Gather the family together in the lounge/diner, whether it’s for a film on the big screen or a culinary speciality you’ve been promising them all week, one that gets the senses purring while it's being prepared in the neighbouring kitchen. When everyone is ready for bed, or needs some quiet time, sanctuary is provided in each of the three bedrooms. The first floor is shared between a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and the family bathroom, while on the second floor, the en-suite king-size bedroom includes seating with blissful views past a Juliette balcony. You can send the children off to the beachside playground if they’re starting to get restless, calling them back when it’s time for sinful portions of fish and chips in the courtyard garden.

There’s plenty to occupy the whole family in and around Felixstowe. The beach (50 metres) is perfect for strolls, sunbathing or swimming, while the old town’s golf course (3.5 miles) enjoys uninterrupted sea views. The Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB (4 miles) is a great place to reconnect with nature, and you can eat and shop to your heart’s content in the riverside town of Woodbridge (14 miles).
