Read the fine print! My mistake, but i didnt realize this was a private room in a shared space (living room, kitchen, bathroom all shared). As a solo female traveler, and for my first time in Spain, I didn’t feel comfortable about this arrangement so I booked another hotel shortly after arriving. The area also contributed to this decision. The street is very dirty, narrow, dark, and generally felt unsafe. My check in experience was terrible, as check in was at 4pm, but i arrived by train around 3pm. The host said this time was fine. My train was delayed 15 minutes, and the taxi took much longer than expected, and i had trouble finding the apartment. The person meeting me to give me the keys was not the host, and was extremely irritated about my late arrival (that was totally out of my control). This interaction also made me feel very unwelcome and was a huge turn off. Upon entering the building, i found that the lift was broken. So i carried my bags up to the 3rd floor (4th level if you’re american). The flat itself was very dark and uncomfortable to open the window curtains because the neighboring building could see right in. The space itself was clean and well kept.
