In all my years of renting units, and I have multiple I have never encountered anything or any situation quite like this. This woman tried to cancel three days before she arrived and asked for a full refund, after the year and a half that we’ve had obviously we cannot cancel a 20 day reservation three days in advance. She kept pressing me so I did something I’ve never done before which was allow her to sublet the time to someone if she could find someone to fill it. She did so and let these women into the unit without collecting money from them. She didn’t put the ownership on my property managers to collect the money and accuse them of stealing the money. She wrote me messages during the middle of my workday that said “ there are thieves in your unit“ And asked me to call her right away. After speaking to her and her accusing my property management people of stealing the customers money, the reality is the girls didn’t pay her and tried to bribe my property management people to let them stay by the pool for the day. The whole situation was borderline criminal and very unnerving. I called Vrbo and made a full report on what happened because I was honestly worried for the safety of the unit and the people that work for me. Her review is anything but the truth is anyone who can read can see. After filing the report with Vrbo the reservation was canceled as all of the messages back-and-forth with her are obviously in our message feed and were read by the people from Vrbo. Making physical threats and saying things like “this isn’t over yet I guarantee it.” I learn something from this whole situation, at least they took something from the whole experience
