Baby Beach was named as such by locals long ago as it is a shallow area protected by an outer reef and yes there are rocks on the bottom surface once you get out into the water a bit. Perfect for babies and one of the safest beaches on island. It is not meant to be a swimming beach like Poipu Beach, Sheraton Beach or Lawai Bay which are all less than a few minutes away by car. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the spectacular views, proximity to the water, and the amenities we offer, such as the long lanai and beach gear. It's great to know that the resident chickens added a unique charm to your stay. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your visit. We understand the inconvenience caused by the limited number of beach towels. Based on your feedback, we are reassessing our policy to better accommodate our guests' needs, especially for those who have active schedules with multiple water-related activities. Regarding the bites you experienced, we take such matters very seriously. Over the years mosquitoes have been the number one culprit to this problem reported by our guests and not bed bugs. We sent in a professional extermination subcontractor after your feedback to verify if bedbugs were present in the home and they were not. Our team has taken all proactive measures we can in having bed bug protectors on every mattress and always checking for signs of bed bugs between each linen change. Hawaii is a very tropical environment and over the years we have learned to proactively use pest control solutions to help mitigate the impact to our guests. It seems no matter what proactive measures are taken, bugs/insects find their way into or around our properties in the Poipu area near the Ocean. We apologize again for the bites you experienced and for future guests we advise you to always have your mosquito/bug spray handy when outdoors, especially during the evening or night. We apologize for the oversight regarding the mid-stay cleaning service and not responding back to you. This is not reflective of our usual standards of communication and service. We are reviewing our processes to ensure better responsiveness in the future on mid stay cleanings. We advise guests to give us as much notice as possible in order to coordinate with our cleaning subcontractors and usually do not offer this service unless a guest is staying 14 nights or longer on property.
