Other local landmarks and attractions include Standen House and Garden, Sheffield Park and Garden, and the High Rocks National Monument, all within 12 miles. For a day by the coast, Brighton and Eastbourne are both within 25 miles.

To one side, the elegantly arranged kitchen is the heart of the retreat, with breathtaking views, ample equipment, a sociable central island and a handy additional dining table perfect for breakfasts and light meals. Heading through this characterful hideaway, which is adorned throughout with thoughtfully chosen artworks, the formal dining room is an ideal space for everyone to gather for a memorable special occasion. When it’s time to sit back and relax, the spacious lounge features an eye-catching inglenook fireplace with a welcoming wood burner, sumptuous seating and a TV, as well as further French doors to the patio. Exploring further, there’s a bright and tastefully presented ground-floor bedroom suite which can be made up as a king-size or a twin, and features a stylish en-suite bathroom as well as French doors to the garden. The ground floor also houses a practical utility room and a separate WC. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you will find the five remaining bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms feature lovely zip-and-link king-size beds, which can be made up as twin rooms on request. These two bedrooms each have refreshing en-suite facilities: one with a relaxing bathroom and the other with a soothing shower room. There’s also a charming double bedroom with a delightful en-suite bathroom, and finally a cosy double bedroom and a snug twin which share the main family bathroom.
