This comfy two-bedroom home is a great pick for families, couples or friends looking to discover delightful Whitstable. Just one mile from Whitstable castle, a straight walk past the harbour and shops and just 500 metres from the town’s shingle beach, so you can easily start each day with a refreshing dip. Being right in the heart of town means plenty of great places to eat and drink are within 0.5 miles, and if you’re lucky enough to visit during the annual Oyster Festival (and like seafood!), you’re in for a culinary treat. Take on the Whitstable Coastal Trail or Saxon Shore Way, or for a rural adventure, the magnificent Kent Downs are only 10 miles away, while the historic city of Canterbury, with its iconic cathedral, is just 7 miles away – why not catch a local bus there to better enjoy the ride?
On arrival, you’ll pass through a communal hall and into this welcoming ground-floor apartment. From here, a couple of steps lead you down into a bright open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space. There's a large corner sofa where you can all get cosy in front of the Smart TV, plus a dining table for sitting down for leisurely meals. In the well-equipped kitchen, which has elegant countertops, your designated chef can whip up meals with produce from Whitstable’s twice-monthly market if you’re there on the right week. The apartment has two bedrooms – one double and one twin – with the latter enjoying garden access through its glass doors. A family bathroom, featuring a shower over the bath and a WC, completes the indoor space.
From the lounge, a door opens out to a lovely enclosed courtyard garden with a patio table and chairs, ideal for morning coffees or evening drinks.
