.

The photos shown for the wolf cabin on the Vrbo sight are not of the same cabin. Under the amenities it says the cabin had a stove… no stove anywhere. When I inquired, the owner told us that he could have a hot plate brought over (looked like it was a fire hazard) also even if we were to use it there was no pan! The owner said that because of a lack of ventilation a stove could not be used, so that is why there isn’t one??? Also the way this cabin is put together especially the wiring, is not up to code in our opinion and appears to be a fire hazard. One good thing is that the wifi worked well. Sarah, one of the house cleaners stopped by late to check on us ( she needs a raise!), she agreed that the photos did not look like the same cabin and suggested for us to move to the cabin behind (wapiti), so we did and it was very clean and nice. Glenn the owner seemed to believe that we thought we rented the wapiti cabin and the answer to that was is no, we were expecting the cabin in the photos!
