Town: Walcott is a lovely coastal village that sits right in the middle of the Norfolk coastline, with many small and friendly coastal villages nearby; Bacton where the ruins of Bromholm Priory and Bacton Woods can be found, Happisburgh with its impressive lighthouse, and Mundesley with its fine sandy beaches are to name but a few. The name Walcott is derived from the Celtic word Walecote, which means "village by the wood".
