Beautiful location, clean condo and nicely stocked. No air conditioning so can get a bit noisy at night with windows open, but box fans helped. Did see a few roaches in the kitchen and bathrooms. Hot water is lukewarm in the bathrooms. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Family Place

This was our second time to Hololani. My husband and I came with my parents, my daughter and now fiancé since he proposed in Maui. The condo had a fabulous view that was better than the pictures online. The condo had everything we needed to cook great food along with the super clean barbecues down by the pool. Amenities are all excellent. The price is right , you can utilize everything you need from the kitchen, living room to the bedroom. The location is what we want most, overlooking the ocean, hearing the waves like sweet music and smelling the fresh clean air. We enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend your unit. Beautiful view, access to beach … and that’s it.

We picked this condo for its stunning ocean view and beach access. Those did not disappoint at all. And Vacasa seemed responsive when we messaged them. However, the building itself seems poorly maintained (a sign in the elevator rather ominously contains detailed instructions for being trapped inside), and it is LOUD. You can hear everything, everywhere in the complex above a conversational level (even splashing in the pool). And our last night saw the addition of a pretty sizable cockroach.

Great stay for our family

The unit was great - it was big enough for us and our kids. The view is amazing with a large lanai. The unit does not have AC so it would tend to get a bit warm. The ceiling fans were helpful but the standing fans need to be replaced. A full size broom would’ve been nice to sweep up any sand that gets in the condo and beach chairs (which are common in other condos we’ve stayed at).

Great, except one thing

This unit is wonderful, everything was great, except the only problem I had was that they have NO BEACH CHAIRS to use. I have never stayed at a condo in Hawaii (and we come yearly for the past several years) that didn’t have beach chairs. The Hololani units are in a wonderful location. I will just stay in a different unit next time beacause I need beach chairs and prefer not to have to buy them for a weeks use.

This place is great - the perfect place to stay! So comfortable and so peaceful. Everything you need for a great vacation. I wish there had been beach chairs to use but it did not stop us from having the best time.

The property was very nice. Loved watching the whales and dolphins from the lanai! The only two things that could have been better were small. The fry pan needs replaced and there were no coffee filters. We always bring our own coffee and did bring a few cone filters but ran out. The view was amazing!

Beautiful View- Nice Condo

Well stocked Condo with a beautiful view. The condo was quiet and well kept. The only downside- was extremely tiny parking space (don’t rent a van...)and not having immediate beach access. There is beach access about 5 minutes away or you just drive to one of Maui’s many beaches. I would recommend this condo to any body looking for relaxation and space.

Perfect location!!

This condo was perfect for us! The lanai is facing the ocean. We sat there in the morning for coffee and at night for the sunset. We fell asleep to the lull of the ocean and the breeze coming in the doors. It is centrally located to everything you need. I would highly recommend this condo. Aloha 🌴

Great location

This condo was perfect for my family! We stayed for two weeks and this place had everything we needed. We left the doors open and slept with the sound of the ocean crashing on the shore. With the constant breeze coming in, you don’t need air conditioning. It’s centrally located from stores and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. Aloha 🌴

I'd like to start with I wish I didn't have to write this review but I'd like to help other travelers make an informed decision. I will start with what was good. The kitchen was clean, stocked and nicely remodeled. The view, it doesn't get much better. Upon checking in the temperature read 90 degrees (there was a thermometer/clock in the kitchen). We began searching for the AC unit and it quickly realized there was not one. I am willing to admit I did not check if there was one or not before booking and made the mistake of assuming. I've been visiting Hawaii for some time and have stayed in all kinds of vacation accommodations and have never not had an AC until now. We opened all the windows to get the air moving but in never fell below 83 degrees our entire stay. It made for a miserable time, we couldn't sleep because it was so hot. Also the beds did not help, they were old and springy and very stained. The linens were worn as well with pilling everywhere, the pillows were lumpy. The laminate on the furnishings were peeling and chipping off probably due to the extended times of heat and humidity. All in all we didn't feel like we were getting $220 a night accommodations. The worst part was when the buildings parking lot all of a sudden started getting paved. For two mornings of our trip all we heard was construction and the stench of hot asphalt filling the condo. We couldn't shut the windows for fear the temperature would reach 90 degrees again. In the end between the unbearable heat, the not so nice beds and the construction we left half way through our stay to find other accommodations else where. Vacasa offered one nights reimbursement (we were booked for 10 and left after 5) if I agreed to fill out a form stating I wouldn't write a bad review. So yeah never again Hololani or Vacasa.

We apologize that the home did not suit your needs or tastes, but the online photos and virtual tour of this listing are up to date, and the home is well maintained for comfort, safety, and cleanliness. While we understand the disappointment of the parking lot being repaved, it was necessary maintenance performed by the condo association that did regretfully coincide with your stay. The underground parking garage was available for guest use, and we do apologize for any inconvenience.
