This comfortable and welcoming property is a great choice for families or groups of friends and is located within 1 mile of all the amenities of the popular coastal village of Seahouses. Here, you’ll find a variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, a golf course and a harbour offering boat trips to the Farne Islands, renowned for grey seals, puffins and other wildlife. This is a designated National Landscape, and there are gorgeous views to be found all around, among them the vistas of Bamburgh Castle as you walk the coast path, around 2.5 miles each way. For birdwatching, Budle Bay is 4.5 miles, or head further afield and explore the Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle, 19.5 miles, or the stunning Alnwick Castle, 14.5 miles, which had a starring role as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.
Step through the sliding garden doors and into the kitchen/diner, a light-filled room with a tiled floor and tongue-and-groove feature wall. Style goes hand in hand with function here, and the corner table with bench seating accommodates eight people, while a large dresser holds crockery and other kitchenware. For the cook, everything is easily to hand, including a gas hob and a microwave. After supper, head into the spacious lounge, where there’s an array of soft seating, artworks on the walls and eye-catching, boat-shaped shelving units. A Smart TV offers entertainment if you decide to stay in for the evening, and there’s a wood burner for warding off the chill in the winter months. For little ones, or just to grab a quiet moment on your own, there’s also a snug, which has more seating and another Smart TV. Completing the ground floor is a handy WC. All four handsome bedrooms are upstairs, including a super-king-size with an en-suite shower room, plus a king-size bedrooms, a double room and a twin room, the latter three sharing a family bathroom.
The large garden outside includes an area of artificial grass and a large patio, with an outdoor dining platform in one corner. There’s room for two cars to park off road, with further on-street parking subject to availability.
