The lovely lounge/diner is the centre of this appealing property, illuminated with natural light through three tall, arched windows. Here you’ll find comfortable sofas arranged around a TV and DV, plus a Hi-Fi with iPod dock, books, games, puzzles and artwork to make you feel at home. Enjoy your meals at the dining table and then snuggle up for a relaxed evening of reading, listening to music, playing games or watching a favourite show. The sweet kitchen has everything you’ll need to create meals for two or family suppers. There are two pretty bedrooms, decorated in soft tones: a king-size and a twin, the latter small and best suited to children. They share a bathroom with a shower over the bath. For a breath of fresh air with a coffee or a glass of something, there’s a bistro table in the small seating area, which leads to a shared courtyard. You also have use of a secure shed, ideal for bikes or buggies.

In Southwold you can park up and spend the rest of your holiday car free. Within minutes you can be walking along the prom, playing the quirky slot machines on the pier, touring the famous Adnam’s Brewery or exploring the town’s many shops, galleries and places to eat and drink. If you’re feeling energetic you could hire a bike and explore the surrounding villages, taking in some beautiful scenery along the way, or (in the summer) catch the ferry across to lovely Walberswick.
