The property was located at a perfect spot for kids playing. There were lots of towels available, would not need to bring any extra towels. Tammy was also very responsive host.

The home was thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable stay, with a ton of space for a big family and well-stocked coffee, kitchen staples, and a generally homey decor throughout the space. Instructions for how to clean out and pack up were clear and easy to follow and checking in and out was a breeze. This host was strong in the areas of communication, thoughtfulness, and the overall creation of a fun, welcoming space, with helpful signs and notes around the house to label things clearly and good response time when we had questions.***However, were a bit depressed to find that the ensuite bathroom extraction fan and the other bathroom extraction fan on the main floor did not work at all, resulting in some ... bathroom awkwardness.We also found that the towels smelled very musty/mushroomy when wet, as if they had not been cleaned thoroughly enough, requiring vinegar/oxyclean in the wash procedure or perhaps higher heat. Towels have a proclivity for fungal odors and are difficult to clean once that sets in but in a VRBO, it is a really important thing to figure out, from both a hopsitality and a sanitation perspective. It is solely on account of the towels, and the bathroom fan that we could not quite give a five star review.

Great location but in of upkeep inside and out. Adequate supply of blankets, utensils. Seating for dining was inadequate. Fridge shelves from the door. Coffee making machines were great.Parking was a pain, being limited to four vehicles when advertising room for 17 people.

Awesome waterfront property! Comfy & spacious. Immaculately clean & proudly cared for. Check-in was a breeze and host is available during stay. Best stocked chef's kitchen (utensils, pots, pans, platters, fruit juicer!, electric griddle, clean bbq, etc) we've ever vrbo'd. Closet FULL of extra towels, linens, etc and TONS of firewood. And the sandy beach - direct view and access - stunning sunsets. Located on peaceful Jarvis Bay, a stroll away from the hubbub of the 'main' beach, if you enjoy a more vibrant nightlife. Really can't say enough! Excellent property for families/larger groups. Will def return!

The house is in an excellent location right across the road from the beach. It’s an excellent spot for small children as the water is very shallow. Close 5 minute drive to restaurants and other attractions.

Family Gathering

We rented this property to stay at during a family wedding that was being held locally. It was the perfect size for our group. The multiple bedroom spaces, the outdoor space and location was perfect for the whole family. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Perfect Vacation on the Lake

We had a fabulous vacation in Sylvan Lake. The host was fantastic and very responsive and accommodating. What a perfect location and the home was wonderfully set up for a large family or for a large group. Absolutely amazing property with superb location with beach across the street and so well equipped

Great Location Beautiful View

Sylvan Lake beachfront stay

Awesome home to gather with family and friends and enjoy time together by the lake. Lots of space, comfortable, home away from home. Patio overlooking lake makes for beautiful views, day and night. Absolutely perfect accommodations!

We very much enjoyed staying at the house at Jarvis Bay! The view of the lake is stunning and access to the beach is just across the street. Easy for carrying the paddleboard and chairs to sit and enjoy! We have already booked for 2021 as we wanted to make sure we could stay again! My entire family LOVES it! That says it all!!

We enjoyed our 3rd stay for a week this time. It is a fabulous location and spacious home. It would be nice to have air conditioning but thankfully a few evenings cooled down because of late evening rain.

Unfortuantely, because the home is a West Coast Contempory design, it was built with in floor heating in order to take advantage of the vaulted ceilings and multiple floors. We do not have ducting for a regular AC unit, however, we have been in the queue for a new minisplit syatem since last fall. We hope to be able to have that installed by next year!! Awesome Birthday Celebration

This was our second stay here, and everything was perfect. Able to accommodate our whole family. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Just a perfect week right in front of the beach for easy access. So close to beach, easy to walk back and forth to house for any needs. Highly recommend for some down time, and just relaxing.
