Offering light, bright and cosy accommodation for up to four guests, this welcoming waterside retreat makes a fantastic base for anglers, walkers, boat enthusiasts and nature spotters. The picturesque town of Smallburgh is to the west (1.5 miles), with the market town of Stalham to the east (2 miles). Barton Turf Adventure Centre (3 miles) lies at the northern end of Barton Broad, a popular location for sailing and nature spotting. Wroxham Barns, Hickling Broad and Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve are all within 11 miles. For a peaceful day at the seaside, head to Happisburgh, Sea Palling or Eccles-on-Sea, all within 6.5 miles. A little further away is the Blue Flag beach at Mundesley (10 miles). Just 6 miles away lies the acclaimed ‘capital of the Norfolk Broads’, Wroxham, while the popular seaside destination of Cromer is 16 miles away. Head to Horsey Gap (9.5 miles) for a day of seal spotting.


Entering this delightful cottage, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner offers a warm welcome. The beautiful lounge has been tastefully arranged, with light, neutral décor, and features ample seating and a smart TV. The inviting dining table is over to one side, ideal for enjoying family meals together. To the rear of the room, the stylishly arranged and fully equipped kitchen has plenty of storage and workspace. The refreshing bathroom is also on the ground floor. Heading upstairs, the first floor has a choice of two bright and relaxing bedrooms: a cosy twin and a lovely double. This floor also features a separate WC.


From the lounge, double doors lead out into the patio area with garden furniture, providing a lovely space for dining alfresco. The patio opens directly onto the water, perfect for a spot of fishing. There is a mooring for a small boat available if required, and you will also have access to gym equipment, a heated indoor pool and a sauna, which are shared with the four other properties on-site. Private parking is available for two cars.

- All 5 properties on site have exclusive use of the indoor heated swimming pool and sauna

- The sauna is coin-operated and costs £2 per 30 minutes

- Gym equipment available

- Fishing is permitted in season from your private riverside patio

- Dinghy available for hire at £60 per week (arranged directly with the owner prior to arrival)

- There is a slipway to launch your own small boat that can be moored outside your cottage

- Private off-road parking for 2 cars

- Pub 300m, shop 2 miles, beach 6 miles

- Sleeps 4+1 – Z bed available on request
