Kutscherhaus ist in hervorragenden Wandergebiet und für die mehr Energie gibt es an der Küste, Waldspaziergänge und Moorlandschaften durch ein Netzwerk von hervorragenden Wege fast aus der Tür diente gelegen! Kutscherhaus bietet eine einzigartige Schlupfloch für Paare, die einen ruhigen Küsten Rückzug; es hat eine sehr helle und geräumige Gefühl, im Erdgeschoss ist die Küche mit Essbereich, ein separates Wohnzimmer mit raumhohen Fenstern und einem Bad mit Dusche über der Badewanne. Die Küchentür öffnet sich direkt in einem privaten ummauerten Innenhof und bietet den perfekten Ort, um im Freien zu essen. Im Obergeschoss das Schlafzimmer hat eine fantastische Aussicht über den Garten, Porlock Vale, auf das Meer und darüber hinaus.

The view over the front garden and to the sea, and the orchard at the back were a real bonus. The owners were wonderful and we look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended for anyone who could deal with the steep (but safe) staircase to the bedroom.

On a clear night you can see the Milky Way just by stepping out of the front door, a perfect place to see the stars in a very dark sky. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable and we had lovely weather so could enjoy sitting in the courtyard in front of the cottage. Behind the cottage the walk through the owners orchard was beautiful and led to a path from which you could walk to Porlock village in under ten minutes which was a bonus too.We loved our stay there and would love to return.

The cottage was perfectly equipped to a very high standard with every need met. Well heated including the wood burner for these winter breaks. The bed was very comfy. The owners have put a lot of thought into the décor and provisions and they themselves are very supportive for your stay. We loved our stay so much we have already booked another visit.

The cottage had everything we needed. It was relaxing, comfortable and clean. We felt Covid safe, in the fact that, all the windows were open when we arrived to air the property. The owner’s property is near but we didn’t feel overlooked at all. The views are stunning and there are plenty of walks around the area. Plenty of places to eat out too. Only negative is we didn’t have long enough there! Will book with Best of Exmoor again!

Lovely well equipped cottage in beautiful location , amazing views ,secure courtyard and added bonus of a lovely paddock (very popular with our Spaniel )behind the cottage which also has access to the Coleridge Way. 10 to 15 min walk into Porlock with many very dog friendly pubs and tea rooms.So many walks to choose from in area wether you want to drive or walk from your doorstep. Our third visit and will not our last .

Perfect for an outdoor-loving couple with a dog. Beautiful and comfortable characterful cottage, with plenty of space and a wood-burner that really packs a punch! Eating and shopping within easy reach; walk or car depending on your needs. Interesting scenery and decent walks from the doorstep; the owners and every local we met were friendly and welcoming without intruding. Wifi and all appliances, heating etc. worked perfectly without any complications. The stairs are steep, narrow and winding, but they are very safe and it isn't really a location for someone who couldn't manage them - they just add to the charm. Loved learning about the orchard, thank you. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for a quiet base to explore the area.

The village of Porlock is approximately 1/2 mile from Coachman's Cottage and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.

The harbour at Porlock Weir is approximately 1 mile from Coachman's Cottage. There are two restaurants (Locanda and Miller's at the Anchor), a pub (all three are dog-friendly) plus a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass and other independent retailers.

Many of the shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.
