We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Princeville. It was our favorite property out of all of the years we have been visiting Kauai. The outdoor living space is so nice to hang out and relax, and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfy and the showers are great. The neighborhood is peaceful and close to walking trails. The property manager and owner are wonderful- they really care about your stay and go out of their way to make sure all is well! Thank you for our special time there!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our needs. Christine and Sophia made sure we had everything we needed and were quick to answer any questions. The house is well laid out. Kitchen had necessary cookware. Beds were comfortable too. We would stay here again.

Perfect

Relaxing time with family. We did hiking, kayaking and tubing. Nice quiet area. Great food. The pool was perfect for refreshing dip at the end of the day. House has great amenities.

Great location

Sophia and Christine were great to work with and very flexible. The location was perfect for the activities we planned to do in that area. We stayed with another couple and the house is perfect for 2 couples. The pool and lanai area was where we spent the majority of our time.

We had a great time here, having a private pool to cool off in and a large relaxing lanai enhanced our overall Kauai vacation. The house is set up perfectly to have 2 couples or a family of 4-6. great location with convenient amenities nearby. Christine was really response and welcoming, even sent a list of local favorites to check out!

Our time and stay on Kauai and Princeville Pool House was exceptional! The island was beyond expectation & the Princeville home matched the experience. Nice home in a quiet neighborhood.

We just returned from our trip over the holidays. From the start, Christine and her team did a great job with communications and checking in. Great location in Princeville

We really liked staying at this property. The neighbourhood is great, and the location in Princeville is a short 10 minute walk to Foodland for groceries, and to local restaurants. There is an artisan market there on the weekends. And it is a short drive into Hanalei for more shopping, dining, and beaches. Christine, the owner, and Sophia, the property manager, were very helpful, great to deal with, and always responded promptly. We wish the pool was heated, as it certainly was "refreshing" during our February stay. We did have some minor issues, but Sophia took care of them promptly. Overall, though, we highly recommend this location, and would certainly return in the future.

Pool House vacation

Over all we all really enjoyed the house, pretty much as advertised. Wonderful Lanai to sit out on with plenty of room for all. Although because of orientation you don't feel the trade winds much. Kitchen was large and easy to cook in(might need to upgrade the frying pans soon). Bedrooms were separated so privacy was not a problem. Master bedroom mattress was a little too soft for my liking but...Bathrooms were well appointed and spacious. Ok now for a little constructive criticism. TV cable situation is confusing at best or as one of my 20 year olds put it "anytime you have to deal with 3 remotes something is not right" Also for a higher end rental property you need to have more than a cable selection than 20 channels! Maybe this is problem with island cable companies but I doubt it. The living/kitchen room fan switches were not working and feel like they are broken so we had little fan circulation in that room which is definitely needed. Fans in bedrooms work fine. While the pool was very refreshing after a hot day out to dip into, the actual dimensions are 20 feet x 12 feet x 4 feet deep so don't expect to get any lap swimming in. Pictures can be deceiving thats why I think its important to know the actual size. Last and not least this has to do with VRBO. For some reason after booking VRBO requested a $2000. deposit on top of all the other charges!!! My sister runs a VRBO property and has never heard of this and in the Owners defense they were unaware of this charge also. Not sure how long it will take to be reimbursed for this. If a few things were dealt with in my suggestions I would definitely return to this property. Scott Swann

You won't be bored

This was the first vacation rental in Hawaii I have stayed in that wasn’t ocean view or beach front and I wasn’t sure I would like it. The location made up for the lack of beach/ocean view. We could walk to the grocery store/ aka ice cream shop. We were minutes away from several beaches. There is a lot of hiking in the area. The town of Hanalei is close if you want to walk around shops. Na Aina Kai botanical garden is close; I saw Albatross chicks there, Kilauea Lighthouse is amazing, the Anaina Hou Community Park is down the road and has a fun fire show, Common Ground is also down the road and offers a great educational tour and dinner. There are so many things to do in the area. I had no problem filling our days. The house needs some love, as do all homes. The dishwasher is grumpy, there are directions on how to use it in the house. The house is comfortable, with lots of places to sit back and relax. We ate all our meals outside and basically spent most of our time on the lanai. We stayed for a month, to save money, I cooked a lot and had no problems cooking a variety of meals. The grill looks small, but it works great. We were very happy with it. A big plus was that the ice maker worked I find they don’t always work in a rental property. My husband and I both worked while we were there and the office was great for my loud husband’s zoom meetings and the internet was great, no problems working. I worked on the lanai. There is no AC which was not a problem in February and March, but the house does get warm. There are some basics in the house, soap, some shampoo, sunscreen, those types of items. Bring bug spray we bought some bug coils for outdoors during the evenings. There are beach items; cooler, umbrella, beach chairs, boards, and snorkel gear. We also liked the puzzles they gave us something to do when it was raining. The pool was good for taking a dip and cooling off or floating and reading. Communication with Christine and Sophia was great, and they checked with us to make sure things were going well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Good enough for the price

