Great space for a family trip with small kids. The house is super kid friendly with a crib, porta crib, high chair, toddler bed, lots of toys and a great game room for big kids. And lots of space for everyone to spread out. Great responsiveness from host before and during the stay. We would go back.

Fantastic layout to the house. Really appreciated all the kids toys, though some seemed like they could use a good washing. We had more than enough space and didn’t even use the downstairs, partially because it smelled damp and musty when we arrived, partially because we didn’t need it. Some of the bedrooms didn’t have storage for clothing, and every time we used hairdryers the circuit tripped. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, but was a little short on silverware given the size of our group - constantly had to wash cutlery. Blackstone grill was a nice addition, but seemed to have trouble lighting half the time. Would have liked to have outdoor furniture for the deck to enjoy as it was summer and would have been a nice place to relax. The home was a little dirty - cobwebs everywhere, inside and out and our baby’s knees and tops of his feet were black from crawling around the first couple of days. A/C units were nice in each of the bedrooms, but I think they need to be cleaned as we all started getting sore throats and coughs. Overall the house worked for our week there, but probably wouldn’t come back.

This is a beautiful home, clean, well appointed, excellent location. Owners are very helpful, responding quickly to questions. This was a week long family vacation. I would gladly stay here again.

Family weekend

We loved the location and set-up of the house. We had 3 kids (2y-6y) and 6 adults and everyone had a comfy place to sleep! It was great having so many toys and books available for the kids. Would definitely stay here again!

Ski weekend

My husband, children and grandchildren went away for ski weekend and our stay at this home was perfect. Plenty of room for sleeping and hanging out. Great playroom with games for kids to hang out. With teenage boys , it was perfect! Comfortable furniture and great kitchen! This is our second time renting here and would definitely go back again.

Bookclub celebration

We had 10 friends who stayed at this property and the house had everything we needed. Good spaces to hang out, comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. It is also in a quiet neighborhood away from the traffic in North Conway but close to some nice hikes and Echo Lake.

Holiday House

We found the house to be welcoming and perfect for our family! There is easy access to things to do in North Conway, skiing, tubing, eating out, shopping and a train ride aboard the snow train. The owner was easy to get in touch with when we needed the driveway to be plowed. We'll be heading back again next winter for another memorable stay at the Holiday House.

Great space but...

The house offered an abundance of space for my extended family to stay. The floor hockey table, arcade game and other toys were great entertainment for the children. The kitchen offered a great gathering space for our family. The house was cold upon arrival and the passcode for the thermostat was not provided. Host was quick to respond but the house still took hours to warm. Floors were not the cleanest as evidenced by our dirty socks. The lack of hot water put a damper on our stay as it was not restored before we departed. The host graciously provided an alternative remedy but with no understanding of the root cause, it shakes my confidence to stay there again.

Not what we expected

The pictures and reviews seemed amazing, we were so excited to get there and start our vacation. After a 10 hour drive with 4 kids under 4 (a long and exhausting drive) we showed up to the house a mess. The floors were dirty, beds were slept in, dirty towels on the floor, etc. We reached out to the owner and she said the cleaner would be there shortly, and we could go into town for a bit. We told her it was a long drive and needed to settle the kids and get dinner started. So we ended up cleaning, while the cleaning people quickly cleaned the rest of the house. Even after the house was cleaned, the kids feet and socks were black. So we cleaned multiple times in order to feel comfortable allowing our kids to play and run around on the floors. Don’t get me wrong, the cleaners were very nice and accommodating, but it seems as though the owner needs to show up to their house to see the condition it’s in. The carpets are disgusting, the curtains are falling apart, the dust and grime buildup were awful. The owner needs to address many issues, including returning our cleaning fee (as requested) since we spent the entire vacation cleaning instead of enjoying being away.

Not up to expectations

To say that we were disappointed would be an understatement. I will say that the space is large and provides plenty of space for people to gather, sit and eat. There overall state of the house was not what we have come to expect from a VRBO. The house is very musty smelling and lacking in cleanliness. The furniture was dirty, the floors were not clean, there were dirty dishes and utensils left for us to deal with. Several doors/windows don't open/close/lock properly so getting good ventilation was challenging. The house needs many updates and repairs.

Great for Large Families

Nice house with lots of room for our 3 families, which included 6 adults and 2 children. The kitchen has everything we needed and the owners left lots of toys games, books, and supplies. There are cribs, bunk beds and even a playpen if you need one. It is not a new house so it shows the wear and tear of some years and likely many renters, but it was clean. We had a small issue when we arrived but the owners were very responsive and took care of it immediately. Location and neighborhood are great. It is not the Waldorf, but if you are looking for a comfortable place with room for a large group, and one the has lots of accommodations, this should work for you.

Neglected Property

Arrived to neglected exterior (moldy, peeling paint, weeds, plants growing out of gutters, dangerous nails sticking out of old deck boards). Looked abandoned from outside. Entered kitchen to vase of dead flowers; months of dust/grime/cobwebs on kitchen light fixtures (had to clean before unpacking). No usable closets, sparse decor, mirror, side table in Master, old rug; dated, half painted bathroom w/ previous guest's bath items. (Had to fix toilet paper holder to keep on wall.) Guest bath sink cabinet old & broken; bath rug filthy. No extra paper products & only 3 dishwasher pods. Cleaned, organized & did our best to make presentable before family arrived. Daughters found sand at bottom of their sheets when went to bed - which meant they were not fresh/changed from last guest! No additional linens (towels or sheets) to change them & no laundry detergent to wash. Had to go to store, buy detergent; wash all linens before could sleep in beds. Kids bedroom w/ bunkbeds has ceiling fan, so if sat up in bed their head would hit fan (dangerous for kids!). Tried to use nice grill & deck so slanted that eggs/grease run off fast towards you. Had to put magazines under front feet to use. Vertical, noisy AC units; had to clean filters to run. I could go on, but you get the idea. Property good size & has potential; is a great location for families & kids (nice kitchen, TV room, basement game room, toys & baby items), but needs maintenance, owner attention & NEW cleaning company.

The home is in a nice area although it’s clear the neighbors do not like the VRBO being there. The home has major water intrusion problems and because of that it has a constant mold/mildew smell. This home needs major work to fix this problem.
