Dieses niedliche Häuschen befindet sich im Herzen der Innenstadt. Diese einzigartige Immobilie bietet Ihnen die Flexibilität, entweder einzelne Zimmer einzeln oder das gesamte Haus (3 Schlafzimmer / 3 Bäder) für bis zu sechs Personen zu mieten. Neben dem Hauptfoyer befinden sich 3 separate Schlafzimmer mit jeweils einem verschlossenen Eingang und einem eigenen Bad. Es gibt eine untere Ebene auf der Rückseite des Hauses mit separatem Eingang zu einer Lounge mit Küchenzeile (Spülbecken, Geschirrspüler, Kühlschrank, Toaster, KEIN OFEN usw.). Wir befinden uns im Zentrum der Innenstadt, sodass Sie Ihr Auto parken und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, Geschäfte und Restaurants zu Fuß erreichen können. Dies ist ein idealer Zwischenstopp vor oder nach der Erkundung der Olympischen Halbinsel. Wir sind nur vier Blocks von der Edmonds / Kingston Fähre entfernt. SMART-Fernseher streamen nur Filme (NETFLIX, HULA, AMAZON. KEIN Netzwerkkabel.)

This was my second stay at the Whale’s Nest in Edmonds, this time with my sisters, and I’m already planning a third trip with friends next spring! Its central location made it easy to enjoy the darling shops, great restaurants, and the farmers market all within walking distance. We loved the lower-level area with its own entrance and kitchenette—it might not be for everyone, but it was perfect for us to set up an arts table, watercolor together, and enjoy a charcuterie board from our market finds. The rooms were clean and comfortable, each with its own bathroom, and the owners were communicative and considerate. Truly top-shelf and a delightful stay.

Quaint cottage in a quaint village.

We enjoyed our stay in Edmond. It is a delightful town, within a block of the Whale’s Nest. We were just a few blocks from the ferry to Kingston. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

My team was attending a function Saturday. This location was amazing . All of the downtown activities were a short walk away. The rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable. Would stay here again.

Just a half block from downtown and a few blocks from the ferry to Kingston! Common area strangely in the basement which you access from the rear but it was very private and separate from main floor bedrooms, we liked it!

This was perfect for us. We all had our own room and bath. The downstairs area is a little strange, but completely usable. Kitchenette was stocked with dishes and silverware and a few pots and pans. The bathrooms were nice and clean and well lit once we figured out the dimmer switch! The bathroom mirror in room one was very small, but that is a very minor detail. Suggestion: a full length mirror in the hallway would be nice for everyone! The host was very responsive. And, this location is amazing. Walk to the beach, the ferry, cute shops, and bars and restaurants. There isn’t a walkable grocery store, but around the corner is an Ace Hardware that has a small grocery section!Thanks so much!

This beautiful cottage has perfect location and everything you need to enjoy artsy and walkable Edmonds; ferry into Seattle (Kingston, connecting with fast ferry or on Sounder trains); go on whale-watching cruises; or take picturesque train rides on Amtrak to Bellingham and beyond. Do this!

Sister's Birthday Celebrations

We wanted to spend some sister time together close to the water and Whale's Nest was perfect. There were five of us sisters and each had a birthday in each month from August through December. We did lots of talking, laughing, crying, eating and shopping. An amazing time was had by all. The rooms we excellent. The main gathering room was nice and clean but looked like plans for that area were still in progress. All in all, we really very much enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it to everyone.

great location in the bowl!

In the best location for experiencing Edmonds and to be able to walk everywhere without having to rent a car. The community shops, cafes, and restaurants are charming and welcoming. The property has a quirky floorplan, but adequate space, amenities, and privacy for each bedroom. The kitchenette could use a few more utensils, larger glassware, larger coffee mugs, and brighter lighting. Because there are no grocery stores within walking distance, a few more stocked supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and coffee pods would be appreciated. We would definitely stay at the whales nest again and hope to visit next year.

The location of this home couldn't be more ideal and is the main reason we chose it. You are within walking distance to a large selection of fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, the beach and everything Edmonds has to offer. Parking can be a challenge if your group has more than one car since the provided spot off the alley is pretty tight. We fit two cars in the spot but it was pretty challenging and there are restrictions on the street parking in the neighborhood. We had an issue with the coffee pot the second day of the stay and the owner was extremely responsive. He quickly came and swapped the coffee pot out and was very friendly and accommodative. The house was also very clean.However, the layout of the house is very odd which isn't clearly communicated in the listing. The main level consists of three bedroom - all with an ensuite bathroom which was nice. However, there was NO common area at all on this level which was inconvenient.The common area was the basement which included a small kitchen. Unfortunately, the only way to access this area from the main level was by exiting the home and walking around half of the house to some very steep steps to the basement level. This made it impossible to put my grandson to bed upstairs and spend time with my son and his wife in the evening down in the basement which was very disappointing. Something to keep in mind if togetherness is an important goal for your group.

With regard to your criticism of our description of the layout of the house, here is a quote from our listing: “Off the main foyer, there are 3 separate bedrooms each with a locked entrance and its own ensuite bathroom. There is a lower level around the back of the house with a separate entrance to a lounge with a kitchenette.” We do not hide the fact that our layout is quirky and we accurately describe it in the listing. We also quickly answer any questions potential renters may have about the property before booking to make sure we are a good fit. But ultimately, it is up to the renter to do their diligence. Disconnected Interior

The advertising for this unit could be more clear to align what the users expect to find verses what is there. The main disconnect for us is that the front door leads into only a small narrow hallway with 3 lockable bedroom doors. The main common area is located in the basement which is accessed only by going back outside the building, around to the other side of the building and down an exterior stair. Most places have the bedrooms off the main common area and there was not enough description to lead us to think that we would get anything different. Trying to hang out with the family required us to go outside the building many times to go between the bedrooms and the common area.

Since the day we listed our property over 6 years ago, it has included the following description: “Off the main foyer, there are 3 separate bedrooms each with a locked entrance and it's own ensuite bathroom. There is a lower level around the back of the house with a separate entrance to a lounge with a kitchenette.” The pictures and description in our listing communicate as clearly as we can the unique characteristics of our property. We are also always available to answer any questions customers may have.

Very convenient location for eats, shopping , water / beach . House was decorated very nice and very clean . However …… kitchen and sitting room has no access from bedrooms you have to go outside around to the back of the house to get access and that information was not relayed in the description of house . Going to get coffee in the AM it was dark and rained every day you walked in the wet dark and slippery basement stairs . No TV downstairs .

We used Whale's Nest for a UVA reunion over the summer. The Whale's Nest was a perfect location for us near my condo. Loved having three en suite rooms. We socialized and cooked at my condo and used Whale's Nest for additional sleeping accommodations.

In the right neighborhood.

We were in Edmonds for a family function which took place near the Ferry dock. The location of the house is perfect for central city activities. We had to get used to the fact that the common area was out the front door, around the building and down the stairs, but it worked out.

Location Location Location

Fantastic Location in the heart of Edmonds. Nice accommodation for a group that needs 3 separate bedrooms, each with private bath. The common area / lounge is unfortunately awkwardly set up as if it were an obligatory afterthought - not a cozy inviting area for my group accessible only from a door leading to the basement. But the quality of the 3 bedrooms and overall experience staying at the Wales Nest was great. Without hesitation I would recommend the Wales Nest to friends and family.
