Wunderschöne Villa im venezianischen Stil, voller Charme (klassifiziertes, mit drei Sternen ausgestattetes Touristenhaus), mit Swimmingpool, drei Schlafzimmern, zwei Badezimmern, im Herzen von Villefranche sur Mer gelegen, unverbauter Blick auf die Stadt mit Blick auf das Meer, 5 min bis Fuß von den Geschäften und 10 Minuten von den Stränden entfernt.

Ein schönes Wohn- / Esszimmer führt auf eine große Terrasse, die an den sicheren Pool angrenzt.
Eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Zugang zu den Gartenmöbeln und amerikanischem Grill.
Im Obergeschoss ein großes Schlafzimmer mit einem 160 cm breiten Bett, ein zweites Schlafzimmer mit einem 140 cm breiten Bett, ein drittes Schlafzimmer mit zwei 90 cm breiten Betten, Badezimmer mit ebenerdiger Dusche. Zwei der Schlafzimmer öffnen sich auf einen Balkon mit einer elektrischen Jalousie und Blick auf den Pool.

Amazing location and vicinity to the village. We loved the pool and outdoor space. Julie was extremely helpful throughout our stay and very quick to respond. Wonderful week

Having been to Villefranche many times we chose this villa because of the perfect location for shops, public transport and easy walk to the Old Town. The villa was clean and airy, plenty of room for the 6 of us. We all enjoyed the pool and sun terrace which caught the sun most of the day.We had a wonderful week

Overall, the stay was great and we had a lovely week at the villa. The location is perfect, just slightly set back from the sea, but only a 10 minute walk from the town. Great stay and would definitely return.

Lovely House and location.

Beautifully presented traditional French property. Pool is a good size but did lose the sun from 3-3.30pm. Located on the corner of an uphill road which means there is some traffic noise. Excellent position for accessing the lovely town of Villefranche-sur-Mer and the vast quantity of restaurants on foot. Train station very easy to access and use. Nice very close by road, along with a larger supermarket. Good mini supermarkets in Villefranche along with multiple boulangeries. Would recommend and will definitely come back.

Wonderful spring break

We had a truly amazing stay at the villa and fell in love with Villefranche-sur-Mer. The villa just as described, very clean and beautifully furnished, making our time there really relaxing. We had a very nice time in this really beautiful house, very close to the old town and the Mediterranean! The house handover went perfectly and we got great tips for things to do! The children especially enjoyed the pool, of course!

Authentic stay in Villefranche

The house is actually nicer than the pictures. We had two older couples and having a parking space was ideal. It’s an older home, and we had an issue with hot water, and it was attended to promptly. As with most rental homes, the house is not ready til 4. Taking an overnight flight from Montreal and not being able to have access To a bed til 4 is very difficult with an 81 year old husband.

Lovely location

Large comfortable house with wonderful location. Utilized the adjoining parking spot-a treasure as street parking was difficult. Julie checked us in and very helpful. Pool was Delightful and very appreciated with summer heat. Air conditioning worked well. Pool/grounds well maintained and Groundskeeper came twice a week and was Very nice. Will not hesitate to return for another stay in the future.

We had a great week-long stay at this beautiful villa in Villefranche Sur Mer.It was clean, has very good facilities (air conditioning throughout, 2 bathrooms and a W/C, ample space with a lounge, it's own pool, a parking space, etc, etc), and is well located, with shops, a couple of bakeries and eateries within a few minutes walk and a beach, more shops and restaurants within ten minutes walk (albeit it is hilly and the walk back is all up-hill).There was great communication from Kenneth the property owner and Julie who does the handover. She and her mother also gave some very helpful advice of where to go and what to do.The only minor annoyances were that the boiler regularly needed resetting (otherwise there was no hot water) and there was a lot of debris (leaves and dead flowers) from the trees in the garden that ended up in the pool. There was a net to fish this out with, but it had no pole, so you couldn't get the stuff off the bottom. I think these issues especially stuck out as everything else was so well considered and this was otherwise a great place to stay.

Absolute gem in Villefranche sur Mer

Great property and convenient location. Car not required as can walk to shops, bars, restaurants and railway station. Steep walk back to property so you get fit as well. Pool is amazing and needed for a cool down even in May. House has everything you need, very comfortable and spacious. Awesome shower. BBQ great. Julie very friendly and helpful and on hand when you need help/advice. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you

Lovely house

We were 5 adults in the house in Villefranche. The house was perfect for us. Kitchen was Well equipped. Very nice bathroom upstairs and another bathroom downstairs. Extra toilet on the groundfloor. Great bedrooms. Nice and cool in the house. Cosy terrasse and poolarea. Seaview. We loved the house and grounds and highly recommend a stay there. You should be aware, though, that the house is situated in a street with some traffic during the day.

