The apartment was very nice and spacious. Very close to the beach, lagoon and some amazing shops. The hotel did experience a power outage for 8 hours due to an electrical fire. The management was not helpful. I also would hope the bathtub/shower will be cleaner for the next visitors. I understand these are management issues and out of the hands of the owner.

Housekeeping has been instructed by me to keep the floor of the tub scrubbed and clean. I'm sorry that it was not clean enough for you :-( I am passing your comments on to our management company as the issues that you share are management issues. I learned of the electrical outing from our manager today. I hope it wasn't an inconvenience for you. However, I'm not sure what you mean about them not being helpful. Your 4/5 rating equals an 80% -- it is a VRBO negative for our standing. However, without your review, I would not be able to address the bathtub issue, and it certainly is not acceptable to me either! Mahalo, Gloria

Great location. Convenient stores down in the lobby. Walking distance to Aloa Moana shopping centre. Top tip: Purchase a Pink Trolley pass and have transport into Waikiki and shopping centres. A bus stop out the front of Ilakai!

Suzanne, thanks for your review, however, I'm not sure I know what you mean by "definitely in need of an update." We have purchased new bedroom and living room furniture, new flooring throughout, a beautiful wood sliding room divider, new kitchen appliances, and new split air conditioning units all in the past couple of years. Perhaps you meant bathrooms and/or window treatments - I could agree with that since they were upgraded and replaced about 7 or 8 years ago. Our goal has always been to provide a clean, comfortable, affordable, and homey Hawaiian-themed condo for our guests -- a relaxing home away from home where guests are not fearful of spills or damage to the property. Everything was wonderful! The condo had everything we needed for our 12 day stay. The kitchen was well equipped as were the linen closets. A laundry room was close by if needed. The furniture was comfortable and beautiful. The lanai views were fabulous! facing the ocean , lagoon, and marina. We often sat out there drinking our morning coffee and watching surfers, para-sailors, and sailboats go by. Bus stops were within easy walking distance if you haven't rented a car. The decor was beautiful and appropriate for Hawaiian life. The two bedrooms were a nice benefit for us and our son and daughter-in-law who came with us. This was so much better than renting 2 hotel rooms!We highly recommend this beautiful this lovely property.

This is a great condo! Great location near the lagoon. Beautiful views of the city from one lanai and beautiful views of ocean and lagoon from other lanai. Nice location with everything you need nearby. Well stocked kitchen. Clean condo. We have stayed here several times. I would stay here next time we visit!

We had a short stay in Honolulu before beginning our Hawaiian cruise. This was the perfect spot. Close to the beach and plenty of dinner spots. Our view was just as described.

The place was very clean, had everything you needed, and the views were fabulous. Groceries were near by, and just a short walk to the beach. My family and I had a wonderful time for our first trip to Hawaii. We would highly recommend staying here. For us, it was a great home base for a few days after our POA cruise. We were able to explore Diamond Head, and Pearl Harbor.Mahalo!

Perfect for 5 seniors visiting Honolulu then cruising from Pier 2 on NCL. The sofa bed was comfortable, worked out great with enough space, nice views 2 balconies, 2 bath. Kuerig/drip coffeemaker was great for us. Communication with owner was quick and easy. Highly recommend.

Rachelle, even though you communicated to me your reason for rating your stay as a 4 out of 5; unfortunately, you did not write your review to explain your reason for our potential guests to read. However, you indicated in this review, that you had "good communication with Marina Vacations," our management company. As I indicated in my response to your initial booking via VRBO, I said that Marina will assist you with any issue/problem that arises during your stay. The issue that you relayed to me in a separate email yesterday could have been fixed immediately for you. Thus, I am disappointed that your rating translates to an 80%/B- when your other comments to me yesterday were very positive but were not included in this review. Gloria was wonderful to work with and replied to messages immediately. I would like to meet her in person sometime.We found parking in a lot behind the Iliki at 1 per hour, but searching for spaces can be hard. Parking across the street at the Discovery Center seems readily available - cash only at 25 per 24 hours.
