McArthur Manor is an exclusive use Scottish Manor in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, created for organised group stays where being together properly matters.
This is not simply a large house to rent, nor is it a package led venue built around fixed formulas. The Manor sits in its own space between a private country house, a well supported group stay, and a venue capable of hosting meaningful shared experiences under one roof. It is best suited to groups looking for something more personal, flexible, and thoughtfully run than a standard hotel or holiday rental.
Sleeping up to 33 guests across 15 en suite bedrooms, McArthur Manor is taken on an exclusive use basis, meaning the entire property is reserved solely for your group. That privacy is one part of what makes the stay special. The other is that the house has been shaped specifically around how groups actually want to spend time together.
Many large properties offer a good first impression, but once guests arrive, the reality can be fragmented. People end up split across drawing rooms, dining spaces, bars, and corners of the house that were never truly designed to hold a large group in one shared rhythm. McArthur Manor is different. It has been built around the experience of gathering well.
At the heart of the property is the McArthur Pavilion, a very large dedicated social and event space that transforms how the Manor works. This is not just an added function room. It is the architectural core of the group experience. Large enough to bring everyone together with ease, the Pavilion allows meals, meetings, screenings, games, celebrations, presentations, and late evenings to unfold naturally in one place rather than scattering the group across separate rooms.
The Pavilion combines scale with atmosphere. With 36 windows across two sides, walnut panelling on the others, and thousands of fairy lights woven through the space, it feels both impressive and warm. It is equally suited to a relaxed breakfast, a strategy session, a formal dinner, karaoke on the 4 metre screen, a red carpet movie night, a casino evening, or a proper Party that carries the group through the night without needing to leave the house.
A wide range of games and entertainment equipment is available within the Pavilion and across the property, including karaoke, pool, table tennis, cornhole, giant chess, beer pong, poker, croquet, football goals, and more. This is not entertainment for the sake of listing features. It is there because it gives groups an easy way to connect, unwind, and spend time together without needing constant external structure.
The Manor is especially well suited to:
overseas groups looking for one organised base in Scotland
business stays
retreats
leadership gatherings
company off sites
weddings where guests stay together
milestone celebrations
family and friendship groups wanting privacy with more support than a standard rental
One of the reasons McArthur Manor works so well is the flexibility of the hospitality model. Some groups choose to stay on a self catered basis and simply enjoy the house as their own. Others ask us to build in selective support, such as a few catered meals, drinks service, housekeeping help, or activities during the stay. Some prefer a more fully managed experience, where we help coordinate the structure of the trip from beginning to end.
From the first enquiry, you deal with one UK based point of contact who helps shape the stay around your group. During your time at the Manor, a daily guest attendant helps the house run smoothly in the background, supporting setup, coordination, light housekeeping, and food preparation where needed. That means organisers are not left carrying every practical task themselves, and the group can relax into the stay much more naturally.
This balance is important. McArthur Manor does not operate like a generic package venue, but nor does it leave guests entirely on their own. It gives groups the freedom of exclusive use, with the reassurance of having real support when needed.
Included with the Booking
Every booking includes:
exclusive use of the entire Manor
access to all 15 en suite bedrooms and communal spaces
daily guest attendant support during the stay
12pm check in
4pm standard check out
use of games equipment, banquet furniture, and decorations
one UK based point of contact to help organise services, entertainment, and the wider structure of the stay
The 4pm check out is one of the features guests value most once they experience it. Most large group properties bring the stay to an end in the late morning, which often means rushed packing, fragmented departures, and losing the final day to logistics. At McArthur Manor, departure still feels like part of the stay. There is time for one more breakfast, a final lunch, a slower morning, proper conversation, and a much more relaxed journey home. For many groups, it changes the emotional shape of the booking entirely.

Business and Retreat Stays
McArthur Manor is particularly effective for business stays and retreats because it offers something more distinctive than a hotel, while still being practical and easy to organise.
The Pavilion gives teams a large central space for meetings, planning sessions, presentations, shared meals, screenings, and more informal social time, without needing to split the group across multiple venues. Built in AV capability, projector facilities, flexible layouts, and the natural flow of the house allow the stay to move easily between productive and relaxed moments.
For organisers, this creates a strong balance of privacy, structure, and ease. Instead of coordinating separate accommodation, dining venues, and meeting rooms, the entire experience can happen in one place with one central plan.
A recent corporate guest wrote:
“Nicholas and the team were top notch. They created a specific individualised plan and coordinated our visit from A to Z. The prices were very reasonable.”