Great house & pool in lovely Villefranche-sur-Mer

We booked this property for the second half of our French holiday ( family of 5 including 3 teenage children). We were delighted with our choice of property & location. Villefranche is idyllic- so much nicer than it’s close neighbor Nice, whilst still being ideally placed to explore the rest of the Riveria if desired ( which we did). The house and pool were better in reality than as described . The detail, attention & pride the owners have in their property is clearly evident. This is a well equipped and well looked after house & pool. The air con is fantastic after a hot day. Communications with Ken were straightforward throughout the process. Thank you Ken & your lovely wife for all your help. The on-site team of Julie, her lovely mum & Patrick the pool man were super to deal with & very kind to us. We would highly recommend this charming property & excellent location!

Wonderful City Centre Villa

The villa is a beautiful example of a French city villa. Located on a fairly busy road this villa has amazing access to Villefranche Sur Mer. The bedrooms and main bathroom are located on the top floor with beautiful high ceilings and cool stone floors. The bathroom has been recently refurbished and has the best shower with lots of piping hot water! The lounge, dining room and kitchen are on the ground floor with direct access to the patio area and pool. Pool would benefit from heating as it was a bit cold for our liking but was incredibly clean and the pool and gardens are attended to mid-week. Julie met us on arrival and spent time telling us about everything. She has some great ideas for restaurant's in the area and even some in Nice. The villa was incredibly clean on arrival which made us feel at home straight away. The location of the villa and also the surrounding area means that there is a lot of steep hills and steps? We certainly came back fitter than when we left. To sum it up, this is an amazing villa in a beautiful central location. Thank you to Julie & Ken for an amazing vacation.

Just Like it Says on the Tin! "Beautiful Villa in the heart of Villefrance-sur-Mer"

Our family's first experience of booking through a third party website. It was stellar! I've sometimes read reviews (this is my first online review ever) saying 'If you're on-the-fence/undecided, don't be, book this (property), you won't regret it!'. Well, this IS the property to book! Ken, the owner, is incredible - polite, responsive, efficient, factual, 'beyond' helpful, & a real gentleman. Communication with Ken was easy, no stress. I only wish that we had found Ken & his incredible home, years ago! On arrival, we were met by the lovely Julie, waving at us happily from one of the two upstairs balconies! Superb English-speaker; guided us in the parking spot; very welcoming to each & every one of us (6); comprehensive tour of Ken's home; provided tips for the locality & the location of the nearest convenience store. On Ken's home - spotless clean, every nook & cranny! Towels x 2 (shower/hand) each; beach towel each. There is actually 'even' a beach umbrella! A Weber BBQ - which is a top-of-the-range brand (we have the same one), although we didn't use it here, it's a great touch; Double rooms are big, with lots of storage; Twin room ideal for teens to chat & perfect for 2 adults too; Pool heated & has such a nice mural behind it - maintained during the week by another gentleman, which was communicated & another great touch; Internet super; Kitchen supplied with every gadget imaginable! Train is close - enjoyed discovering different routes to it, about 6. Enjoy!

Unwelcome Guests?

Although the villa undoubtedly has some charm, is well equipped and has a decent, if rather overlooked, pool, it needs updating particularly in the kitchen and the basement bathroom which we didn’t use because of the musty smell. The property is effectively on a hairpin bend and therefore has a road to the front and rear which made it noisy, day and night. In addition, although the external perimeter is secure, because the windows are single glazed and the patio doors effectively don’t lock, we felt that we had to close the shutters on both doors and windows and block them with metal rods provided, whenever we went out for the day and at night. As this was a tedious task involving moving furniture, we left them barred most of the time. The patio area was overrun with ants (crawling and flying) which also made their way onto the sunbeds - it took two cans of ant spray to make the patio usable. Although not mentioned when booking and handing over the non-refundable deposit, there is a significant cleaning charge or, if you don’t want to pay, then you are offered the option of spending 3 hours before checking out (between 08:00 and 10:00) cleaning the apartment before you leave! We felt that this charge should have been made clear upfront before paying the deposit and not in a separate contract (in French), which turned up weeks later. Having signed it, this apparently releases HomeAway from any obligation to argue the point on your behalf! Finally, there are two pages of “house rules” and three densely typed pages of inventory (in French), which is your responsibility to check on arrival and which suggest that the owner has little or no trust in his guests to make good any breakages. When added to the “hidden charges”, the effect was to make us feel like unwelcome guests and the whole experience left a bitter taste which could have been prevented by the owner managing the process in a more open and trusting way.
