Such a beautiful house and so many adventures--perfect!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We so enjoyed our stay at this property. This is only our second time to stay at an Airbnb, and Chalet Sarlat was so perfect and met all our needs. We rented this chalet at we wanted a larger house that would have enough room for our kids and our grandkiddos, and we wanted to be close to fun activities. The kitchen was so well stocked with pots and pans, silverware, glassware, spices, and many other items. We did most our cooking at the chalet, and so enjoyed the table on the deck and spent most evenings out there. The hot tub was really nice, and the colored lighting was a bit hit with our grandkids. Riding the bikes that were available at the chalet was lots of fun and Fort Rock Park was a favorite with our grandkids. We also liked the location of the chalet as it is close to many of the lakes in the area. We had a lovely day at Cultus Lake swimming and hanging out with our family. We would definitely stay here again--thanks so much for sharing your home! Bob and Nancy

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived at night and were having a little trouble locating the home. We called the after hours number for a little help. They told us to look for the Blue house with the manicured front lawn. Useless information In the dark with 18" of snow on the ground. We finally located the home and had to use flashlight to get to the front door due to multiple outside light bulbs being burnt out. There were holes in the walls from door handles, broken furniture, etc. This house needs to have some maintenance done inside and out! Overall for the $$$$ spent we were expecting more.....

Could have been perfect

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were so excited to get away and just relax in the hot tub and sit in front of the fireplace and the first thing was the hot tub didn't work then as my luck goes the fireplace would not light then the jacuzzi tub is broken. The lower bedroom that goes out to the tub has no blinds for privacy same in the kitchen. We couldn't get the downstairs to warm up but upstairs was hot. We called around 5pm on check in night and left a message and not return call by 10am so called back. Office was very polite and sent someone to fix hot tub and later they fixed to fireplace but no luck on the jacuzzi tub? The hot tub took all day to get warm. But we did enjoy the one night that it dad work before we left.the furniture is very old and the recliner and 1 chair are broken. Very neat house and very quiet but very worn and not maintained very well. This home could be great but it needs some furnishings that works and are safe and makes sure that the amenities all works or at least list that they don't. Some huge windows in the living room very dirty and closet door off hinges the blind are dirty and don't work well. We did enjoy our stay but very disappointed in the overall condition and hassles just to do what we came to do. Relax. The wife never got to use them jacuzzi tub so I still hear about that. I would definitely stay at sunriver again but I would ask a lot of questions before we arrived so our stay would be event free.this has stairs a lot of stairs stairs everywhere did I mention that the are stairs but that's my bed for picking this type of house with bad knees and sore back. Could be a great hoise again with some love and cash.sunriver is very pretty and office people very polite.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pleasant experience overall Kitchen not well appointed, only S&P not even oil, no barware. All showers slow to drain. Deck post fell and not usable even after post replaced. Hot tub filthy and not filled.

Comfortable home with a yard

Enjoyed the yard in the nice weather. The only disappointing element was the deck furniture - most of the chairs were broken and the table was small and rusted.

Comfortable, large house.

We found this house to be very comfortable for two couples. Friends joined us for a few days and used one of the bed and bath suites on the lower level. Kitchen was well equipped despite previous reviews. Living and dining areas are spacious. Nice private hot tub.

excellent property managers. Could use a few more items like placemats, blinds need repairing, refrigerator needs some work but worked. Above average rental property but dated. Address was different on house so spent a long time locating it. Would rent again!

Unexpected Problems

This was a lovely if dated home. Kids enjoyed the room to spread out. As others have stated, the refrigerator is old and does not cool well. No food was ruined but ice pops didn't stay frozen either. There are a lot of doors and you need to be sure to lock all of them to secure the house and your belongings. The side door knob out from the garage needs to be replaced in order to lock easily. Unfortunately we discovered water damage which got worse in the downstairs room off the hot tub. It turned out to be a plumbing leak connected to the dishwasher such that major repairs needed to be undertaken, probably first needing approval of the owner to commence. The property managers were very nice about putting us into another house, the only place they had available. They were a little hard to communicate with about coming out to assess the damage as they refused to leave messages if I was not able to answer my phone. We also lost half a day in the middle of the stay having to be available for the technicians as well as pack up and move houses. No one checked on us after the move, nor offered to compensate us for the trouble, perhaps with a credit towards a future stay. The replacement house was smaller, farther north but otherwise had all the features of the original rental EXCEPT air conditioning which could have been a problem if it had gotten much hotter. Like I said, the sub zero fridge in this original house needs to be replaced. We determined that for sure once we put our food in the refrigerator in the new house which worked so much better right away.

Sunriver Getaway - great house unless stairs are an issue

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house .... overall. Had some issues with the older sub zero fridge not getting very cold . I should’ve called but we were busy having fun :/. Fridge instructions specifically said allow 24 hours for temp to stabilize and not turn above 5 . Well next am was colder but we ended up throwing out about $80 worth of salmon and steak due to the fridge . The management company Sunriver village properties were AMAZING , very responsive and even refunded us . I called ahead to get an inventory of the house ( not listed on VBRO ) House has a great GRASS backyard and great sized House was perfect for 2 families 4 adults 4 kids and a baby Pros: Hot tub , great living room/kitchen 2 master baths and AC !!! HUGE pantry which was amazing !!! Master BED /closet HUGE Cons :Master bed has HUGE skylight right over bed - so bring a sleep mask or prepare to wake with the sun. Pantry very poorly stocked in general . House stocked with S/P. Very sparse utensils .... no griddle or waffle maker. Only 1 large bowl ... large pots /pans didn’t have lids . It was fine and we brought our own Tupperware etc .- We happen to stay during our friends anniversary so we brought expensive champagne ..... only to find only 2 actual wine glasses ..... and a third fancy stem juice glass. Just was surprising considering how many people the house fits . Not a deal breaker .... but would recommend to owners/rental company to have an actual inventory list . I personally brought a rice cooker which was necessary as the largest pot to cook rice in didn’t have a lid. BBQ was great but lacked appropriate tools so we used kitchen utensils with toddler sized tongs ..... couldn’t use spatula as it was plastic . We did come with a crawling baby .... we just laid chairs down sizeways to keep baby safe . If you had a toddler you would not have a relaxing visit unless your baby never went towards the huge extra wi

Great Family House Getaway

Our family of 5 had an amazing time at this house! The layout and having 3 master bedrooms with their own bathrooms was extremely nice. We especially loved the hot tub, large deck, grass/landscaped backyard and the overall space of the house. The kids could get some space from one another if needed and so could the parents. We've been coming to Sunriver since the mid 80's and this might actually be the first house we've ever stayed in that had air conditioning. We didn't use it much, but when temps got up in the 80's it definitely help keep upstairs nice and cool.

Great house and location

This home was very comfortable, clean and well stocked for our family needs. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and this worked well. Nice for everyone to have their own space and not having to share. Best stocked kitchen ever, had all our needs and more. Just needs a few more movies to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.
