Tucked away in Oriental Place, the Oriental Hotel is more than just a place to stay - it’s a piece of Brighton’s cultural story. Over the decades, this building has quietly witnessed some of the city’s most iconic nightlife moments. During the 1980s, it was home to the Brighton Belle nightclub, a legendary venue that ran from 1984 to 1990 and is fondly remembered as one of the early DJ platforms for Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook), long before global fame followed. In 1991, the venue was reborn as the Beacon Royal Hotel, quickly establishing itself as one of Brighton’s most important and celebrated LGBTQ+ clubs. Under the ownership of Tony Chapman, it became a pioneering and welcoming space, playing a key role in Brighton’s reputation as one of the UK’s most inclusive and vibrant seaside cities.

Our Guest Promise
We want you to arrive at a spotless home. If anything has been missed with the cleaning, please let us know straight away, and we will put it right as a priority. If we are unable to resolve it on the same business day, we will offer to move you to another property or refund you for the affected time!
Check-In
We’ll send your check-in instructions via email and SMS at 3 pm on your arrival day for check-in from 4 pm, once your damage deposit/waiver has been paid.
Smoking
To keep our properties fresh and clean for all guests, smoking of any kind, leaving traces behind suggesting smoking of any kind, or vaping (including e-cigarettes), is not allowed indoors. Please smoke on the street or patio area, if available.
Noise
To help keep things peaceful for our neighbours, we kindly ask that noise be kept to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am. We want you to have a great time. A little consideration goes a long way to making sure everyone can enjoy their evenings (and get a good night’s sleep!)
Not all properties can host hen, stag, or similar group celebrations. If you’re planning one, just drop us a message, and we’ll happily guide you to a property that can accommodate your group.

Check-out is by 11 am. Unauthorised late departures may incur a £50 per hour fee.

Age Policy
The lead guest must be 21 or over. We cannot accept bookings where the majority of guests are under this age. If unsure, please contact us before booking please.
A Quick Note on Deposits and Property Care
If any of the above guidelines aren’t followed, we may need to make deductions from your deposit to cover additional cleaning or damages. We hope that’s never necessary!
