Priory View in Conishead, Cumbria, sleeps six people in three bedrooms.
Priory View is an end-terrace cottage in the small village of Conishead near to Ulverston in Cumbria. The cottage sleeps six people and has one double bedroom with an en-suite, two twins and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage area fitted kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture. With a golf course nearby and being close to the coast and the Lake District National Park, Priory View is a lovely family holiday home, all year round.
Amenities: Gas central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, three draw freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with FreeSat, DVD, WiFi. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Lockable bike store. Enclosed lawned garden to front and side with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: There are stairs in this property that limited mobility may struggle
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
