Dies ist ein luxuriöses spanisches Kolonialhaus, das ursprünglich 1782 erbaut und jetzt mit allen modernen Annehmlichkeiten komplett restauriert wurde. Das Anwesen verfügt über Vollzeitmitarbeiter, WLAN und heißes Wasser in allen Bädern. Jeden Morgen wird ein Frühstück serviert.

Es gibt vier Schlafzimmer in der Eigenschaft. Das Hauptschlafzimmer befindet sich im ersten Stock. Es gibt drei Schlafzimmer im zweiten Stock. Der Pool befindet sich im Dach.

Retreat in the heart of it all

Loved the property. Communication was great. The rooftop was a great place to just hang out and relax. Then you could step right out the front door into the heart of Getsemaní. The folks at the house were wonderful, with breakfast and guidance. Would definitely recommend and rebook.

Amazing Place

I would travel back to Cartagena just to stay at this property again. It is amazing, close to everything, and situated in an authentic part of the city (no Western fast food restaurants and hotels), a true Cartagena neighborhood with authentic food, people, art, lounges, etc. The home is beautiful, large and the staff is amazing. Place was exctly like described. Worked perfectly for our group of 4. We were initally not sure about having a staff there 24 hours a day, but it was awsome! Vibrant location in a historical home.

Beautiful place in a perfect location. You will get the full Cartagena experience. We loved the location as its close to shops, restaurants and just about everything. It is however in the middle of the city so you have to be ok with a bit of noise. The pool looks bigger in the pictures yet we very much enjoyed it. The caretakers are lovely, polite and helpful. It was a marvelous experience and we would highly recommend it.

Great experience

Stayed at the property for a few days with friends for a get together. Had a great overall experience. Carlos made sure all our questions were answered and provided great input regarding hidden gems in the area. The staff was amazing and very attentive to any needs. No complaints whatsoever. Felt safe with a staff member available at all times. The location was a little tricky as the cab dropped off at the main square and had to navigate myself from there but the property was just steps away.. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend

Beautiful property, friendly staff, may be difficult if you have mobility issues

The location, property, staff, and host were all wonderful. I would highly recommend this rental for most people! However, if you have an trouble with stairs, the stairs are a bit hard to climb and there is no hand railing. The stairs are a little difficult to navigate for me (I have some mobility issues). I think this may be common in many Cartagena properties, but I just want to flag it for others!

A very special trip ...

My stay at Carlos home was remarkable. My friends and I were blown away by this gorgeous home. Every part of this house was carefully curated, restored or preserved. The location was perfect as we were able to walk around with ease and never needed a taxi. The staff were unbelievable and very patient with us. Everyone felt like family and friends. Every meal they prepared was delicious. We also felt extremely safe. We felt like royalty! They were so thoughtful and compassionate and went above and beyond --- even when we didn't ask for anything. I've been telling everyone about my trip and most importantly Casa el Carretero. I would definitely visit Colombia again and I wouldn't hesitate to book with Carlos. Thank you for making my birthday so very special with your beautiful home and staff. Muchos Gracias!

Rare occasion where house is even better than the listing

I stayed here with 7 friends for a bachelor party and we all were shocked at how amazing the place was. The beautiful colonial architecture, the giant palm tree growing through the middle of the house, the insane views from the rooftop pool, prime location to everything in Getsemani. What impressed us most was the staff. Selina, the attentive house manager, took me to get groceries when I arrived, knowing all the best spots, had an ability to get prices this American wasn't getting on his own. She made us fruit bowls, guacamole, and cooked up the fish we caught. She helped us track down items we needed and could provide recommendations or contacts for everything. While we partied on the rooftop, enjoying the pool, Selina cleaned up after us. She made our stay feel special.The night attendant, John, also took good care of the house and made us feel extremely safe. The scammers on the streets of Getsemani got a little too attached to one of my friends and John made sure he knew to stay away and not bother anyone in this house. We slept better knowing he was downstairs. Absolute legend.

Excellent stay and service

This was a friend getaway vacation. Excellent staff, Issa, Rosoria, and Julio were amazing staff and took care off all of our requests and concerns. The hotel pool was amazing, not big but just the right size for about 5 or so people to enjoy themselves and we did for sure. Would stay again.

The place is exactly as you will see in the pictures the staff was amazing not 1 single complaint they are amazing the house is a little dated but that didn’t matter the location is beautiful the only complaint we had was the java room is very small it rained one night and the java room ceiling leaked it was hitting the fan and the room was like a shower they washed all my friends clothes and gave him a room in the next door hotel which was beautiful I believe it was called the San Anna they they moved my friend back a little inconvenience but not enough to ruin the trip I would recommend this place and like I said the staff was amazing
