You’ll have an array of restaurants and shops as well as a beach and easy access to nearby nature reserves while based in this town-centre property.


Inside the property is a traditional kitchen with deep, Earthy tones, modern appliances such as a Range cooker and American-style fridge/freezer plus a small breakfast table. Continue into the dining room to find high ceilings and a large table with seating for all of your guests where you can admire sea views. Also on the ground floor is a snug, family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a double room and a family room with a double and two single beds. The first floor boasts panoramic sea views and has vintage furniture. There is also a library, two family bathrooms plus two king-size bedrooms on this floor. The second floor has a king-size bedroom and a double with an en-suite. Outside is an enclosed garden with furniture.


Start your day with a stroll around Southwold to discover delightful cafes, independent restaurants, shops and historical landmarks (all within 0.5 miles). Spend your time relaxing on Southwold Beach (less than 500 metres). For a competitive day out, head to the nearby go-karting track (10.5 miles). If you’d prefer something more relaxing, stroll along the coast to reach The Denes Beach (0.5 miles) or visit the nearby Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve (6.5 miles).


Owners Comments: Seacroft has been part of our family for decades, but part of Southwold since the 14th century, when it was a simple three-room cottage. The exposed ship’s timber over the staircase dates from when the second floor was added – shipwrecks on the beach were common and the timber put to good use. When my family bought the house many years ago it was two flats and the dining room to the side. We turned it into a single house, planted the tree and everything in the garden – you’ll see a few family mementos doted around. It’s not perfect – houses this old never are – but we love it very much and hope you enjoy it too.
