Swift Cottage ist eines von neun Cottages, die liebevoll aus den bestehenden Gebäuden eines Bauernhofs umgebaut wurden. Die Ferienhäuser liegen ruhig inmitten von Weideland und bieten einen schönen und unvergesslichen Ausblick auf die umliegende Landschaft. Mit einem beheizten 38 ft * 16 ft. Innenpool und hochwertigen Freizeiteinrichtungen bietet das Swift Cottage mit seinen freiliegenden Dachbalken und der offenen Galerie alles. Großer Wohn- / Essbereich mit einem Schieferboden - 40 "Smart-TV, DVD-Player und USB-Aufnahmeeinrichtung, Spiele, Bücher usw. Holzofen. Die Lounge bietet direkten Zugang zur privaten Terrasse im vorderen Innenhof. Küche - moderne Stileinheiten - gut ausgestattet neben dem Essbereich. Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss mit zwei Einzelbetten, Flachbild-TV mit DVD-Player und en-suite Badezimmer mit Dusche, Wendeltreppe zum Galeriebereich zu öffnen. Hauptschlafzimmer im ersten Stock mit Kingsize-Bett, Flachbild-TV mit separatem DVD-Player und en-suite Badezimmer mit Dusche. Heizung, Bettwäsche, Handtücher usw. alles inklusive. Gratis Wifi. Swift hat den zusätzlichen Vorteil des hinteren Zugangs zum angrenzenden gemeinsamen beheizten Hallenbad und Spielzimmer und dem kommunalen Außenbereich für den Kinderspielplatz, Picknickplatz und Grillplatz, etc.

Draußen
Extern Swift hat eine große Terrasse mit Picknicktisch und Sonnenschirm, sowie einen begleitenden Holzsitz zusammen mit Grill, Topfpflanzen und Sträuchern in angrenzenden Blumenbeeten. Dieser Bereich ist eine Sonnenfalle für Essen im Freien.
Familien können die ruhige Umgebung der offenen Landschaft genießen, während sie gemeinsam mit der Familie oder mit anderen Familien und Freunden im Gemeinschaftsbereich grillen, während die Kinder in der Nähe spielen.
Im Jahr 2015 investierte Newhouse Barton Management in einen Biomassekessel für den Betrieb des Gemeinschaftsgebäudes, so dass wir jetzt "grün" sind und der Umwelt helfen.

Amazing Swift Cottage.

Wow what a fabulous place! Lovely and quiet, off the beaten track but will all facilities you could want. The pool, games room and outdoor play areas were fantastic. Swift Cottage was outstanding! Beautifully clean, all the facilities we needed including dishwasher and washing machine. The 2 bedrooms each had a lovely en-suite with power showers. Just perfect!

Absolutely wonderful

We have had the most wonderful stay at a swift cottage. Completely away on its own yet close to beautiful Torquay and 10 minutes to local town for shopping. Fantastic amenities especially the pool and play areas. Immaculate cottage beautifully kept and exceptional contact and information from the owner. We will recommend to all and most certainly be back - 5 stars !!

Perfect getaway

Gorgeous property, location wonderful (the lane to the cottage is narrow - a typical Devon lane, but worth the drive). Excellent communication from a Jacqui both before and during our stay (as the weather had turned colder, Jacquie checked that we were warm enough which we were because the cottage was beautifully warm). Had everything you needed in the cottage and more. Will absolutely recommend Swift Cottage to everyone. Thank you for a wonderful time (even though the weather wasn’t at its best!) 😀

High spec cottage

Nice, clean cottage furnished to a high specification which is well of the beaten track. Family friendly with a large communal swimming pool and games room and outside play area. There is a PodPoint 7kw charging post which is charged at a very high price if you want to use it. Consequently, there were at least 4 EV/PHEVs parked on the parking lot but nobody used it.

Pod-point - EV - the price compares with other commercial EV's in the area and is based on a hourly charge - first hour £3.00 or part there of for the time the car is plugged in. The pod-point is used frequently by our guests and they are pleased that we invested in one for the convenience of use by EV owners.

Das Anwesen ist von Schafen und Weideland umgeben. Der Spielplatz und das Spielzimmer für schlechtes Wetter kamen bei unserer Tochter sehr gut an. Das gesamte Anwesen ist gut gepflegt. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die über WLAN vom Vermieter gesteuerte Heizung. Da die Vermieterin gut per Mail erreichbar ist, reagiert sie schnell und ist hilfsbereit. Wir können die Unterkunft guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!

Translation from German:- Great, quiet location ... a worry-free package The property is surrounded by sheep and pastureland. The playground and the playroom for bad weather arrived very well with our daughter. The entire property is well maintained. Somewhat hard to get used to is the WLAN controlled by the landlord heating. Since the landlady is well accessible by mail, she responds quickly and is helpful. We can recommend the accommodation in good conscience!

Lovely little break away

Swift cottage is a gorgeous little place...so clean, comfy and well equipped. We arrived in the dark and the cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. The grounds were immaculate and the pool was a big hit with our 2 year old. Great communication with host as Jacquie was just a message away if we needed anything. Many thanks :)

Beautiful property in a beautiful location

I would highly recommend this property. It has everything you could possibly need and is very comfy. It helps too that on site there is a very well looked after and child friendly pool. The games room and playground are an added bonus. Having a 2 year old and an 8 year old it was a nice surprise that the owner has re-modelled the staircase. The phots initially showed a spiral staircase but this is now a much more child friendly staircase. We enjoyed this property so much that we have already booked for next year!