We visit Hawaii 3 times a year and always stay in a private home or condo. In Princeville we have always done condos with views of the ocean. This time we decided to try a house with a pool. This house is bargain priced compared to some others with a pool. The house is in decent shape except for the normal rental 'wear and tear'. To us it didn't feel like a home that someone would live in but more of a 'rental house'. The location is great. Nice, quiet neighborhood (except for the occasional yapping dog across the street!). We loved the layout of the house with the pool in the front courtyard and the house wrapped around it. This house is the perfect layout for 2 couples traveling together because the bedrooms are at far corners of the house giving you lots of privacy. The house was very clean inside and the normal Hawaii bugs and ants were very very minimal. There is definitely some items that make the house seem 'bargain'. A couple upgrades would give it a whole different feel. First off the couches in the living room are horrible. So worn and dirty. The arms are completely broken down from being so used that it is uncomfortable to even rest your arm there. They are definitely past their prime and probably should have been replaced a couple years back. The second issue we had were the nasty bed pillows. Every pillow in the house was dirty, stained and just gross. I did complain to the owner who had the housekeeper call me the next day. By that time I had already purchased 2 new pillows myself and found extra pillow cases to double up on the other pillows we ended up using in the house. I told the housekeeper (who was very nice and very concerned) that all those pillows needed to be replaced. Who wants to sleep on something stained and yellow and dirty. Maybe invest in some pillow covers to keep them cleaner. The pool was nice to cool off in at the end of the day. There is lots of outside furniture for relaxing and dining. The garage has plenty of beach chairs, pool floats, beach umbrella, etc. We had a great time on our vacation and it was nice to stay in a private, quiet home.

Gepflegtes sauberes Domizil

Wir haben das Haus in sauberem, gepflegten Zustand angetroffen. Die Küche war grosszügig eingeteilt und mit allem ausgestattet was genötigt wird. Zimmer schön gross und gemütlich. Badezimmer schön und grosszügig . Wohnzimmer offen, schön hell durch Dachfenster und gemütlich eingerichtet. Lanai sehr schön mit dem gepflegten sauberen Pool. Man hat sehr grosse Privatsphäre, da der Poolbereich von aussen keine Einsicht bot. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an sehr Wohl im Pool- Haus. Auch hatten wir alle nötigen Informationen, wie Hauscode, Garagentor, Ansprechperson vor Ort usw. damit wir unseren Aufenthalt von Anfang an geniessen konnten.

We loved our stay at the Princeville Pool House. The house is even better than the pictures, has everything we needed, was clean, spacious, and had a well equipped kitchen. It is in a great central location where it was easy to walk to the Princeville Center. We honestly could not find one negative thing to say about this beautiful property and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We'll be back!

Just arrived home from 16 days at E Komo Mai and we already cannot wait to go back. This was our 6th year in a row to the island and this was the best rental by far. This house is very comfortable and the pool and lanai were awesome amenities. We have never stayed in Princeville before, but I loved the location. Christine made the reservation process easy for my first VRBO experience and her housekeeper Sophia was super responsive to messages. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home.

This is a lovely house: well furnished and everything one would need in the kitchen. The pool was very private and great for cooling off at the end of the day. It was a bit small to swim much. Perfect for two couples

We stayed here with my in-laws for a summer visit. Having the pool really helped when you needed to cool off in the afternoon or just relax. The outdoor space was very comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, and plenty of space for you to unpack your things. The kitchen was big enough for several people to be prepping and cooking.

Paradise on Kauai

This little slice of paradise in Princeville was perfect. Beautiful house, quiet neighborhood, and perfectly located on the island. Walking distance to the mall (groceries, shave ice, ice cream, restaurants, etc). We used the pool and outdoor area every day. Christine is a pro at communication. Book now, you won’t regret it!

Great house in Princeville

Great house in Princeville, loved this location. All of the amenities are very thoughtful with water toys, hats, books, puzzles, etc. Kitchen is very well stocked and all the appliances worked nicely. Backyard is awesome with lounge chairs, a dining table, and a pool. Privacy hedges and a fence gave it an oasis type feeling. Pool is a single depth of about 5 feet and the perfect size for the 2 of us. Plenty of overhead fans and windows. If it is warm when you are there, I think the bedroom off of the kitchen may be a little cooler than the bedroom off of the living room. Good communications with the property manager. Overall, we had a very nice time here.

Great Vacation

We loved our stay at this house in Princeville. This was our favorite VRBO we have had. The house is in a great location, has everything you need for your stay, and we loved coming home to the pool for a relaxing swim in the afternoons after hiking or hitting a beach in the morning. We also loved the close proximity to Hanalei for restaurants, and sunsets on the beach. The owner, Christine, and the property manager, Sophia, were both awesome to work with. The house was even better than we expected. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Kauai. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Arriving at our home is like entering a little piece of paradise; opening the gate into the tranquil courtyard with sparkling pool, stepping into the cool, airy light-filled house......we know we're home but away from it all! Its a short drive to the shopping centre, to nearby Anini beach and of course for sunset cocktails at the Princeville Resort.
