There are exceptional walking and cycling routes nearby and the village centre boasts independent shops, cosy cafés, welcoming pubs and a thriving arts and food scene, all set around a traditional High Street. Excellent rail connections on the London Waterloo–Exeter line make Tisbury a great starting point for days out. Or head to the village of Semley, where there’s a popular pub, artisan store and café in the centre. Just 5 miles south-west is the market town of Shaftesbury. Here you can enjoy stunning views of the Blackmore Vale, a trip down the iconic Gold Hill, explore the town museum and abbey ruins, plus enjoy a choice of eateries. Within 15 miles, Visit Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, the Stourhead estate and the city of Salisbury, home to a copy of the Magna Carta within its spectacular cathedral (all under 15 miles).