A relxing stay in Beautiful surroundings.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped. We all enjoyed the swimming pool, especially the 4 year old. The play area was also very popular with him too! I would definitely recommend this for family's and those looking for a peaceful place to unwind.

Lovely stay at Swift cottage

We had a lovely week stay here. The location was so peaceful, it was very welcome after coming from the city. The children loved having access to the pool and had great fun. The cottage itself was cozy and welcoming and very clean. It had everything you needed to make meals. We would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you for the stay.

Lovely cottage in such a tranquil spot

Really enjoyed our time here, the building is a really lovely old farmhouse and the conversion to cottages have been done very tastefully. Very cosy with everything we needed. It is a very isolated location but on the plus side it is very peaceful! Loved the pool, fantastic for our little 4 month old baby to have a splash and also big enough for adults to do some laps. We hope to be back!

Great Stay at Swift Cottage

We had an amazing time at the Swift Cottage and will definitely be back. The cottage is lovely and was spotlessly clean on arrival. The cottage has a lot of facilities, washing machine, dishwasher, iron, hairdryers, coffee machine etc. There are also two bathrooms which are incredibly convenient when staying with family. The beds and pillows are also really comfortable. There is also a very nice heated indoor swimming pool, easily accessible, and directly across from the cottage which we made full use of. Jacquie was also a fantastic host and gave us a call to make sure everything was alright. The local area is nice and has lots of things to see and do.

Lovely small cottage for family and dog with great swimming pool

The cottage was nicely presented, clean and tidy. The living space was quite small but exactly as described and expected; the bedrooms are both good sizes. The cottage is well equipped but the selling point was the swimming pool, which we used every morning. (There are other leisure activities, which we didn't use only because the weather was so lovely we were out all day). The owner sent excellent directions, which you need as it is 'off the beaten track', and other instructions and everything was very well organised in the cottage. The location is picturesque but you do need to drive some narrow lanes before you start to get anywhere; however lots of lovely places are within easy reach. The owner had recommend a river trip to Dartmouth and that was the highlight amongst our varied travels. We ate in every evening in part because the cottage was comfortable and cooking facilities food but also because we didn't fancy the drive anywhere in the evening. It appears as with all HomeAway cottages there is a very limited hamper on arrival, which is OK except some milk and bread would be nice, if nothing else, because the first thing we want on arrival is a cup of tea! We always check what we can expect but when other cottage providers provide a wide range of local produce this omission always looks a bit mean and could catch other less organised travellers out.

Goed uitgeruste vakantiewoning

Alles zag er uit als op de foto’s en huis was heel goed uitgerust met alles wat nodig was. Zeer goede WiFi wat belangrijk was voor onze puberzoon. Hele leuke omgeving en veel gezien aanrader is round Robin. Het was heel mooi weer en het enige wat ontbrak waren goede tuinstoelen. Mooi zwembad en leuke gameroom vooral met de tafeltennistafel. Everything looked like on the pictures and house was very well equipped with everything that was needed. Very good WiFi which was important for our adolescent son. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very nice weather and the only thing missing were good garden chairs. Nice pool and nice game room especially with table tennis. Pool table must be paid for. Only downside is that we could not run well beyond Top holiday. Just translated your review see above. Thank you for your review. I will make sure that the garden chairs are more comfortable for the 2019 summer.

Clean, well maintained cottage.

This is the nicest cottage we have stayed in. Clean, well stocked and in a nice area. The pool is warm and clean and the grounds are well kept.

Swift Cottage

This was the second time that we booked Swift Cottage. The facilities are very good and there is an excellent swimming pool. There are plenty of places to eat in the area. We visited the Dartington Estate just outside of Totnes where both cafés served excellent food with vegan options on their menus. Jacquie the owner is easy to contact and ensures that everything is ready on your arrival. The cottage and local area is dog friendly.

Fantastic!

We have arrived at swift cottage, and it was just what the Dr ordered, it is in a quiet location, ideal for any one who wants to relax but close enough to towns if you want to venture. The cottage was lovely and worked great for us with having a disabled son, with it having a bedroom down stairs and bathroom. On site the swimming pool and play area was very clean and great to do when we didn't want to go of site. The cottage was very clean and cosy. Jacquie the owner was great to book with and we will definitely come back again!

In 2012 I retired as a Chartered Architect, having run my own architectural practice for over 15 years, before that I was a Architect for an outer London Borough, specializing in Education and Leisure buildings. In my early 20's I was married to a Civil / Structural Engineer, but my career took over and hence I got divorced. My career is now the self-catering cottages having a barn conversion near Aldeburgh, Suffolk and now Swift Cottage near Totnes. My friends and family love Swift Cottage especially my two toy poodles 'George and Pippa'.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Many family holidays with my parents were spent in Devon at a farm in Colyton and when I found Swift Cottage for sale, I knew that I had to buy it, as it was surrounded by the rolling hills of South Devon, just as I remember the area in my early years.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

Swift Cottage is unique in its design by having exposed oak beams, vaulted ceiling, staircase with access to a mezzanine leading to the first floor main bedroom. Ground floor bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms with ensuites. Rear door leading direct to the pool and games room. The cottage is cosy with its wood burning stove and electric heating in all rooms.
